My weekend was pretty awful, I'm afraid. My family has been going through some really difficult stuff that has only been exacerbated by the pandemic and my wife's grandmother dying. We've decided that I should be quarantined from my wife and her stepkids from this point forward as I am a significant health risk. So we went looking at apartments for them to move to for the next year.
Congratulations on your team's victory, Molech! It's always nice when the folks you're rooting for aren't the favored and yet they end up proving everyone wrong. Kudos!
Happy birthday Helikon! I am truly sorry you can't go to Mythodea. I used to do a lot of big destination larps back in the early days, and then got into lots of smaller parlour larps at gaming conventions here in California, so I have a strong sense of what you're missing. I hope they will allow you to redeem your tickets, maybe next year if things have improved?

Wow, Henrika -- going after me right out of the gate. Nice! I think it'll make for some good roleplay when the two of us realize we are on the same side of the political spectrum, rather than opposites.
BTW, I hope that we can keep up this tension; maybe from time to time I can whisper 'Dame Hotspur' under my breath at just the right moment, LOL.

Thanks. I figure you know that I'm not really a pvp player, and I don't expect our characters to have any lasting animosity, but Henrika has the Pride drawback and I decided that meant she had to establish some boundaries right away. Hope it's not concerning for you! :)
Oh, did Perdita introduce herself? I was figuring that her surname might cause some looks of surprise among those of us who have already been discussing our mutual enemies. ;)

Oh, I just said she gave the standard ‘greetings and salutations’ — typing “Perdita Vernisant” more than once in a post can look kinda redundant. And both I and Krios have acknowledged it in Gameplay thought, though neither verbally. So I think we’re both ready to let the roleplay evolve.
Perdita Vernisant
Yes, she is. It’s been my intention that it looks like a mundane amulet (the 200 gp non-magical Item that I got during character creation) rather than an obvious Holy Symbol. Something purely decorative. But I haven’t yet discussed that with the DM. (He mentioned in Recruitment that my Sarenrae angle may not even come up, then I discovered Disgraced Noble in the Player’s Companion. So I went with it unsure if it would disqualify my character application.) It’s up to him how plainly obvious or artistically disguised it is depending on if he wants to deal with it in game. (Or I could remove it; I’m not a Divine Caster, you know.)

I think we can enter with the Senate Aide badges; I'm just concerned that someone will ask what we're doing -- and if we don't have a ready answer....
But I dunno.
"It is nearly impossible to get inside the Senate before the party, and this is immediately apparent upon viewing the guards and other wards."
.
Hopefully your Local check of 30, and my Nobility check of 36 from earlier, will get us a good chunk of intelligence so that we can avoid going in blind.

Okay so I'm going to outlay the entire senate for you, as well as provide a list of all of the figures of import that will be available to be talked to/influenced.
I'll get that together and then you can tell me where you'd like to spend your time in the senate before certain events happen.
Gimme a bit and I'll have the senate description up for you guys.

Sounds like a great idea — I know that, for me at least, the more info I have the better I can move forward and suggest a possible gambit. I have no problem being patient while the DM puts together a large post or tab in the Profile for us to reference.
Henrika Karthis
I can see the map!
Countess Cassiopeia Zespire
Cassiopeia is trying to impress. If the skills are meant for find out opponents weak spot, she will use knowledge nobility instead. As know. nobility is 3 points higher, please add that to the dice roll to Impressum the leader of the pathfinders faction

LOL
With a roleplay heavy, deeply complicated set of NPCs set such as this AP is suppose to be -- and that our group hasn't really gotten to work as a group yet (and thus we're working a bit independently) -- I'm not surprised the DM is a bit slower in posting. ....The amount of information in conveying the setting there is likely daunting. Potential walls of text.
Krios Dinrulsis
Oh, most definitely. From a DM perspective, this scene is equally as awesome as it is a pain in the ass. I do not envy our fair, mighty, & glorious DM at all. There is no rush, only excitement.
I would be down for an Obsidian Portal page. It'd help keep track of NPC's, notes, all that. Let us do journals too, if we want.
Raven Nightshade
I'm up for an Obsidian Portal page. Its excellent for bookkeeping purposes and I think thats probably going to be useful in the long term with such an intrigue game with a variety of NPCs
Take care GM - dentist appointments can definitely be...uncomfortable!
Henrika Karthis
I'm doing okay, how are you doing?

This might be a good opportunity to recommend the Typio Form Recovery Chrome Extension, which records what you type in form fields and allows you to get it back with just a click. I can't tell you folks how many times it's saved me a ton of typing disappearing when I submit on this site.
Krios Dinrulsis
I am good, thank you. I've had an issue recently of my feet swelling so I've gotten compression socks and stepped up my exercise game to see if it could be because of circulation issues. It is a pain in the butt though, for sure.
@GM - It happens to the best of us. I've totally had written out a giant, well-thought out post and then it is just swallowed whole by the void. We'll be here when you post. I definitely agree with eriktd's suggestion; it is a super useful extension.

To make things a bit easier to reference -- and since y'all were amiable to the idea -- I started a Campaign on y Obsidian Portal Account for us to use however we may like to use it.
Here is the link.
It is "Taldan GM Paizo PbP: War for the Crown." All I've done is throw some stuff in the Wiki (Which is the function of Obsidian Portal I mostly use.)
Everyone can Edit the Campaign if they join -- if you want to be able to Edit send me a PM with your Email and I will send you an "Invite." Once you accept you can create and edit pages.
Perdita Vernisant
Our PCs have discussed -- sometimes off-screen -- our various tasks. (As I understand it.)
Do you guys, since we're kinda split up a bit, want to work on whichever task presents itself to us individually? Like, I happen to be near Duke Leonard Centimus and I can see myself coming up with some kind of gambit that may accomplish Cassiopeia's task. I also have an idea on stealing the 'Vampire-Slaying-Silver-Dagger' that would accomplish Henrika's task.
But I don't want to start any gambits unless it's okay with everyone -- except my own. What do y'all think?
Krios Dinrulsis
I am totally fine working bit by bit to help out each character with their associated tasks. I'm only helping Fezziwig next because ICly, it made sense; he helped me and had asked me personally for my help.
Like I put in my post, we could do "flashbacks" to meeting in the Emperor's Hall and congregating to discuss our plans and ideas. We're all fairly intelligent and crafty characters, we can come up with nefariously delightful plans altogether.
I'll shoot you my email address in a bit W.E., get in on this Obsidian Portal goodness.
Perdita Vernisant
Invite sent; you can create your account and Edit pages on the campaign at your leisure.
I’m just planning on using the Obsidian Portal as a handy reference — a place I can easily find an NPCs list, a ‘tasks’ list, that kind of thing. Now that we’re in the Senate building I’m finding it easier to just look at the Wiki rather than scrolling through Gameplay post. Obviously y’all’s mileage may vary. I’m just really used to Obsidian Portal wikis.
Henrika Karthis
I'm not sure if I did that correctly, I had thought I was supposed to case the joint in the first round and then enact plans in the next. Hopefully it's all okay the way I did it.
I realized after posting that we do have a list of items. So I guess Henrika will try to take the fan and eyeglass on her first pass, since being listed first I assume they are the most prominent.
Perdita Vernisant
You know those days where you’re hungry to post in your PbP but there’s no action? .... Well, Monday and Tuesday were the opposite days for me: long, exhausting days at work and in no frame of mind for PbB — so of course the action in Gameplay ramps up!
I’ll get to Gameplay later today; sorry for the delay.
Henrika Karthis
Glad to see you back! :)
