No particular boons called out.
Also while there is no starship combat in this one, s you will be in a vehicle for a section of it, if you have any Starship boons that affect no starship vehicles (I know of at least one, 1-28's) that may be good to slot.
Vecro
|
Boons:
Ally Boon Professional Hireling Access (Life Science, Mysticism, Physical Science) +4 +lvl = +8
Social boon: Making Connection
Personal Boon: Sudden Attunement
Faction: Wayfinders Champion, Improved
Starship: none that is relevant :(

i'm all for helping out because that is what adventurers do, but... just sayin... this is pretty suspicious. Why would we want to fix this leak when honestly this planet/colony probably should be blacklisted if they are dealing in shady stuff. Sometimes government (in this case the pact worlds) has good reasons for not trusting everyone!
DuQuesne
|
Did you skip this bit, or you think Therseis is lying?
The anomalies are not the result of military testing. Therseis clarifies. Instead the military has set up the Zone specifically to monitor, study, and potentially contain, the abnormalties within. Other citizens and travelers are diverted around and away from the Zone for their own safety...
Based on what happened on the previous scenario set on this planet, this is probably just a result of...
Though it might turn into a government plot or something. But, for now, he has the trust of a faction leader, and such NPCs shouldn't be fooled so easily.
Mustachio Marino
|
well I don't know much about the politics here... but if it was caused the ruling class, it does mean it was caused by the government.
DuQuesne
|
Anyway, just roll a Sense Motive and see if Therseis is full of it or not.
My character can't see how any of it would be worse than what goes on in Akiton, Eox, Aucturn or Apostae.
Vecro

I hear you Mustachio for me the whole reasoning of: We don't want Pact World to know is a bit thin. Planets may have anomalies, it sounds like a reasonably normal thing. It also seems a bit odd as my understanding is that Pact World is an organization of planets with common interests based on trade and protection agreements. Internal planet anomalies should not have an impact on the decision if one can be a member. But what do I know about politics... I am a boxing promoter :P

Mustachio is no genius, far from it. At this point he just wants to be a pirate.
I suggest a single sub, because PBP is hard to organize multiple running pieces at the same time.

Finally got around to slotting my boons. Only one is relevant. GM, could you bump up my profession roll by 5?
Budding Media Celebrity (Social Boon): Following your stint on Live Exploration Extreme!, your face and name appear in images, videos, and memes across media platforms. This recognition only lasts a few days before the next major media phenomenon arises, but you can use this to launch your media career. If you have the icon theme (that's me!), you gain a +5 Profession check when performing a Day Job check.
Kat5e
|
"That's exactly what I said! But in reverse order!" DuQuesne laughs, amused.
Busted, that's what happens when you try and get a post in 30 feet in the air at work. Reading comprehension fail.
| GM Zoomba |
Oh, I have made many a far dumber/odd post trying to get something out before work/heading out for the night :)
DuQuesne
|
We're going to die, aren't we?
I'm sitting on two hits next round, for 16 damage only - anyone got a supercharge weapon spell up their sleeve? It would bring me to nearly 40 damage =D
DuQuesne
|
Oddly enough, I'm fighting a
at another game I'm in right now.
Paizo needs more plant monsters...
Kat5e
|
Used to be able to move my pawn on my phone but am having trouble with this new phone. I have not yet moved on the map.
DuQuesne
|
I hadn't even seen the map on slide 3 till now!
I guess DuQuesne's silver tongue skipped us a battle!
Mustachio Marino
|
THanks for the game! For my chronicles, please give me a 30 on my profession roll because I slotted this boon.
Budding Media Celebrity (Social Boon): Following your stint on Live Exploration Extreme!, your face and name appear in images, videos, and memes across media platforms. I had forgotten that Mustachio; luckily just a quick tweak to the sheet!
Chronicles should be up HERE. If there's any errors on them, let me know and I'll be glad to correct them.
I'm going to be reporting this game tomorrow (one more day to flag any SFS# errors. I hope you enjoyed the game - I certainly had a good time running it for you - and am sure I'll see you around the boards again in the future!
DuQuesne
|
Chronicle is solid - thanks for GMing!
And look at that, just leveled up to 6 with this!
Kat5e
|
Chronicle looks in order, put me to level 4.
I enjoyed this one, thanks GM for running, and thanks to all the players for a fun read!
Vecro
|
@GM the chronicle looks good. It is downaloded
Thank you for running this game. I enjoyed it a lot, I feel like this scenario was a bit odd, meaning that the rebel group hinted about some problems. And them saying go and see beacon for yourself, but we found nothing odd there. It could be that this story is the beginning of a longer plot but currently, I don't know what to think of it.
Either way, I liked playing with you. @Gm thanks for running this game, you did great! @Team I liked the interactions and lack of trust towards the rebels.

It is a bit of an abrupt resolution I find as well. I believe they're trying to set up more nuanced conflict/situation with Tabrid Minor then just 'A group bad/corrupt, B group opposing them should be helped'. but IMO this scenario doesn't quite give enough background to fully flesh it out.
The Fallen Hand (as presented/described in this scenario, and a bit in Near Space) is definitely on the extreme other end of the spectrum. Their demands for total isolation for Tabrid Minor until that got their own %$^& together is a tall order. My take on them as to how they justify it is that they firmly believe the current gov't/military know exactly how bad it is, and are now just stalling to save themselves. That they have known for a while (with the long-existing monitoring of Zone 78 and others) and are now just putting all resources/chips into getting a place in the stars so that they can leave Tabird Minor when it is uninhabitable. How much of that is an accurate take on the situation is unclear and a bit up to interpretation: neither the government here nor the Fallen Hand are exactly open and helpful. And there's arguments to be made for either side (at least based on the info given from Paizo so far).
Take the beacon: it has been recording and monitoring the Zone for some time, and those readings are used to steer the general population away from Zone 78. Whether that is a case of a government trying to protect its citizens from heading into danger, or a case of a government covering up the danger could be seen either way depending on the framing.
There's also the matter that while the 'hat' of this planet is certainly not exactly hiding its attempt at some real-world parallels, its tricky to draw a 1-to-1 comparison in a universe where there's also magic and already exists multiple inter-system governments who could potentially aid. Even if the government was explicitly "BAD NEWS", the sheer amount of resources, aid, and genuine world-altering terraforming tech and spellcraft that outside groups could bring in seems to be tilting the scales towards helping even if you don't like who you're working through and this 'option C' seems to have been pointed out by multiple players at both this and my other table
Still, I tried to bring out as much nuance as I could, and hoped you enjoyed it nonetheless!

It is interesting. I would want to play the next adventure here to see how it develops. Anyone know what that is?
We didn't get any boons did we? Nothing that would help us our next time in Tabrid Minor.
| Zoomba |
If there are future adventures on Tabrid Minor, none are announced yet (though this one just came out a couple of months ago.) In fact, a reporting condition for me to mark is if the party thinks the Society should cease their missions on the planet or not.
As for boons, currently NO season 3 adventures have boons on their chronicles. Some may be added retroactively later for download as (in my understanding) the SFS is planning on moving to an ACP-esque system for Starfinder next year ala PFS2. I think they’re also planning on just having previously relevant chronicle sheets just called out instead of needing a boon link I.E. rather than you spotting a boon earned in 3-XX for an extra benefit in the scenario, you would just auto get that benefit if your character has played 3-xx
