Fly Free or Die is the story of a crew of scoundrels, rogues, and misfits trying to survive in a galaxy where everyone has a price. This isn’t an Adventure Path about saving the galaxy; the heroes of Fly Free or Die work for a living. Honestly, they’d never call themselves heroes, and their
integrity is constantly tested. This is the story of a starship crew that goes from rags to riches... but then to ruin and revenge.

As you gentlemen begin to complete your characters in Paizo, feel free to begin talking to one another here.
All of you are members of the crew of BD514, a light freighter travelling to the lush world of Castrovel. Tarika, your E-J handler has arranged for you to pick up and transport a shipment of Yaro berries, a tangy fruit that grows only on the banks of the river Yaro. Considered a delicacy on other worlds, you have a job transport 50 tons to a Hivemarket on Akiton.
You will need to deliver the cargo within 6 days or the fruit will spoil.
We will begin with BD514 landing on Castrovel after you've had a moment to introduce yourselves.

The adventure begins on the lush world of Castrovel, where the PCs must pick up a shipment of Yaro berries, a tangy fruit that grows only on the banks of the Yaro River. This seasonal, sizable purple berry is relatively commonplace in the markets of Qabarat, but it’s considered a delicacy on other worlds. Tarika asks the PCs to pick up 50 tons of Yaro berries from a local establishment called Prat’s Produce and transport them to Hivemarket on Akiton—where such a delicacy can go for 10 credits a bowl. The PCs must deliver the fruit before it spoils, in 6 days. If the PCs manage to shave a day or two off the trip, Tarika assures them that they’ll likely earn a bonus. From Tarika’s perspective, this should be a routine job.

Okay when rolling dice, you can create a macro sheet or the rolls you would make frequently. or you can type all the rolls in as you go.
The basic format looks like this
To do it, use
(dice)xdy + z(/dice)
Replace the () with [], and replace x, y and z to taste.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 41d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 This is a dice expression.
You can look in the how to format your text below to see the common macros.

Rain pours down on the small freighter, BD514, over dark ocean toward the city of Qabarat, which grows rapidly on the horizon. Though known as the Jewel of the Western Sea, little of the city sparkles in this weather. Qabarat lines the mouth of the Yaro River, which stretches past the city, into the foothills of the Stormshield Mountains beyond. Navigation beacons and the city’s traffic control AI direct BD514 to a landing pad at Ship’s End, the city’s bustling starport.

As Quig successfully hops and down jingling his grenades as he looks out the window, he sees a rain swept ocean pouring down the porthole. A large sea serpent explodes from the surf and tries to grab a snack before it plunges back into the ocean. As you land in the spaceport of Qabarat, customs officials come out to greet you and check your purpose on such an ugly evening. Having dispensed with the customs officials, you back the company rig output of the cargo hold and hitch the trailer to transport your Yaro fruit from the shop to your ship.

I sent an email with the specs regarding the Rig and the hover craft you guys will using for this first section
As you guys navigate around to Prat's Produce using the rig, you arrive without incident.
The inside of the grocery exudes a cleanliness that is minimalistic, but not sterile. Rows of shelves and friendly aisle displays present a wide variety of well-organized foodstuffs for purchase. Dozens of people—mostly lashuntas—go about their daily errands, selecting food and making (sometimes telepathic) conversation. Small, bright screens scattered about the store use flashy ads to announce the day’s best deals and upcoming specials. To the right of the entrance, automated check-out lines supervised by a middle-aged lashunta woman, tally up customer purchases.

OOC: I think Staban should have to make a Will save against my crit Mysticism roll to avoid being converted.
"Welcome to the flock, Staban. The Great Herder is a benevolent deity and accepting of all those who chew the cud. Which brings me to a topic of some concern: you are going to need to alter your diet a bit."
Staban
|
[OOC - I'd agree you're mystical and Staban would probably as well but I don't think Mysticism works as a conversion skill. I'll defer to the GM if a roll is required]
Staban approaches the check-out supervisor and says "We're here to pick up the yaro berries for shipment. Who do we need to talk to?"

Needa Prat looks at the group and motions for them to follow her to the Back office.
Runo, the couriers from EJ are here.
An older, stocky lashunta wearing blue coveralls sits behind a wooden desk covered in papers. He taps furiously on a datapad while grumbling to himself. His most notable feature is a missing left antenna and a thin scar that begins at his forehead and zigzags back along his scalp. He looks up, tosses the tablet aside in disgust, and asks in a polite but agitated voice, “What can I do for you?”
He then follows up with Needa. Needa, can you call IT again, this stupid computer still isn't working right.
| Lebris |
“It was working fine for inventory last night, but now it’s a mess. I need to file the change of ownership paperwork, but I can’t get the damn thing to work!” He gestures helplessly at the tablet on the desk.

In all the hubub, I forgot to introduce myself.
Staban is an android serving as ship's pilot when in space and as the driver when on planet. Sometimes a bit stand-offish, but that's part of how he had to survive. Doesn't go for idle chit-chat that much, Staban can sometimes be found sitting in a darkened ship's cockpit, staring into the void of space. Other times, he will be on the periphery of the crew area, not necessarily participating, but just being around others. While he hasn't shared much of his past, it's apparent he's spent time on space vessels before, though the conditions remain a bit murky, though it's clear he spent time working on rock-hopper shuttles and mining tugs, among other vessels, and probably in the Diaspora. He defers to Quig for engineering, but he's a capable hand with minor repairs and computers, which helps keep things running. Staban often unconsciously twirls tools or brushes a hand across one of his weapons while scanning an area - a habit which is hard to break for him. Strangely, he doesn't seem to enjoy mainstream cultures, but finds himself drawn to countercultures of various societies - and certainly drawn to ones suffering oppression of some sort.

Runo after dumping the computer on the table and says
“It’s good you’re here,” the old man says, “but you’d better hurry. There’s a lot to move, and those Yaro berries will spoil before too long. You’ve no idea how much this shipment means to me. I’m retiring after this. Thirty years running this place. Now it’s Needa’s turn. This shipment is my retirement plan, so please, be careful, okay?”
who's driving the rig?
Also, it'll take you guys about 16 hours to load the truck with the Yaro berries. Who is going to be doing what?

Quig has seen these algorithms and the firewall before. These are classic space goblins techniques. Do you wish to try and purge the hackers from the computer? If so, I’ll need a last computer check.
Using a 2nd hover art, the time for loading the Yaro berries is reduced to 8 hours.

*Staban to Quig over the comms* "Think you might be able to 'pep up' the hover carts sometime? Chances are they could use some work."
Staban, sitting in the rig, uses his computer to try and plot a speed course from Castrovel to Akiton, trying to shave some time off the journey.
