Zharis
Huh. How long is this hallway? That looks like way too far to walk.
She activates her jump jets to move her forward since she doesn't want to walk, flying forward 30 feet at a time.
GM choice on when she gets bored and stops... if there is no illusion where she actually smacks into a wall or other storyline thing you want to trigger, she goes like 4 rounds or so? So 120 feet down the hall.
Tulgram Coldforge
If Tulgram can collect the liquid, he will come back and do it. And then he will try to walk all the way down the strange corridor to the end.

Zharis rockets down the hallway and disappears into the infinite distance point! But when Tulgram tries to follow, he suddenly disappears and reappears at the beginning of the corridor!
Per Tulgram's action, could whoever's doing the equipment management please add three serums of enhancement (sensate) to the list? Thanks.
Zharis: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Tulgram: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 4 = 15
Zharis
Added to the loot list.
Xylian Xuuvats
Xylian sends the remote control drone down the hallway.
Tulgram Coldforge
Did I understand correctly that we kind of lost Zharis on the other side? In this case:
Damn it, this is some kind of magic! I'll bloody try again! And he tries...
Jin Goei
Jin waits for the drone video footage before doing anything.
GM Jhaeman
As Xylian sends a remote drone through, Tulgram again moves down the corridor, his short stride slow but steady. And unlike last time, this time he disappears down the vanishing point of the corridor!
That was Round 2. For Round 3, Jin, Xylian, and Hani can act.
Tulgram: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 4 = 22
Xylian Xuuvats
Jin Goei
Jin goes after the drone.
GM Jhaeman
Jin disappears down the tunnel!
Okay, what we are going to do now is "flashback" a few seconds (three rounds) to Zharis' first arrival. The first round of Initiative, she'll be on her own. Tulgram will arrive in Round 2, and Jin will arrive in Round 3. Watching remotely, Xylian and Hani can choose what they'd like to do when we get to Round 4.
Jin Will Save: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 4 = 24
GM Jhaeman
As her jump jets carry her down the tunnel at startling speed, Zharis realises she's hurtling toward a massive creature composed of churning protoplasm!
Initiative (Round 1)
Fire Monster
Zharis
Bold should go!
The map has been updated. The creature is Huge size. Please remember that the map has 10' squares (so this creature takes up 1.5 squares and all of you except Xylian take up 1/2 a square).
Initiative (Zharis): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Fire Monster): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Tulgram Coldforge
Cool. Well... warm, but steel cool.
Zharis
Zharis yawns. Another fire monster.
Ah, but it does strike her interest for just a moment in one way. The floors in this room would probably be a little warmer.
She doesn't know why in the nine lives this place doesn't have any seating, but at least there is a warm floor.
She curls up to take a nap.
If it was a backhand and it actually touched her armor, then it should do 1d6 Electricity damage because of the Electrostatic Field, although not sure if fire monsters take electricity damage. Here is a roll in case they do:
Electricity Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
The singeing of her fur barely registers... she is finally warm, and she doesn't want to do anything to change that. Plus, she's tired. It's a good day to nap. She studiously ignores anything trying to distract her from that.
GM Jhaeman
Suddenly Tulgram emerges from the mirrored corridor to see the enormous fire monster looming over a softly snoring Zharis! The monster kicks out toward the duergar with a lumbering sweep of its leg!
Tulgram arrives at the beginning of this round, loses initiative, and is promptly attacked. Result: Tulgram, you get hit for 27 B&F.
@Zharis: Thanks, the electrostatic field did seem to hurt the creature. (you'll probably have to keep reminding me, as I'm not great at remembering the passive defenses of PCs, but every bit can make a difference in these tough fights).
Initiative (Tulgram): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Slam vs Tulgram: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36
damage: 2d10 + 15 ⇒ (10, 2) + 15 = 27
Zharis
1 person marked this as a favorite.
Zharis slits open her eyes for a moment, trying to figure out what the fire creature is...
Mysticism: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
But then closes them again, pretending she wasn't curious in the first place, and again studiously ignoring everything but trying to nap.
Tulgram Coldforge
Droscar's unholy crap!!
Two questions. 1. Does my resist fire works here? 2. Does this work here:
Toxic Skin (Ex): You have handled so many toxins that they’ve accumulated in your skin. Any creature that hits you with a natural attack must succeed at a Fortitude save or gain the sickened condition for 1 minute.
Tulgram wants to say a lot of humiliating and insulting things about the fact that such fiery creatures have been working in the forges of the duergar people for thousands of years and even much greater elementals than this one are nothing more than cogs in great dark machines... But why waste time? We need to understand what it is... and beat it.
Move: Physical Science Mysticism - 40
Merciful Capture Pole: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 311d8 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23 (piercing vs KAC; lethal dmg)
And immediately he strikes, injecting a cooling inhibitor.
Thermoregulation Inhibitor [9 rounds]: You impair a creature’s ability to regulate body temperature... If the target takes cold damage, it must succeed at a Fortitude save or gain a special version of the burning condition that deals 1d6 cold damage per turn, which can be ended automatically by taking fire damage; the target can’t roll on the ground to gain a new saving throw, but instead it can wrap itself in insulating material and shiver as a full action to attempt a new saving throw with a +4 bonus. The damage per turn increases by 1d6 for every 6 biohacker levels you have.
GM Jhaeman
Tulgram keeps his cool despite the heat and manages to inject the flaming monster with an inhibitor!
Tulgram's attack hit, though some of the damage was absorbed by DR. The creature is now under the effect of an inhibitor which will activate if it takes any cold damage.
@Tulgram: Yes, half of the damage this creature inflicts is fire typed, and any fire resistance/immunity will apply to it (the other half of the damage it inflicts is bludgeoning, in case someone has DR).
GM Jhaeman
Suddenly a new target emerges as Jin emerges from the mirrored hallway! The fire monster promptly lashes out at the team's Security Specalist with a newly-created tale of churning plasma, but the kanabo is too fast!
Attack vs Jin misses with a nat 1 (and good thing too, because I rolled max damage!).
Initiative (Jin): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Slam vs Jin: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23
damage: 2d10 + 15 ⇒ (8, 8) + 15 = 31
Zharis
Zharis remembers that her camera is still set to following her, and she quickly corrects that, telling it to get some action shots, although she then lapses into wondering why she cared about anything but napping. It was nice and warm here, and she hadn't been properly warm for a while. She dozes off.

Jin carefully steps over Zharis, and attacks the elemental:
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17

Initiative (Round 4)
Fire Monster (cold inhibitor)
Hani*
Xylian*
Zharis (prone)
Jin
Tulgram
Bold should go!
*Hani and Xylian, you can see what's happening because the drone is transmitting video, but you're still at the beginning of the corridor. If you want to join the others by moving down the corridor, you can attempt a Will save with a +4 bonus vs DC 18 (otherwise you teleport back to the beginning).
The creature is Huge size. Please remember that the map has 10' squares (so this creature takes up 1.5 squares and all of you except Xylian take up 1/2 a square).

I'm Tulgram Coldforge and you're messing with the wrong duergar guy. Wincing from the blow, grey dwarf does not lose his self-confidence. It's been hotter in the forge. And ye know what? We always knew how to cool down when it got too hot. With these words, duergar opens his mouth wide, the protection system of his armor opens just for a moment, just so that he can release a stream of ice storm directly from his mouth!
Dragon Gland: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2) = 11 DC16 Ref for half
Since it will take cold damage anyway, then DC 20 Fort or 2d6 cold burning per round.
Beat it with bloody blasted cold! It's vulnerable!, Tulgram adds for everyone when the protection system closes back.
GM Jhaeman
As Xylian suddenly arrives on scene, Tulgram's exhalation of frost washes over the fire monster! Layers of ice and snow threaten to tamp down the creature's heat!
Xylian makes the save to proceed down the corridor.
The creature makes the Reflex save for half damage from the dragon gland, but is vulnerable to cold so takes 50% more of that half damage. It fails the Fortitude save and now has the "Burning" 2d6 C condition (which will apply at the beginning of its turn).
Hani and Jin are up.
Reflex save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Fortitude save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

I feel satisfied and moderately useful .)
Jin Goei
Jin full attacks, uselessly:
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 13 - 4 = 17
Electricity damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (1, 1) + 14 = 16
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 13 - 4 = 13
Electricity damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (5, 3) + 14 = 22
GM Jhaeman
As Jin fruitlessly tries to find a weak point in the fire monster's defenses, Hani tries to follow Xylian into the hallway! The result is successful, but it opens the telia up to a sudden attack by the creature!
Botting Hani as attempting to move down the mirrored corridor. Result: Success!
At the beginning of its turn, the fire monster takes 3 damage (minimum roll, sorry Tulgram!) from the cold burning.
The fire monster then attacks Hani, who will get soft cover from the reach attack. Result: The attack hits. Hani, you take 23 B&F.
Hani Will save (observation bonus): 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 4 = 22
Slam vs Hani w/ cover: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (12) + 22 = 34
damage: 2d10 + 15 ⇒ (5, 3) + 15 = 23
cold burning damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Zharis
Zharis slits open her eyes, stretches, sees that her allies have it well in hand (at least as measured against the effort of moving and leaving the warm floor), and resumes her nap.
Tulgram Coldforge
Merciful Capture Pole: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 171d8 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
*puffing, hitting, missing*
Xylian Xuuvats
Xylian levels his cannon over the heads of the smoller party members and lets off an icy blast.
Move action to target. Standard action to overcharge and shoot.
Attack vs KAC (Ignores 4 points for cover; Coordinated Shot): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
P + C Damage: 2d8 + 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 2) + (1, 1) + 8 = 18
GM Jhaeman
Blazing fire turns to sizzling steam as Xylian's icy blast connects! Meanwhile, Hani bravely dashes to the far side of the monster to keep it off-balance!
Xylian's attack hit. The piercing half of the damage doesn't get through DR, but the cold half of the damage is increased by 50%
Hani's player has asked for a few days' botting. Having Hani do Total Defense and then a move action to get around the back of the creature to give Jin flanking. The movement provokes an AoO which hits for (ouch!) 30 damage.
Jin is up.
Slam vs Hani KAC w/ total defence: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (8) + 22 = 30

Jin keeps attacking:
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 13 - 4 = 12
Electricity damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (4, 7) + 14 = 25
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 13 - 4 = 13
Electricity damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (8, 3) + 14 = 25
This is just absurd, not even going back to single attacks would do the trick
GM Jhaeman
Composed of solar flames, the massive elemental forms its body into a cascade of churning plasma straight for Jin!
Both of Jin's attacks missed. (don't forget about the flanking for next round).
At the beginning of its term the creature takes 3 damage from the cold burning (dicebot doesn't like inhibitors, apparently). It then attacks Jin. Result: Attack hits. Jin, you take 26 B&F. (your fire resistance will apply)
burn: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Slam vs Jin: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25
damage: 2d8 + 15 ⇒ (7, 4) + 15 = 26

Jin attacks:
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 13 - 4 + 2 = 22
Electricity damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (6, 7) + 14 = 27
Aurora Storm Doshko vs. EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 13 - 4 + 2 = 20
Electricity damage: 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (2, 4) + 14 = 20
From low to mid, couple more rounds and I'll get some good results
