Coco grumbles as he disappears and Superior summoning: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 dretches appear in the garden. Vailis addresses them in Abyssal "You lot, move around the garden, there are some acid that is making my friends uncomfortable and you can easily survive to that"

Then back to Common "Nothing really immune but they are resistant enough to make the job"

With Kyra's direction, Vailis' summoned dretches run over the remaining two blast runes, showering them with acid.

Acide: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Skirting the garden, Ingrge arrives at the doors in time to point out the telltale signs of blood on the landing, the trails suggesting a number of bodies having been dragged inside the closed doors.

Jorgen finds the entry wall dimly lit by a burning fire to the left, stoked in the bronze basin off the floor. Nothing obvious jumps out to greet the party, but blood stains the floor.

Vailis detects no magical auras within the entry hall. Ingrge finds little else marring the stone floor besides the blood stains.

Well, someone had a bad day here...let's hope there are some survivors...and we can make the interlopers pay for their misdeed...


On Hiatus

Seeing nothing worth waiting for in the entry, Vailis sends his summoned minions through the double doors ahead. Two fireplaces struggle to illuminate this large room, but still manage to highlight a woven tapestry of gold and blue silk dominating the west wall. A couple of damaged tables and broken or overturned chairs fill most of the eastern half of the room. In the northeast corner stands a decorative clay urn, while another lies smashed to the south. Burnished copper-bound doors etched with hieroglyphs mark exits along every wall.

Dretch Will: 1d20 ⇒ 9

One of the dretches clutches at its head, fumbling about as a glyph appears over the doorway as they enter.

The first dretch is now effectively -4 to all d20 rolls.

"They are under my control. Spare the other two" the summoner points to the pots and urns "Be careful Jorgen, I think there are more traps in there, the exploded dretch was affected by something... the curse obviously marked him"

Still invisible, Vailis casts detect magic in order to detect any more symbols in the area.

I feel like we should retcon Adeah not shooting the dretch. If they were enemies we'd need to have rolled initiative anyways.

There it is, Adeah thinks to herself as she rushes to the doorway. Staying a safe distance from the closest cultist, she fires through Vailis' invisible form.

Adeah's bullet strikes true, causing the foe to turn towards the door. Seeing the Pathfinders packing the entry, he raises his skull pendant and unleashes a wave of negative energy!

The wave of negative energy destroys the red eyed dretch, even damaging the other enemies as they cry out not in pain, but exultation. As the man maneuvers to a better vantage against Jorgen, the remaining dretch savages his companion, clawing and biting through armor.

With the dretches defeated, Vailis brings a new foe to combat the evil clerics. The half-elf summons an augmented fiery dire lion to the fight "Fight the evil clerics!"

The lion starts attacking the cleric flanked with Kyra, his jaws and claws burn with powerful flames.

Kyra's blow does not manage to catch the enemy, deflecting off a ward of multicolored light, but the distraction allows Vailis' summon to easily shred into the man. Adeah's shot shatters the silver skull as the lion grabs hold of him, before he goes limp.
