Laiashi is relieved to be able to move again.

Philthy swings away missing then connecting to finish the creature. It crumbles to dust as Philthy's ax slashes into it.

There is an eerie silence from down the hall. Then a faint shuffling can be heard. Are the other two creatures advancing?

Toral fortune hexes himself and then moves forward.

Fortune (Su)
Effect: The witch can grant a creature within 30 feet a bit of good luck for 1 round. The target can call upon this good luck once per round, allowing him to reroll any ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, taking the better result. He must decide to use this ability before the first roll is made. At 8th level and 16th level, the duration of this hex is extended by 1 round. Once a creature has benefited from the fortune hex, it cannot benefit from it again for 24 hours.

Alright, I applaud Philthy for his bravery and thank him for moving the game forward, but I have to attack with the monsters as set up. As Philthy moves from the hall into the room, both readied actions of the mummies go off. Then, as philthy moves from between them further into the room, he does not successful beat their CMD to avoid the AO. My apologies. Hopefully I roll bad.

red mummy's readied slam on Philthy w/ PA: 1d20 + 16 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 16 + 2 - 3 = 21
slam dmg B: 1d8 + 12 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 12 + 9 = 27
yellow mummy's slam w/ PA: 1d20 + 16 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (8) + 16 + 2 - 3 = 23
dmg B: 1d8 + 12 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 12 + 9 = 27

Then AO's
Red AO: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30; dmg B: 1d8 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23
Yellow AO: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27; dmg B: 1d8 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22

Philthy avoids the initial onslaught, but as he ducks to avoid the parting blows he catches both uppercuts.

I would have awarded a hero point if they were allowed for that very bold move. I am wondering if because almost Philthy's entire turn went before the mummies readied action if Philthy should also go before the mummies. Not sure, but rules as written are before the triggering action.

Ha ha, totally agree! :-) Love this group!

“We can be lucky to have survived!! But this group is obviously blessed by the gods!!“

As the group takes stock in the tomb surroundings, the treasure of the merchant prince comes into light. Upon examining the dais and the items and its treasure, you see several contains full of gold coin, gems and jewelry totaling approximately 3000 gold and with a quick "detect magic" casting and a little bit of magical skill, you find/identify a rod of the python, a silent lesser metamagic rod, a pair of slippers of spider climb, a container with dust of illusion in it, and a golembane scarab.

You heal up (to include removal of the curse still affecting Walla by Toral) and pack up the treasure horde from the last room and those items of value from the bandits. You respectfully wrap and pack the bones of the dwarf and the human sorcerer and the body of Jilarni Golgarna for transport back to Sothis as directed once you all contact Captain Norden Balentiir. You all make any last minute notes and rubbing for your journals. The 9 camels are well equipment with food and water for your trip back.

You have little trouble back tracking to the old spice route traveled to get here with your original caravan. You pass the now almost completely buried corpses of the giant scorpions you killed while doing so. Most have been scavenged or worse.

You have an uneventful 4 days back on the ancient spice trail, a route which took you almost two weeks to traverse while in the caravan. Captain Balentiir meets you at the gates as you arrive back. He quickly goes over your story and your treasure haul. The agents of the Ruby Prince arrive to settle the account and you all are quickly compensated for the loot. Captain Balentiir takes charge of the remains of the unfortunate pathfinders and sees to their burial and last wishes. Later he invites you all to dine in the lodge with him to further discuss your trip. You all pass your poison and flower extracts to your contact in the exchange. All is good in the world. Your are well, well paid, and well feed and can now take a well desired break ... at least until the money runs out.

Any questions or curiousness about anything in the adventure? As usual, there is a lot going on behind the screens. I should have the chronicles ready by tomorrow. I will put a link in the discussion. Thank you all for playing. I really enjoyed this scenario from first reading it to finishing the last sword trust. I hope you all did too.

Wow! Great wrap up!! :-) What’s the story with the other pathfinder group?

Toral thanks the VC and will especially try to learn more about his fellow dwarven exchange companion!!

“This Philthy is clearly special!! Never saw someone hit so hard after casting haste like a wizard! Ahh great team with Laiashi and Walla in total … but the fox is strange to be honest!” he thinks.

The other pathfinder group was ambushed by the thugs you all killed in the chamber with the 4th scepter. During the fight, the Sorcerer used mage hand to bring to him the lightest scepter, Elea's sandalwood one. This of course allowed the double doors to slam shut sealing the fight away. The Bandits however won and killed most of the pathfinders, but the leader, Jilarni and burned the bodies in the fire pit bisecting the room. They also burned the 2 dead bandits as well, thus the extra bones in the pit. The bandits were just biding their time until another group happened along. They would bargain their way out and either fight or pretend to leave and ambush that group on the way out. Not very nice people, were they?

Chronicle link is in the discussion thread if you all are interested. let me know if there is something I need to correct.
