Rodalas Windrace
Emmett lands flat on his back and he hears a loud pop coming from his lower back.
"Ow! My back! The pain is gone!"
Then he hears the wolf. He lifts his head, scrambling to get up.

he popped his back! ROFLMAO

I'll never get used to talking animals, Turq tightens his grip as he faces off with the wolves.
Upon hearing Aggrammar's question, Deepdelver! Jump in feet-first! We are trying ta keep these otters alive!

Also remember that me, Urmihk (I think I'll call him Mihkey), and Mir (sorry, don't have Cyrillic alphabet) probably have quite a few rounds of bless...

"I am gonna be regretin' this..." - Aggrammar grumbles, but trusts his companion and jumps in.
Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 10
And down the sturdy dwarf tumbles, like a rock...
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Rodalas, didn't roll awesome on your Dex (Acrobatics) check? I think that gave you advantage on Initiative!
Greycastle
Wolf Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
apologies, works been busy this week so far. I will try to get a map and stuff up tonight. I was going to say whoever is ahead of the wolves could act but of course they have rolled well lol.
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
No worries, buddy. Looks like we are fighting an uphill battle!
Greycastle
ok. While I did update the map last night, (the map can be viewed under my profile) I didn’t get around to that post. So, without further ado...
Seeming to follow the large wolf’s barked orders, two of the wolves break off from pursuing the otters to assist the larger wolf while the third grey wolf continues to harry the smaller creatures.
Moving in on the group, the wolves fight as a unit, staying close to one another for back up. The two smaller wolves sniff the offered meats briefly but then move past it quickly. It seems they are only interested in a fresh kill.
order of initiative, this will also determine any random effects rolls I make. I did move your tokens around a little to fit the random rolls in case any of you had noticed the map being up.
Wolves
Baldrick
Emmett
Umikh
Turquoise
Rodalas
Aggrammar
Mir
targets: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) = 7
Attack on Emmett: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Attack on Baldrick w Adv: 2d20 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 = 12
Attack on Turq w Adv: 2d20 + 4 ⇒ (17, 8) + 4 = 29

- also a DC 11 STR save or be proned.
Attack on Otter: 2d20 + 4 ⇒ (18, 14) + 4 = 36
Leaping over the rigid ice between you, the wolves attack aggressively. Emmett, his back feeling better than it has in a long time, easily side steps the wolf’s clumsy attack. Baldrick has similar success turning away the larger wolf’s jaws. Turq however receives a nasty bite on his arm.
As if to accentuate the danger for the otters, the remaining wolf seems to find purchase with one of the otters and you here the creature squeak in pain and then go silent.
be quick adventurers, our otter friends need your help! Party is up. No need to wait for the others to post, just post your action and we’ll be good.

Aghh, basterd! Turq yelps! Strength Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
The warrior spits, sliding on the ice as he keeps his feet. Turq tears his arm out of the wolf's jaws and grits his teeth, Go spit, ya bag o' fur. Yer dead, ya just don't know it yet. Second Wind (bonus): 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 O.o
He swings the maul from his shoulder and at the wolf that bit him!
Maul w/ bless: 1d20 + 4 + 1d4 ⇒ (20) + 4 + (3) = 27 O.O
Damage with Critical: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 2) + 2 = 12Reroll 1s & 2s: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) = 10 17 hp damage!
Baldrick Longhall
Still a bit over-excited by his trip down the slide and his landing, Baldrick ignores the wolves entirely, instead turning to babble at Turq: "Turq! Mr. Barreltap! Oh you should have seen it - I came zipping out of that tube, flipped up and over, and Boom! right on my feet! Oh it was magnificent" Gesticulating madly to emphasize his words, some fine dust flicks off his fingertips, in the direction of the wolves and otters.
Sleep
If Baldrick targets the intersection of the square that is 3 west, 2 south of his location, he should be able to hit three wolves (excluding the green one, which I suspect Turq just killed anyway) without hitting any of the party. This will also hit the two nearest otters, but that can't be helped.
HP affected: 5d8 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 3, 8) = 17
oh wow, that was terrible :(
@Greycastle: I don't know if you want me to make the Wild Magic Surge rolls, but 1d20 ⇒ 13
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Before his epic turn, responding to Baldrick...
It were quite amazin', Longhall! But keep yer eye on the ball! We gots wolves on us! Plenty o' time ta tell the stories around the campfire, later!
Emmett Escheus
Oh no! Oh no! There's too many! Too many!!!
Thinks Emmett as he slips off the front line, rolling back, then up on his feet with spectacular gracelessness to put distance and armed companions between him and the disserting wolves.
Once behind, he gives a nod to Rodalas: "You go this!"
Bardic Inspiration (+1d6) on a d20 roll in the next 10 minutes. Can be added after the roll.
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Since Bardic Inspiration is a bonus action, you gonna do anything else? Maybe viciously mock a wolf? ;)
Rodalas Windrace
Seeing that the otters are under attack by the menacing wolf, the eladrin will nod at the inspiration, and using his bonus action will misty step in between the otters and the wolf.
With a silent smile he will slash at the wolf
rapier 1d20 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 5 + (3) = 16 using inspiration to make sure he hits
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
not sure if he would get sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 1
and will follow up with a dagger
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4) + 3 = 10
Umikh Ironbender
Welp, so much for being reasonable. Umikh kips up and steps to the brown wolf, axe first.
Axe attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 eyeroll
I was gonna move on, but guess Umi will hang out here and wale on that wolf until it don't fight no more.
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Well done, Rodalas! Turq smiles ferally at the Alpha wolf, Tell me again, how they are yours?
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Damage is damage, Mihkey! Honestly, I feel for ya! What did you take for your Fighting Style? Defense?
Emmett Escheus
Since Bardic Inspiration is a bonus action, you gonna do anything else? Maybe viciously mock a wolf? ;)
Sorry, I forgot to clarify Emmett was disengaging.
Mир
His allies having cleared the way, Mир stands up and rushes to the aid of his animal allies. As he rushes he gumbles a few words that echo in the cave stragnely and his club begins shiftly unnaturally.
stand and move, dash next to the wolf, cast shilleleigh
Umikh Ironbender
Umikh has Great Weapon fighting, cuz I've been wanting to play a character that can do some damage! And then that sneeze of a roll lol. Next hit, mateys, next hit.
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
"Ok, that part is done!" - Aggrammar grumbles, stands up and draws his mace.
I assume I can stand up and draw the mace, but no more. right?
It is only half your move to stand. If you can make it to your target with your 12.5 feet remaining, you still have your action. Or, you can cast a cantrip, if you got range.
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Umikh has Great Weapon fighting, cuz I've been wanting to play a character that can do some damage! And then that sneeze of a roll lol. Next hit, mateys, next hit.
That makes that 3 so much worse... >.< We are two Great-Weapon Fighters! ^_^ Ahh, brother!

Map has been changed to allow you to move your tokens. Sorry bout that. Please adjust. Honestly though the fight may be over in short order.
The Eladrin poofs into action and before the wolf even knows the elf has apeared, it is dead. In similar fashion Turq squashes the wolf in front of him with the addition of a large crunch and wolf gore exploding everywhere. The wolves die so obviously that you’re all a little surprised when the third wolf collapses for some unknown reason.
The remain wolf, the one who spoke, seems to understand his predicament and moves away from the party quickly, the fight seemingly out of him.
party up, the remaining conscious wolf has moved 40 ft from you. I will adjust his position on the map later today.
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Ugh, like a Gallagher Sledge-o-matic show! So, I moved Rodalas for him, and turned the 3 dead wolves photonegative (since I couldn't find red). Which way does the Alpha head?
Emmett Escheus
Emmett exhales his relief loudly, now that the fight seems over: "You are all mighty warriors! I am lucky to have such mighty companions! The toughest fight I'ver ever been in was with some stubborn trout... I won that one, mind you, but it took hours!"
Baldrick Longhall
Is there a way for the wolf to escape or is it trapped in here with us?
Looking somewhat chagrined at Turq's admonishment, Baldrick turns back to the fight ... only to find the wolves are down or gone.
"Oh! ... uh..." Looking over to the wolf that seems to be able to speak, Baldrick calls out: "Mother Tusk sent us to help her otter children - that's more important than your claim to this hunt."
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
Turq looks at Emmett and Baldrick with a nod and a smile, Spritzel? Is one of you Spritzel? Mother Tusk sent us to find you.
The warrior scrutinizes the otters to see if one reacts... stepping to the edge of the water, dipping a wash cloth in and wiping the blood and gore from his face.
Rodalas Windrace
The eladrin will sit down, weapons put away and will calmly wait for the otters to come to him.
Greycastle
being that I chose a different map than the one provided, a little off map imagination has to happen. I thought this one had a little more character, but you have to ignore the trees as we are in a cavern of sorts lol.
The alpha wolf seems to be plodding toward the back of the cave away from you. Unless any of you, apha included, have been here before, it is hard to say if there is a way out or not.
For some of you, the adrenaline of combat waning, you begin to realize you're not out of danger just yet. Your thick clothes that have been soaked by the large pool of almost frozen water that you now stand in, begin to draw the cold of the frozen north into your bodies. For those of you still in the heat of combat, this may go unnoticed, but it will not be long before it cannot be ignored any further.
This frigid water could kill you unless you find a way to get out of this cave, get warm, and to dry your clothes, but the chamber is flooded with water and there’s nothing to burn. What are you going to do?
please keep in mind that you may require light to see here. im not sure if we established what light source we were using topside if any. Even before coming down the slides dim light is the best you get.
Umikh Ironbender
Yeah keep moving away! he hollers after the alpha wolf, with no desire to do more damage.
As Turq checks to see if Spritzel is there, Umikh realizes that he's wet. And freezing. Uhhh, anybody see the way outta this place? Me clothes are about to freeze solid with me still inside!
Perception check for a way out: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Turquoise 'Turq' Barreltap AL
I had the torch from before, but I assumed that out in the search, it had long since gone out. Is it dim light in here, with the sunlight shining from the tunnel?
Also, no response from Spritzel?
Turq, after cleaning his face calmly addresses the Alpha wolf, since no response from Spritzel seems forthcoming, Wolf, it seems that ye're similar to Mother Tusk... able to speak the tongue of man. Was this simply a hunt for food, or someting more?
The soldier stands his maul in the icy water, as he produces a torch from his pack and fishes out his flint and steel. A few sparks later and Turquoise Barreltap stands with a lit torch, If the appetite has left ye now, perhaps we may have more of a parlay...
Charisma (Persuasion)?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 Nice... If Persuasion is not applicable, then it is only an 18.
EDIT: Haha, I thought those trees were river rock piles! >.< They were trees...
Emmett Escheus
Emmet lights up the cave as the others start exploring: "This should help to see our way out. I too feel the cold. We should head to a drier spot..."
Greycastle
@Turq one of the Otters does seem to match the description of Spritzle as they move closer toward you in the water. [/ooc]
Baldrick Longhall
Finding the wolf unresponsive to his and Turq's questions, Baldrick scratches a temple: "Wait - I'm confused. Mир, are there talking animals that aren't Mother Tusk's children?"
Hearing Umikh and Emmett's more immediate concerns about the cold, the young dwarf has a quick look around the chamber:
Investigation: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Maybe Under-ice is not so different from under-ground? thinks Baldrick.
Greycastle
The Otters draw closer as the wolf moves further into the tunnels away from the party. The wolf seems more interested in fleeing from you than answering any questions. One of the Otters however bobs to the surface excitedly in front of you. He matches the description of Spritzel that you were given by Mother Tusk.
Spritzel is overjoyed and his squeaky voice hums with overwrought energy. He looks at Mir at first suprised in Otter speak ”Oh wow! You speak Otter! Do your friends speak Otter? Oh! I’m guessing probably not. Not to worry, I speak human!”
in common ”Thank you! We were returning from the town, and we saw a vicious owlbear with black feathers and we ran away, but then we saw the wolves, so we ran from them, but they saw us and chased us and we couldn’t lose them, but we found these tunnels, but they followed us down, but you rescued us—” He stops abruptly. “Wow, you look cold!”
