Aiden blink as Vanessa strokes his earlobe as he is examining the steps. He growls, "You're not the Paracountess, but it seems you're trying to study from her book. I expect your touch to enhance everything ."
He turns to her. "Remind me to demonstrate my manacles later..."

Peering around the room Aiden identifies two sets of traps here. The first are arrow traps identical to those found in the previous room, however these do not seem to be empty. Secondly there is a trap which fires a large grappling bolt.
As you begin to peruse the documents on the desks they crumble away, all except two scrolls. One is a scroll of zone of truth and calm emotions and teh second is a scroll of discern lies.

"Everyone stop!" Aiden exhales very slowly. "There's more traps here. More than one." He glances at Vanessa and nods to her. After she caresses him once more, he shivers and then gets to work disabling the traps.
I assume Vanessa can give him guidance for both checks.

"Zarta and I are old friends (and no, I'm not telling you how old - a lady never tells her age), but she recruited me to zhe Society, and ve attend many of zhe tsame ... pahties," she finishes with a seductive smile.
Vanessa glances at Spica before continuing. "It's not zhe manacles zhat make zhe fun, but zhey do help. Zhe kvuestion iz, do you know vhat to do vonce she's at your mercy?" As she asks this, she squeezes Spica's arm then obligingly calls on the spirits of shadow and darkness (with a whisper to Zon-Kuthon for good measure) to guide Aiden's hand.

Spica just has to grin back. Actually .... to be honest .... it's usually me that's .... erm ...... at someone else's mercy
She paused for a bit.
Don't think I've ever attended one of her parties either but if I did, I'd probably be the one locked inside a water filled aquarium as a dynamic display - and to be honest, I'd be happy with that.

Aiden begins to work on the first trap, the one with arrows. He feels that he is almost there before something slips and he fails to disarm it. However it does not go off.
He has better luck with the second trap and hears a satisfying click as the mechanism disengages and is made safe.

Tabar manages to disable the trap that Aiden had almost cracked himself.
Looking around this room the items here seem to have aged as you would expect. You see nothing more than the scrolls found earlier on the crumbling desk.

Lady Vanessa releases Spica's arm, brushing her silk-gloved fingertips down the undine's forearm as she does. She climbs the few steps to the desk and picks up the scrolls, daintily blowing as much of the dust off as she can before handling them.
"Hmmm, vell, I can cast zhese, but I'm not sure how much use zhey'll be. I vonder vhy zhey even had zhese here? Two spells ensuring truthfulness and vun to calm emotions. Almost vhat I vould expect in an interrogation room."
"Zhough not in any interrogation room back in Nidal, of course," she says with a laugh and a wink to Spica.
She drops the scrolls into her voluminous handbag and sashays out of the room, following Tabar to the next door as if she'd just finished shopping.
Looks like Lady V is the only one that can cast any of those 3, AFAI can tell. So she'll take them. Moved her up to join Tabar, though not sure if they actually have gotten that far.

Aiden nods and follows the others out of the room. He begins looking for the next series of traps as they go.

Aiden or Claudia could UMD the scrolls if needed. But take them for now as it makes sense for you to hold them.

Yep, that’s fine with me.
Dumm tests the durability of the desk as they leave, lifting it at one corner. The desk simply gives way, leaving him with a jagged corner of rotten wood in his hand. He drops it with an embarrassed chuckle. ”Nobody can uses desk.”

Spica follows Vanessa, a bit relieved that she is no longer talking about Zarta's parties. The images rolling through her mind were ..... rather strange. The remark about the interrogation room also went right over her head.

Moving further into the structure you move through this room and around to your right to find another chamber.
A few broken chairs complete with moldering cushions line the outer walls of this circular room. Four sconces sit lonely and empty around the room’s perimeter. To the west, a short passage leads to another circular room. The floors of both rooms are unbroken but etched with a geometric pattern that sharply contrasts with the flagstones to the east.
Halting you at the entrance to allow for any checks, questions etc.

Moving further into the structure you move through this room and around to your right to find another chamber.

Dumm sniffs and looks for any signs of recent passage by other people or creatures.

Tabar looks carefully at the room and does not see any traps within the structural elements of the room. Dumm does not detect recent passage of other creature be they 2, 4 or more legged. He does however detect some kind of strange trap in the center of the room, although he cannot identify what type of trap it may be.
Aiden traces a finger over the designs and contemplates. These do not match any knows arcane symbols. They are however pleasant to look at.
I have opened up the rest of the map. I had a problem in that I could not remove the T from this map so I was reluctant to reveal it until the trap was triggered or found.

"Is trap there, yes?" Dumm points at the center of the room. "Dumm knows less for traps than Tabar, so maybe Tabar sees trap already."

Spica likewise studies the geometric patterns as she copies them into her journal. She does not recognize these patterns either.

Aiden goes over to where Dumm has found the trap. "Good work. Not so Dumm after all." He snorts and then gets to work trying to disarm the trap.

Sorry, I've been here, just didn't have anything to add.
Lady Vanessa hangs back to let the experts do their thing at the mention of traps. She leans closely over Spica's shoulder as the oh-so-young wizard copies the symbols into her little notebook.
"You tsay zhey're not ahcane symbols. I vonder if zhey have any religious meaning," she considers aloud, her breath carrying the words softly across Spica's right ear.

Aiden pulls his picks out and begins to work on the trap. He spends some time at it, but cannot seem to quite disarm it. You can retry if you like. You did not fail by more than 4
Lady Vanessa examines the geometric patterns but they do not seem religious either. You'll laugh when you find out what this is

Nah, we can go with the retcon.
Aiden, with the help of his friends, manages to disable the trap. It would appear to be a complex pit trap.

Lady Vanessa moves into the circular room as if she owns the place. She looks around, sighs, and starts to turn back to the door.

"Yes, Aiden. And so many traps. Seems unusual, doesn't it? But zhis is a dead-end, so now vhat?"

Secret door? Spica offered. Maybe one of those pit traps opens up to an underwater passage or something. That'll be cool.

You move forward and look around.
A three-foot-diameter iron wheel mounted horizontally on a short stone pedestal is the only feature in this large, circular room. Spaced evenly around the pedestal are six hexagonal keyholes, each a slightly different size, and keys protrude from four of these.
Looking at this new room Spica notices a small gap in the floor around the entire perimeter of the room. This is an elevator.
On a side note. Those geometric patterns you were studying so hard were pretty pictures to look at while one waited for this elevator.

Aiden inspect the various keyholes, pulling a couple out and then replacing them after inspection. "We appear to be missing two. I don't know if that means it won't work or if perhaps we can't access all the areas." He inspects the machinery for any further traps on the elevator.

Lady Vanessa walks slowly around the strange room as everyone examines the pedestal and keys. She specifically looks for any markings or numbers on or near the keyholes.
Are there any markings near the keyholes to indicate floors? Cause of course she's gonna want to check out the Women's Clothing, Shoes, and Lingerie floor ;)
"If zhis whole room is a lifting tsing, zhen I suspect zhese control vich floors vee can go to." She runs her fingers across the horizontal iron wheel.
If there are no markings, she points to the smallest key thinking that maybe they go in size order. "Aiden, try turning zhis von, and Dumm, vould you be a dear and work zhe big vheel?"
