Vast wealth tends to allow one to ignore the suspicion of taking a foreign wife, and such rumors dispelled even faster when she died from sickness just a few years later. The twin children, Tommasu and Terina found their father to be quite distant and sad about the death of their mother, and found solace in each other, as well as in the servants that took care of them and were charming enough to make friends among others in the city. Little did they know their heritage would bloom years later.
Lorenzo remarried when the twins turned ten, and when they were twelve, they got a new brother. Their father’s new bride and her influential family wanted the youngest to inherit the wealth, and political games abounded for several years, and when they both turned fifteen their father, who had come down with a mysterious illness, brought the children of his youth to hear what may have been his final words to them.
“When I was your age, I with a mind to business engaged in a venture which made me immensely wealthy, and with that had brought to me burdens of which I was not prepared. I lost, we lost your mother and things have not been the same between us since, but in these last years I have prepared you several paths.
“The first is the one I took. A trip to the foreign land, with my travel journal. Everything you will need to bring back your own wealth, impervious to the schemes of your step-mother.
"The other is the Academy, you will have everything there to learn what you need to overcome the schemes of this city and live much more comfortably than I could. You'll be able to build friendships that will also serve you well, and you can make a more comfortable place to come back. You have the benefit of being able to band together, but in order to do that you must be strong apart from each other as well.”
After a brief discussion, and a prolonged hug, the twins left their father, Tommasu to the Acadamy, and Terina to the sea.
Tommasu is a monk, but I have some secrets, and the crunch will be mailed to GM. I will make an alias if chosen.

A six foot tall lanky youth with sandy blonde hair with platinum highlights that sticks straight up off of his head, and gives a soft fluffy look to the top of his head. He has clear blue eyes that seem to pierce the hearts of many who gaze upon him. Three or four pieces of blonde stubble are visible on his chin, which gives an angular look to his face.
Outside of a conversation, he often carries a far away look in his eyes. But when he engages, he has an intense stare that stabs at the heart of those who would find him attractive, and he remains very attentive to any person, servant or lord.
