Rolling HP. Minimum Average HD +0.5

+2 ki points
+10 move speed (50 ft new total)
+6 hp (15 new max)

Lvl 6 Warlock Tarn Copperlocks HP (49/49) AoA (15/15) AC (19) Saves (5/2/4/0/2/5) Spells (1/2) Current Buffs ( AoA ) HD (5/5) Flight (3/3)

Average HD +0.5? So with a d8 HP class is that +4 or +5 HP? It's the +0.5 which confuses me.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
* Saltmarsh *

Average of 1d8 is 4.5. Plus 0.5 = 5 HP standard

High Elf |Wizard 5th|CG|HP:30/35HD:6d6+2|AC:13/16(MA16/19)|Init:+3|S-1 D+3 C+2 I+6 W+3 Ch+0|SpAtt+6 DC14|BladeSong 3/3|1st-3/4 2nd-3/3-3rd-3/3

Hit points: 1d6 ⇒ 2

High Elf |Wizard 5th|CG|HP:30/35HD:6d6+2|AC:13/16(MA16/19)|Init:+3|S-1 D+3 C+2 I+6 W+3 Ch+0|SpAtt+6 DC14|BladeSong 3/3|1st-3/4 2nd-3/3-3rd-3/3

I would prefer Miminum Standard so I get 4 hp +2 con for 6 new HP

It is. Sum of 1 and 6 = 7. Then half of that is 3.5 average.

Then add 0.5 for 4 hp + con mod.

High Elf |Wizard 5th|CG|HP:30/35HD:6d6+2|AC:13/16(MA16/19)|Init:+3|S-1 D+3 C+2 I+6 W+3 Ch+0|SpAtt+6 DC14|BladeSong 3/3|1st-3/4 2nd-3/3-3rd-3/3

So with the Minimum Standard HP I would get +4 hp[+6 with Con, and 14 total hp]

Bladesinging:
-Gain Proficiency in one Melee weapon: Scimitar

-Proficiency in Performance

Level 2 cleric now.
Channel Divinity.
Divine Domain Feature. Knowledge of the Ages.
+1 first level spell slot. Thank god, I need that to keep you guys rolling!

I'll give Argyri another day.

Don't forget to plan. I can push to next day.

I would appreciate if someone would account the loot.

After spending 100 gp for a pearl tomorrow, you'll discover that

Pipe of Remembrance:

Wondrous item, common

This long, delicate wooden pipe features a bowl made from smooth river stone. When the pipe is lit, smoke exhaled from it does not dissipate, instead lingering around the bearer. After 10 minutes, the smoke forms moving shapes that reenact the bearer's most impressive and heroic achievements for 5 minutes. When this realistic performance is complete, the smoke dissipates. The pipe can't be used this way again until the next dawn.

Mariner's Scale Mail:

Medium armor, uncommon
Minor tier
45 lb. AC 14 + Dex (max 2)

While wearing this armor, you have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, whenever you start your turn underwater with 0 hit points, the armor causes you to rise 60 feet toward the surface. The armor is decorated with fish and shell motifs.

This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.

The wearer has disadvantage on Dexterity (Stalth) checks.

Hey, so sorry! This week really kicked my butt. I'll post today!

Just realized that comprehend languages (a ritual spell) works on written languages. Changing eyes of the rune keeper to a new invocation.

Beast Speech
You can cast Speak with Animals at will, without expending a spell slot.

Let’s put that charisma and persuasion to use. Also because my son insisted, so I really can’t say no

High Elf |Wizard 5th|CG|HP:30/35HD:6d6+2|AC:13/16(MA16/19)|Init:+3|S-1 D+3 C+2 I+6 W+3 Ch+0|SpAtt+6 DC14|BladeSong 3/3|1st-3/4 2nd-3/3-3rd-3/3

Just don't talk to the fish or crustaceans I catch Tarn and we will be ok

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Tarn, one subtlety, not that it matters much is that comprehend languages requires you to touch the writing. Super rare of course to find a trap like that, and not worth changing back, just mentioning it. I've seen it in some published adventures.

I can run a spreadsheet for the loot calculations but not until later today.

Lvl 6 Warlock Tarn Copperlocks HP (49/49) AoA (15/15) AC (19) Saves (5/2/4/0/2/5) Spells (1/2) Current Buffs ( AoA ) HD (5/5) Flight (3/3)

@Blacklock: And if doesn’t require ritual casting. So it’s much more convenient…but as I looked through the invocations with my boyo and said he could pick the replacement, I’m now honor bound to it. :)

As for the magic items, who wants them? The pipe seems like something Blacklock would use.

——

Finally, I think we found plate armor. I don’t know if it is RAW, but could Tarn use the breastplate? And at Lvl4 he will get heavy armor proficiency, so he could then use the rest of it then? I think it would represent him learning how to properly don, wear and care for the armor over time.

Yes. You did. I would let you strip down to breastplate or half-plate. Both are medium armor.

Wonderful! Half plate it is! We can add my scale mail to the loot pile.

I think I have the loot all totaled, but not sure about price for Oilskin Coat or Rare Wine. Give me those and I can get the sum.

* Saltmarsh *

* fancy floor-length oilskin coat (5 gp)

Thanks for all the hard work. As you said in the spoiler, claiming the plate for Tarn, not the magic scale armor.

Throwing in the Longbow, the quiver and the longsword

Ah right, thanks. So I guess both of those are up for grabs or we could go through the pain of trying to sell a magic item.

I don't really need to buy anything, unless healing potions are available in town.

Ok, Dru is keeping oilskin coat and scimitar, not Longbow, quiver, and longsword. New per player total:

145.68 gp

High Elf |Wizard 5th|CG|HP:30/35HD:6d6+2|AC:13/16(MA16/19)|Init:+3|S-1 D+3 C+2 I+6 W+3 Ch+0|SpAtt+6 DC14|BladeSong 3/3|1st-3/4 2nd-3/3-3rd-3/3

Blacklock are you doing a party fund too?

The amount stated is what each player receives if we are doing equal shares.

I mean, I don't know what you mean about 'party fund'. XD

If none object, I will indeed take the pipe.

High Elf |Wizard 5th|CG|HP:30/35HD:6d6+2|AC:13/16(MA16/19)|Init:+3|S-1 D+3 C+2 I+6 W+3 Ch+0|SpAtt+6 DC14|BladeSong 3/3|1st-3/4 2nd-3/3-3rd-3/3

Basically giving the entire group a communal share. One to use to buy goods for the better meant of the group. Ie Lodgings, if we have a base later maintenance, Group potions etc.

Ah gotcha, well I don't need money at all so I'm willing to put my share in.

Blacklock, you should totally take the pipe...though Argyri may want to share it some day, once she has suitably epic exploits for it to illustrate.

HP: 1d8 ⇒ 3
HP 17
+ Cunning Action now.

I'll happily sell my leather, and buy some studded leather, with our earnings. Do we get 1/2 back on sold stuff? (If so, that's a net cost of 40 GP)

* Saltmarsh *

Need to double-check that you are selling the two other books found:
* A naval almanac listing tide times for the area of coast around Saltmarsh (a total of one hundred miles of coastline is covered)
* A treatise concerning the demigod Iuz and its minions

Blacklock confiscated the fully illustrated erotic poetry.

You also found an explorer's pack with the plate mail that I don't see on the list.

thanks

Ok, so with the 10 gp explorer's pack and assumption that 2 of 3 books are sold that makes the final per player amount 146.51 gp.

Id vote sell the dingy for a pearl then walk back and clear house.

Deal, I won't bogart it. :)

With the money, I have that should give me enough money to research 3 of the 1st level spells to add to my book.

Hi playas

I'm leaving for a short biz trip until Wednesday afternoon. I'll be able to answer most questions from my phone, but won't be able to do a big post.

Please RP what you want to do next

cheers

So far I need to put Charm Person, Color Spray and Silent Image in my book,

And Next level Have Scorching Ray and Magic Mouth as 2nd level spells

Yes I am getting a nice pool of spells.

* Saltmarsh *

So, we're sailing back? I'll get a post up tomorrow night

cheers

Kwin would like to sell his mace (2.5 gp), short bow (12.5 gp), leather armor (5 gp) and hunting trap (2.5 gp). In turn, he’ll buy studded leather armor (45 gp), holy water (25 gp), two potions of healing (100 gp), and three days of modest lifestyle (3 gp). Did Badger change his scale mail for the mariner armor?

I thought someone else had eyes for the mariner's armor but if not yes I will take it.

Sorry, no. The drip was a surprise. The slime on the three needs to neutralized before it damages every round.

Anyone who goes into that area can Dex save DC 10 to avoid getting slimed themselves.

Awesome!

In my head I pictured a blanket of green slime dropping from the ceiling on our friends and burning it would be sticking the torch right in front of us where the big green slime layer was over our friends.

I wasn't thinking its just dripping from a coat on the ceiling. That makes more sense. So yeah I'll need the boost. LOL

Heh, well you might be right and the whole thing dropped, but that seemed like fun anyways. :)

If I managed to stop the slime on myself, I can use sacred flame to try and clear it away.

* Saltmarsh *

OK. Please let me translate the game mechanics. Three characters have been slimed. Sunlight, any effect that cures disease, and any effect that deals cold, fire, or radiant damage destroys the slime. Or it must be scraped off; however, any nonmagical wood or metal weapon or tool used to scrape off the slime is effectively destroyed. Every round a character is slimed, they take 1d10 acid damage, so hurry.

To not get slimed, just avoid the area. It cannot move. It is not sentient. It is a hazard that can be avoided by going around.

Feel free to adjust your actions.

cheers
