Sorry I don't have time today after work to post an introduction in the gameplay thread but will put down Khunbish's details first.

Yes, Khunbish has "Ally of the Iruxi"
Quick GM question. Khunbish also has a cat companion. What I understand is that the cat successfully manages to hide at the start of combat, its first target would be flat-footed. However, technically we should be using stealth initiative roll to determine whether it is undetected or not. However, animal companions don't roll their own initiative - they use their master's. So how do we adjudicate that?

Advanced Maneuvers don't kick in until at least 8th level with the Incredible Companion feat.

That's ok get it when you can.

In that case, make a stealth roll for the animal companion, but it will still go on your turn.

Great, thanks!
His cat companion, Irves, has a stealth of +13. (Should be a secret roll right?)
And apologies. Khunbish would be Searching, not Avoiding Notice.

I'll give my Glyph hero point to Raznik.
School item: Scroll of Haste
Emmanuel Holysmith
|
Emmanuel will take a lesser comprehension elixir from the PFS schools.
Khunbish Nandin
|
Under the Generalist school, Khunbish will take 2 lesser healing potions. However, as he would usually be in wild shape during combat, the potions to other to carry? Maybe Emmanuel and Roumatha?
Chulyin the Spirit Talker

(Fortuide save DC22 & DC20)
Having just endured one of these things in a module, that 2nd DC looks like their reaction ability. You, including NPCs, don't get a reaction until the beginning of their turn, so I don't think anyone who acted before them should be a valid target of their reaction.
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
Ah, that could be it, yes.
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
Heh. Some of those attacks may need to be redirected, or we're in hotter water than it looks.
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
It's a safer option, but most characters only have a 25 ft speed at best, so they'd catch up and keep people in gaze range soon enough.
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
Emmanuel: Only Reinhart was sitting on damage, and only 4 hp at that. You might want to reserve those level 2 soothes for some later combat (whenever the basilisk mastermind reveals itself).
Sir Reinhart
|
It's 10 damage on my shield remaining. My squire will help pound it out next time we've got 10 minutes.
No need to Soothe me, appreciate all the love though.
Also have many heals available here as well from divine font.

I apologize, I saw the raise shield but missed the 'will block' in your post. Yes, your damage would have been less with an emblazoned steel shield.
Please, Next time you notice a mistake or overlooked a post action, let me know with an OOC comment, PM, or another method, I'm only human so I do make mistakes from time to time.
Note: in Reinhart character sheet it lists an emblazoned steel shield, but the stats are for an emblazoned Sturdy Shield?
Sir Reinhart
|
No worries, I was having a rough couple days and had missed the hit on Reinhart entirely until just today when I was double checking the combat math and healing etc. Normally I'm pretty quick to note discrepancies so that we're on the same page.
Fixed the inventory list. Which reminds me I have an old steel shield that I haven't bothered to sell on the off chance anybody wants to borry it.
Emmanuel Holysmith
|
In that case I will withdraw my healings. Soothe is my level 1 signature spell, so I spend level 1 slots to cast at my highest level.
But now you all see the advantages of keeping me alive (or unstoned, at least)
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
That's not what Signature Spell does. You can heighten (and use the higher spell slot) to cast your Signature Spells without spending a spell known on the individual different heightened levels of the spell.
So to cast it at 2nd level, you're still using 2nd level spell slots.
Raznik
|
Moving strategy planning for the ritual here. Aside from needing to know what the runes do, I'm thinking we need someone with good Arcana or Nature skills to keep doing Recall Knowledge each round as each new elementals appear. We can probably guess fire vs water and vice versa, but there could be other weaknesses or resistances that will be good to know.
Raznik is a pure damage dealer, especially if there's no reason to hide. If there's a single elemental, Bitey can try to blind it.
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
I'd pass on the Greater Challenge. I didn't memorize the most effective spells vs. elementals today.
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
Is the increased DC if a given PC ever uses the same skill again, or if more than one PC uses the same skill in the same round?
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
I forgot my Ally bonus, but I don't think that pushes it into a critical success.
Roumatha Esthor
|
Huh? Is that it? It was fun while it lasted but I fully expected the basilisk owner to attack at this point! The basilisks feel like a loose thread...
Sorry to not have contributed much to the meeting part; by the time I checked the thread in my timezone two successes would invariably be accrued already.
Thank you for the game GM and the crew!
Khunbish Nandin
|
Thanks for running the game, GM!
Yeah, I kind of was expecting something from the basilisk attack. So I take it that it was just a random encounter?
Chulyin the Spirit Talker
|
I think it was “mastermind villain not yet revealed.”
Thanks, GM Glyn.
Khunbish Nandin
|
Ah yes, of course. Sequel of a sequel. :)
GM Glyn
|
Yea, in the scenario there is a little explanation as to why the basilisk attacked.
"The iruxi isolationists are behind the basilisk attack. They have no desire to kill a famous and respected diplomat. Still, they need to ensure she won’t attend the conference tomorrow, so they arranged to slip a trained basilisk into her room to petrify her, doing no lasting harm but keeping her unavailable until fresh basilisk blood can be located to cure her."
Then there is a 1/3 of a page sidebar on what to do if the PCs try to further an investigation into who set the basilisk lose.
No one main villain just a disorganized association Isolationists who were no match for this group of Pathfinders.
