Mine is there now, thanks. One more minor nit, she slotted Acquisitives for that part, but it's reported as Dataphiles.

Waiting to see if Teleemo successfully countered the spell. Staggered shuts Operatives down (can't trick attack), so I'd rather not roll the save if I don't have to.
=================================
On an unrelated note, I've really got to figure out a good way to use her Chronal Harness in PBP.
It says: "You can spend 1 Resolve Point to reroll your initiative check after seeing the result and use whichever of the two results is higher."
Of course, in PBP things happen between the GM rolling init and me getting to post. Especially in this situation: Boss battle, plenty or RP remaining, even though she rolled a 15 on the die-bot, I likely might have spent the 1 RP just to see if I could do better, and certainly if I'd known the Big Bad was gonna go first.
(Of course, I did kinda know we were getting close to another combat. So, yeah, I could have just reminded the GM that she has it and I'd like to use it either way.)
But beyond that, or for situations where we don't know that combat is imminent, does anyone have any suggestions on how to effectively use it without causing issues for the GM and the table?

@Mahari I would say it to GM: Hey when rolling my initiative whenever I roll lower then 12 I would use this roll again and take higher. The ability speaks only about your init, so it should not work like: I know that he rolled higher than me so I will use 1RP.
Imagine that you roll init always first and specify if you use the ability base on the value rolled.

It's a fair question, and yeah: PbP makes it a bit difficult. A 'if I roll under X value on the dice, I'd like to use it' helps a bit, but isn't foolproof as we see here. Another complicating factor is while you know your own roll - here it was a 15 - your still would not normally know if that's before or after the enemy(ies) until after you use the ability or not.
theoretically: 1d20 ⇒ 5
If any consolation, in this one combat then it would not have mattered (see above)
See ninja'd while posting this and in gameplay, but think for PbP Croaker said what I thought better. For presumed last/major fights like this, could also add "hey, I'd like to use this regardless just in case" if you want.

Upon initial exposure to a Poison effect, even on a successful save, you take HP damage equal to the DC-10 (poisons are a lot nastier in Starfinder)

@Jones228 / Kat6: When you make your Trick attack (aka Debilitating Trick), your roll should be +18+4 and you can Take 10. There's no reason to roll. You'll simply auto-succeed vs any CR <= 12. Here's the breakdown:
Trick Attack: As a full action, you can move up to your speed. Whether or not you moved, you can then make an attack with a melee weapon with the operative special property or with any small arm. Just before making your attack, attempt a Bluff, Intimidate, or Stealth check (or a check associated with your specialization; see below) with a DC equal to 20 + your target’s CR.
Iseph Kat6 also gets an extra +4 from the Ghost Specialization: "+4 to Stealth checks to make a trick attack."
I played at a table of Great Grav Train Robbery with Alex Spiedel. There were lots of errors on those pregen sheets. He said to run pregens as printed, because it's not our job, and certainly not appropriate for new players, to have to deconstruct and correct the official pregens.
==========
But wait, there's more. At 7th level, Operatives get Specialization Skill Mastery: You become so confident in certain skills that you can use them reliably even under adverse conditions. When attempting a skill check with a skill in which you have the Skill Focus feat, you can take 10 even if stress or distractions would normally prevent you from doing so.
In Kat's case, she has Skill Focus in Acrobatics AND Stealth, so she simply Takes 10 on those two skills, even in combat.
So, to review, when you Trick Attack using Stealth with Ghost Specialization and Specialization Skill Mastery, you get 10+18+4=32. The DC is the target's CR+20, so you'll always beat a CR of 12 or less.
FWIW, you can even just put "10" in the dice roller instead of "d20":
Trick Attack, Take 10, Stealth vs CR: 10 + 18 + 4 - 20 = 12
And lastly, you have the option to induce Flatt footed or Off Target, as you've been doing. But Iseph also has Interfering Shot: For your debilitating trick, you can prevent your target from using reactions until the end of your next turn.
Maybe not so useful here, but another option. I would suggest that Kat switch to doing Flat Footed if we get Dortay into melee. Then Mahari can use her alternate Debilitating Trick which will prevent Dortay from taking guarded steps to cast.

Thanks for much for the tips. I spent awhile pouring over the operative but obviously missed a few points. Tough to jump into a new class, especially at higher levels. I appreciate you helping me out.
I will switch to flat footed then!

Is there anything we need to do regarding the irradiated condition before we wrap up?
I wonder what tier next year's Rasheen's scenario will be? If they plan to keep releasing one of these every year, it will become very difficult for one character to do all of them. But it is a neat idea if so.

![]() |

I don't know for sure what they will do, but Pathfinder first edition had a similar series spread over a number of years, based in the Gloomspires and has scenarios spread over seasons 6, 7, 8 and 10.
6-06 Hall of the Flesh Eaters
7-19 The Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts
8-15 Hrethnar's Throne
10-17 On Sevenfingers's Sails
The last is considered the finale, but it is also a 7-11, which was as high as you could go in regular PFS.

I have a character finishing up that series right now.
He hates that place but I keep making him go back.

The conditions from the poisons will go away after some nights' rest. Had she continued to irradiate you and you suffer some further effects and caught the disease Radiation Sickness that might be a bit more complicated, but your level of exposure is fine and will clear on its own.
And I'm not sure how many more of these Rasheen missions are still to come. It's a decent framework/premise for an adventure a year, though I do hope they start including some more hints/foreshadowing as to the actual answer of where/what happened to Jelev.
In either case, thank you all for playing and sticking with me and each other through these missions! I'll try and get your chronicles made and up by tonight.

Thank you for running all the scenarios back to back. It give a nice flavor when the same party can play a group of connected scenarios together.
I am doing the same thing with the PF2 Arcs this season, running them back to back by area.

![]() |

Thanks for running all these together. It was indeed very cool to do them in sequence with the same team.
Since she doesn't need to roll a save or anything for the radiation, she reroll her Day job
Profession (Kalistocrat), Professional Clothing : 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 1 = 22

It was my pleasure!
Chronicles should be up HERE. Let me know if they look ok, and if no issues/objections, I'll report on Tuesday (giving people some time to check)

Thanks to Zoomba for running, and to my fellow players for carrying this mission.
I was part of a fairly large charity event a couple weeks ago, and work has been a bear. I feel a little bad that I couldn't give this game the attention that it deserved.
In any case, I enjoyed myself, and I am thankful to the chance to participate.

Chronicle looks good.
Thanks for several great sessions, guys. It's nice to play with the same people/group again and again. It's even better when that group is made up of good players with good characters and a good GM.

Jones228 |

Yes thanks to GM Zoomba for running all three scenario's. Felt more like a campaign instead of just a module, it was a great experience. Thanks as well to all my fellow players, especially for the help navigating the operative class.
Quick question, do I apply this chronicle at level 8 because that's the level the pregen was, or just once I'm in the subtier range of 7-8? 7th level could be the better part of a year at pbp posting rates, would be a shame to sit on it that long if I could have used it.

I downloaded the chronicle it looks good!
@GM thanks for a great run, I loved the three sessions. I liked the feel of this scenario and I did felt the fear for the mummy and being forced to stay there forever. Nicely done!
