Just so I understand alignment damage:
Good Damage: Hurts anyone with an evil alignment
Evil Damage: Hurts anyone with a good alignment
Chaotic Damage: Hurts anyone with a lawful alignment
Lawful Damage: Hurts anyone with a chaotic alignment
Is that right?
Correct. Neutral is unaffected.

I fixed the link to the purple mark. It should be viewable now. Sorry about that to those who were trying to see it.

I will have a post up later tonight, my weekends are usually kinda busy and this one is especially busy.

For convenience, I've added a link to the Secret trait page in AoN. If you're unsure if an action or skill check is rolled by you or GM, have a look at the list (particularly at the Actions and Skills sections).
If it is on that list, let me know what you're attempting to accomplish and I'll roll it.

My apologies all, it has been a rough day. I will post as soon as I can in the morning. <3

Why do both of Alric's attacks have the same bonus? Successive attacks usually impose a penalty.
Thank you Fel, I missed that.
Yes there is a multiple attack penalty when making several attacks
The 2nd attack is at a -5 while 3rd attacks and beyond are at -10.
If the weapon has the Agile Trait, which a Dagger does, these penalties are reduced to -4 and -8 respectively.

Sorry, I forgot to add (subtract?) it in. Teaches me to post first thing in the morning.
Just out of my own personal curiosity, how many here know (or at least suspect) where I got my GM name?
I'll give Elyana until tonight, then I'll bot her.

Okay, after careful review I have decided to go with the following house rule:
If you start your turn as Undetected, you can move up and attack an enemy that is out in the open and still get the benefits of being Undetected for the first attack you make.
I'm basing this off of the 'they don't know you're there and are surprised when you blitz them' concept.
Does that make sense to everyone?

Well, this fight is going badly. I'll likely wait until after work to get a post in. The real question right now is do I go out there or stay here.
The combat's finally over. I'm so sorry to everyone that it was much harder than anticipated. I'm going to award everyone another Hero Point. Everyone but Cardren should be full up. This should be the hardest fight barring any more horrible die rolls.

It's brutal but feels right for a group of kids getting into something like this.
BTW, I picked up the Critical Hit and Critical Fumble decks for PF2E. Would you all be agreeable to using these after the timeline has been advanced?

GM Scary Ceiling Voice wrote: BTW, I picked up the Critical Hit and Critical Fumble decks for PF2E. Would you all be agreeable to using these after the timeline has been advanced? I'm really not a fan of critical fumbles. They turn trained adventurers into clowns.

You know, normally the critical hits and fumbles might be a fun thing, but on this campaign my personal opinion is no. It is too brutal already. I don't want someone permanently crippled or insta-dead because of a bad roll. Especially when I am still learning the system, and I know I am going to make additional mistakes.

If I remember correctly, the severity of the fumbles/crits change depending on our level right? I'm usually against critical failures because it makes high-level fighters wield their weapons with butter but I'd be intrigued to see how it works here in PF2E since attacks work far more differently.
Would the Critical Hit effect be something that happens on top of the normal critical success or replace it entirely?
Severity is not level dependent.
As for the effects, it would be either the standard x2 damage (plus any trait effects the weapon has) or you could pull a card.
I could just implement the Critical Hit deck if you guys wish, and just make it for you the players on a Natural 20. No cards for enemies.

I’ve never played with a critical hit/failure deck, but I listen to the Glass Cannon Podcast so I’m familiar with the idea. Your suggestion GM Scary Ceiling Voice of giving the player a choice sounds fair.
These are for combat only, right? Not skill checks?

Heads Up -- I will be traveling/visiting with family starting November 18th through December 2.
Traveling days I won't be able to post (driving cross-country), and I am not sure whether I will have time while visiting with family, so please feel free to either bot my character or put her on ice in the meantime.
Apologies for the extended absence. I'll be on mostly normally till Wednesday, so if you have questions/requests before I go, let me know.

I'll have a proper post come tomorrow.
With the Prelude completed, you have all gained the Marked Soul trait. Please be sure to mark it down on your Character Sheet. Speaking of which, could I ask each of you to change the formatting on your character page to this or at least something similar? It will make it a little easier for me to find things if I have to look them up for Secret Rolls and such.
As stated before the timeline will jump ahead eight years. Please think about the following questions as you are leveling your characters and post your answers in the Discussion so I can add them to my notes.
1) What have you been doing for the past eight years?
2) Did you leave Swampwood?
2a) If so, what brought you back at this point eight years later?
3) Metagame question: Would you like to use the Critical Hit Deck only for Nat 20's for you the PC's or on any Critical Hit?

It'll take me a while to get things shifted over but will do. I can't recall what level we will be after this 8yr leap, or did we know that yet?
As for the rest I will work on it but it may be the weekend before I get to it. fortunately I have a general idea of what might have happened so it shouldn't be too bad.
*Edit*
Where do we find the Marked Soul trait.
Sorry forgot that part.
You will be level 2.
The Marked Soul trait is a homebrew trait that I created for this campaign. *Evil impish grin*
