Looks like it.

As far as we know we have one Babau you want to avoid and several priests. But they may have summoned more that we just haven't accounted for yet. But it sounds like the others were casting buff spells instead.

Did ting hit? He has improved precise shot, but I don't know if it covers the same benefits as Precise shot as well.

I will be out of town for about 2 weeks. I will try to keep up, but if I don't, bot me.

Hi everyone! Just poking and prodding (again) to ask if there is any remote chance we could pick up the pace a bit on this game?

I will assume right off the bat, even though it is going very slow I think it has a lot of potential and it is a great challenge, so that is why I keep bumping Discussion to make sure it is alive and kicking :)

I was under the impression we had at least agreed to daily postings (and I know some of us do check it very regularly)? Any chance we could go all back to that rhythm?

Human bloodrager 1/transmuter (enhancement) 5 - HP 50/50, AC 13 (21 w/ shield and Mage Armor) - Perception +10; F: +6/ R: 2/ W: 5- Speed: 40, Active Conditions: n/a

I would love that. I check this space several times a day.

I've considered letting the game go because of the pace.

Likewise.

Hi everyone - wanted to let you all know unfortunately I am dropping out from the game. If anyone would like a detailed account, feel free to PM me, otherwise I will simply say there are a few things which are not working out for me, and causing me not to enjoy our adventure.

With that being said, I wish you good luck with the game going forward - I really think this is a very solid group of players. Apologies for dropping out like this, and hope to see you around the boards!

Sorry to see you go Tessai.

Human bloodrager 1/transmuter (enhancement) 5 - HP 50/50, AC 13 (21 w/ shield and Mage Armor) - Perception +10; F: +6/ R: 2/ W: 5- Speed: 40, Active Conditions: n/a

Friends. I'm laid up with COVID. Sick as a dog. I'll check in as and when I can.

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

Sorry to hear that. Get well soon.

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

So who's got Detect Magic and enough skill ranks in Spellcraft to identify the magic stuff?

And who's got a Handy Haversack to carry whatever is worth carrying? Hate leaving possibly valuable stuff behind....

Round leather case with hand written documents? Sounds worth at least glancing at the documents.

Unique potion? Definitely interested. Can't that be identified with a perception check some how? Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

I have an 11 to identify magic items and a handy haversack.

My haversack is already stuffed.

I will be on vacation from tonight through Monday. I am not sure what my internet situation will be through the trip, but I will try and be available to post at least once a day. Bot me as needed if I am taking to long.

yeah, worried that as soon as he lifts the golden diadem, they get attacked by eight rooms of crypts filled with zombies...

Human bloodrager 1/transmuter (enhancement) 5 - HP 50/50, AC 13 (21 w/ shield and Mage Armor) - Perception +10; F: +6/ R: 2/ W: 5- Speed: 40, Active Conditions: n/a

Folks:

I'm sorry to have been away. My recovery from COVID is going poorly and leaving me exhausted. If I'm player in your game, please bot me. If I'm the GM - I'll be back in the saddle as soon as I can.

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

"eight rooms of crypts filled with zombies..." Well, we've found the enemy! Call in the artillery, danger close!

Heavy storms last night, we've got no power or internet so posting on my phone. Hopefully it will be up and running soon, bot me as needed.

The electric company is telling folks they should have everyone’s power back by Friday. So I am using my wife’s work laptop to post from my mother-in-laws house. All of my documents and such are on my desk top at home, so I apologize if the posts are a little simplistic. I’m trying to squeeze what I normally take all day to do in a couple of hours.

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

My internet is out, and I'm moving. Maybe a week, maybe 3. Bot me as needed.

Hmmm, it’s been four days, still no power, went to the mother-in-laws for a couple of hours to do laundry, so will get a post up…

Dark Archive

I will be going on vacation from the 23rd through the 30th. I hope to have internet and be able to post over the week at least some, but I won't know until the day of if the area we are in is covered. Feel free to bot me as needed.

Ting seems to lose control of his little bird feet and he begins to dance a tarantella in time with the eerie music.

As he begins to circle about the room, stepping in time with the music, bones in the crypts begins to stir and several bizarre goat-human skeletons stand up and also begin to dance out into the crypt....

Ok that's just creepy!

So does he have control of the rest of his faculties? Just wanting to know if he can talk or defend himself if attacked.

Just dancing, still have the ability to protect yourself.

The goat-man skeletons aren't attacking, just dancing.

Are the harpies on the map?

Sorry, work kicked my butt yesterday.

Holy cow. This week got out of hand at work.

I can't believe it is Friday.

With ting's Hp being 58, and the attack damage was 27+34+33=94, so -94-58= -36 if my math is right, this means ting is dead, correct?

I believe you are correct.

That natural 20 took me by surprise.

Your sponsors back in the city did help to prepare you for this eventuality.

Oh it's Rappan Athuk, there is always this possibility. The first time I played it the GM had us the 'character' fill out a will :)

Having said that I appreciate the opportunity to play Ting again, even if it was just for a bit in PBP terms.

Lefty has the ability to teleport you back to safety and you have the resources to be up and at it.

Do we? Is there a caster in town who can raise him? I have mixed feelings about it. I'm not sure Ting would want resurrected.

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

Let me know.

Do we have enough loot to pay for raising him? 7000 gp for raise dead and two restorations, that's the resale value of everything he has. That's assuming the 'Ferry' has a cleric of high enough level to raise him.

To my knowledge we haven't found all that much. Was anyone tracking 'loot'?

Edit: To answer my own question I've found here and here

Rough guess, everything sells at half-price we may get enough to raise him. Not sure it's worth it for the other players. Dungeon Master of Graves you open to the idea of me bringing in another character?

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

We can also take the time to recover the treasure in the poisoned pool, here that we couldn't get. I can change my wandering spirit and get Mage Hand, or possibly use delay poison to dive in and get it, and neutralize poison once we've got it.... Probably should prepare this a couple of times since a CL check is needed....

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

I can do mage hand, but it only works on non-magical items that weigh less than 5 lbs.

There are other possibilities if I can prep a new set of spells.

We can all pitch in to save Ting. I like his wild accent and attitude.

Dark Archive

If we are planning on teleporting back to town, we might be able to go into the pool and then deal with the effects once we hit town.

You folks take your time, I'm not in a hurry.

I love Ting too, but I don't think he'll survive long. Without a front liner to work with his attitude will get him killed, a lot. He tends to get himself in trouble and needs help getting out of it. Thats why when I saw we had a paladin and a couple characters with bloodrager and monk levels that I thought he would be ok. But as the only frontliner his days are numbered. So, let's assume he's dead-dead.

Having realized that Ting is too gentle of a soul for RA, and as a switch hitter wasn't built for being the sole front liner, assuming Dungeon Master of Graves permits a different character; Would we rather have a tanky dwarf paladin (tortured crusader) with a reach weapon and/or sword axe and board to clog the middle to allow ranged attacks, or a half orc barbarian Invulnerable Rager/totem warrior to charge forward to do serious damage?

Both are characters I've played, but I don't have any preference one way or the other.

Drop the mummy and there is plenty to cover a raise/resurrection.

No difference to me if you want to swap characters.

Lefty can teleport back to civilization when needed.

I love Ting, but with just four, he'll keep getting himself killed. It's not the first time, had to pay for two resurrections in PFS, I should have known better than to attempt RA.

I asked above and I'll repeat it since no one answered, Wyran, Lothorian, and Malinor do any of you have a preference between a tanky dwarf paladin or an aggressive barbarian half-orc?

Take your time getting back to town, when you arrive, I'll have one or the other ready.

M Elf U. Rog 1, Evok 4, AT 1 HP 44/44 | AC: 22/18 T: 14 F: 15 |CMB: 3 CMD: 17 | F +4 R +5 W +5 | Init +5 | Perc: +11|

Aggressive barbarian, you say? I like those. I vote for that.

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

I second the vote for a barbarian!

Why would Mage Hand not pick up magical items? You're limited by weight, but magic?

Pick up what we can with the Mage Hand. If there's something too heavy that looks worth grabbing, cast Delay Poison on whoever has the best Fort save. Then once that person gets the stuff I cast Neutralize poison to get rid of the effects completely.

As for the mummy.... another good barrage of bullets from Malinor might do it!

OK, a Barbarian it is. Seljak will have been a friend that Ting invited to join them. But got sidetracked after a brawl and a week in lock up. So, he will get to the 'Ferry' as quickly as he could. He will be very sad to hear his best friend died and want revenge.

I'll have the crunch done tomorrow, but do not rush on my account.

Would mage hand be able to take a line of some sort down and tie it to the magical item to drag it up?

DMoG please take a look at Seljak, tell me if you see anything awry.

I'll get a quick backstory explaining traits, how he met ting, and why he was late arriving.

Again, folks, don't feel like you have to be in a hurry to return to town. It's my fault I got ting killed; you shouldn't have to feel rushed due to my error.

Looks straightforward enough

So what are you folks doing?

U-Monk 1/Serendipity (Heavens) Shaman 5 | HP 47/47 | AC 19/23 T:19/23 FF:10/14 (Second # w/Mage Armor) | Init:+6 | Perc +16 (+20 to notice enemy before surprise round) | F:+6 R:+8 W:+10 | Sense Motive:+18 Stealth:+16 | Defiant Luck: 1/1 | Stardust: 5/5 | Current Wandering Spirit: Life: Channel 3/3

I think we need Malinor to blast the thing again, and get some really good rolls!

Dark Archive

Is it my turn? I have been waiting for the GM to say I was up before posting.

Wyran Zuranan wrote:
Heading back to town? Is this game still on?

Hmmmm our GM is active in one other game and he posted in it on Monday. I thought we were waiting on 'Lefty' to respond to the information provided. I'm in another game with him and sent him a Direct Message on that games discussion board (slack) and he's not responded yet.

So having trouble telling how interested everyone is. But maybe this is just going to be one of those really slow games...
