No worries, GM. I've done the PbP thing long enough to know that it's good to resolve little inconsistencies like this early before confusion spirals out of control.

And, yeah, I can relate to how the PbP play illustrates when someone has been doing things a non-standard way for a long time.

ooo, take that back, it was 10 but still, no big deal. Had the fight continued, I would have whined... a lot.

Oh well there is the confusion. I saw the attack and went straight to the end and it said 10. There was nothing saying that there was a different calculation. Moving forward, I would just do each roll on a different line so it is clear. Or do it how Esgean has hers stacked up where it is bold and you can clearly see what each thing is.

Hey all! Sorry for my absence. This week has been crazy. My mom had another round of chemo, which was expected. My dad was in the hospital again and had to have a heart catheter done which turned out all clear. So there are still unknowns with my dad and his health. Also this week there was a drive by shooting at our junior high, they were using orbeez guns which are little water pellets. So there was fall out from that I was handling with my students and their parents.

All of this to say that I'm sorry I haven't said anything until now.

Let's rally the troops and I will make a post tomorrow to continue our journey. If anyone doesn't respond on here today/tomorrow let's try reaching out to them.

They took into custody the three people who did it. 18, 18, 21.... Needless to say they are going to learn a hard lesson that is probably going to have like long ramifications. Each being tried as an adult and each of them are in custody with each having a million dollar bond... they are going to sit and think a while about life until the trial.

I have tried reaching out to Herskor & Aldmus again. I don't know if they will respond or not, it looks as if they haven't posted with their other profiles since they posted last with us.

I will be moving forward botting them.

With this moving into a home-brew after this adventure I think that a Druid, Paladin, Cleric, Rogue would be a good round party if they happen to not return. If you guys are okay with that, please let me know.

I'm fine with a four person party if they don't return. This dungeon is illustrating that things can feel pretty cramped, and four players may alleviate that.

I'm concerned that we already don't have enough front line fighters. Without Herskor we're down to only Felix and that puts one of us in the position of secondary melee character. I'm hesitating because I really don't want to get into melee with this thing. Would you go ahead and move Herskor through the line to engage?

@Kevan No need for the acrobatics. If you have any kind of cover you do not provoke an AoO. So you are good to move into position and flank that zombie.

Under the cover rules it says:

Cover and Attacks of Opportunity
You can’t execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with cover relative to you.

Both of you have cover against each other so neither can execute an AoO.

@Kevan can move through its square, it just draws an AoO without a successful Tumble/Acrobatics check. Unfortunately, Kevan failed and will draw the AoO. Based on the description of what he would do, I moved the token to the other side. If that isn’t the case feel free to move Kevan back that was my misunderstanding.

@everyone In the current chamber the grey/green areas are the walkways. The dark grey areas are vertical burial plots for this tomb. Think tall bookshelves, but for bodies… So you cannot see past them.

@Jhessa would no be able to back up and fire. She could stay up close and fire, zombie would have cover but since she also has cover it would not provoke an AoO, that it has already expended on Kevan.

I am flipping out about these dice rolls. Felix' last three rolls were all attack rolls for this fight, and were 2, 4, and 3. He had a perception check before that, which was a 1.

I'm due for a 5, next. Maybe a 6!

Actually the round after Felix went down he was stabilized by Jhessa. So no HP loss from rounds. I have Felix at -13 from max, so -1 is current.

Once a day posting is fine, but would it be worth it to you if Herskor and Aldmus gained Temporary Zombie Rot™ and had to be cared for by Roldare until the adventure is over or the players return?

I mean I don't mind having them go camp with Roldare. Botting them isn't the issue, it's just 2 list players helping keep the train going. Botting them allows the party to have 2 more rolls on a check if needed or help in combats that could use the extra hand.

That being said, if all of you would want them to go away I have no issues with that. I run them secondary to what you all want to do unless you ask them to do/check something.

If you don't mind botting them, I certainly don't mind. As you say, it helps with combat and other checks. It's jus that it seems like you said above that you having to bot 2 characters makes things more taxing for you, and I was only addressing that.
