BACKGROUND
Felix Riffin grew up a tall, strong lad. He is well-liked by the people in town, but he never showed any aptitude for a particular skill. What's more, it seemed that he was too intractable towards his own way of doing things for any apprenticeships to be successful. Whether he trained as a woodcutter, a blacksmith under Braggar Ironhame, or a farmhand in the fields outside of Kassen, his time with those trades ended when the tradesmen became too frustrated at Felix's amiable "right" way of doing thing. (Frustration is not strong enough to describe what Braggar Ironhame felt, but the boy and the dwarf eventually settled their differences and are friendly to each other.)
Felix's mother's uncle is Guard Captain Gregor Wisslo, so Felix tried his hand at the warrior's life. This seemed promising, at first, as Felix finally displayed an aptitude with the rigid discipline needed to handle a weapon. However, familiar patterns returned when Uncle Gregor and Felix butted heads over the finer points of protecting Kassen.
Felix's saving grace came when he met Sir Dramott. The knight took Felix under his wing, teaching him how to better get along with people without having to compromise his ideals. Further, the boy was enraptured with Sir Dramott's tales of Lastwall and the honor of that nation's cause. (In truth, Felix was more enraptured with the idea of a code of honor rather than Sir Dramott's particular ideals. Since he's never met an orc or any sort of undead, he might be highly susceptible to a new cause or quest that comes along, especially if it seems like it might take him away from Kassem and all of the life paths that didn't work out for him.)
Description:
Felix is well built and carries himself with perhaps a touch more confidence that he warrants. He keeps his light brown hair long, his face clean shaven, and he has an easy smile for most people he meets. He is always ready to try new things, an attitude that fits well with his recent dedication to aid in the fight against evil.
