Why, is he important to Ameiko or something? She didn't seem to indicate it in her Haiku's.

We would have no idea if they're related or not, and I'd always prefer to kill an obvious enemy rather than try to deal with the hassle of capturing them or leaving them free to plot against us later. Especially when we're goblins! :)

Hmm, appears the Paizo boards didn't want to show me stuff was moving. Oh well, now they did and Batry is on top of the book. Or not really, he doesn't want the yucky blood all over him.
It's why he prefers ranged weaponry.

May I suggest putting the thing carrying the room down against a wall or something? That way Batry can shot from there. Would probably catch them by surprise as well.

Who is carrying the dimensional door thing? Is it Swaggy? I'm guessing it's Swaggy.

Batry is inside the extradimensional room so I first need to know where the thing is before I can do anything. Batry might not even know there is a combat as of yet.

I placed Chambawamba on the map and asked who was carrying the extradimensional door. I was assuming it's Swaggy, but if it's 'Wamba she'll set it down before she rushes forward to where I put her.

...By the way, I should also mention that my posting rate for the next two weeks or so might be lower. My newborn son is now recovering from his surgeries in earnest and is now awake like a normal baby - he needs someone to constantly be there. I'm taking turns doing this with the factulty staff, since his mom is also currently hospitalized. This means I don't have that much time to post in general, at least until he can come home and I can stay at home near a computer, but I'll try to keep up.


Not a problem at all. Real life comes first - especially when family's involved. I hope they make a full recovery with no complications.

Like the GM said, no stress. Hopefully they'll both be making speedy recoveries so you can move out of the hospital and start to heal at home.

How high is the tunnel? As in, can I ride Snookums without having to duck all the time?

If so Batry and Snookums would be towards the back together. If not, Batry would hang in the back while Snookums walks near Chamba.

Oh, and Batry will discourage singing.


The tunnel ceiling is approximately 8ft high. Since goblins are Small, you should be able to ride Snookums without much trouble. XD

I couldn't log in again after the site shutdown until I cleared my browser's cache of all items and all cookies, but that solved the problem. Sharing that here in case any of us are having the same issue!

I had the same problem! Just in case, options which clear temporary internet files or all cookies did not appear to work for me. I had to manually select the paizo cookies and delete them.

If you use Chrome, it's in Settings > Cookies and other site data > See all cookies and site data. Then pick paizo and manually delete it.


Same problem; I literally just finished fixing the issue. New post will be up shortly.


Apparently people who don't have an RSS service set up can't see these posts with the solution in them, since they can't log in to see what topics have been updated recently.


Just checking in really quick. I'm guessing Cuan's dealing with the login issue, and I don't have a way to reach them. :-( Since Chamba retroactively made her save, I'll wait a little longer before updating in case she wants to try eating the monster or something. XD

I'm very curious how we'll fare against the bat lady/quasit. I suspect the only one able to reliably break through her DR will be Chamba but the quasit can fly.


I'm sure you'll figure something out. In my experience, groups often find a creative solution since she's resistant/immune to so many things.

This does give me an in character reason to pick up the Destruction Sphere with Shape Focus drawback asap though. The shape of choice would be Energy Strike so that Batry can only channel the magic through his weapon.

Out of character I had already figured that would be a good move, but having an ic reason makes it better.

Well, this does give me an opportunity to try out the debuff side of Swaggy rather than the buffing one :) Didn't exactly built him for it, but being able to apply a 10 round sicken and stack that with black magic and the troop challenge seems pretty potent? Even if we only deal small amounts of damage, if she can't act we'll get there eventually...?

The only real downside is that irradiance is apparently a forced 35 foot radius if used for the nauseation chance so she can fairly easily get most of us inside of it by flying to the middle of the room...

Says the noob, crossing his fingers since he's never fought this thing before, ever. :)


That's exactly the purpose of this encounter. XD Paizo's using Book One to teach certain game fundamentals, and this is how newbies learn about DR and resistances/immunities. I'll share how my last group defeated her once y'all are done. XD
