I spent 10+ years of my life SELLING auto-parts. Which by NO means qualifies me as a mechanic.Heck these stupid new cars I cant even change the spark plugs in! (You cant get to them without special tools anymore. By design.)
I can barely change the oil.Give me a good old PRE-mid-80's model car! THOSE I can at least work on. A little. ;P
I don’t miss tune-ups, but I’m nostalgic when I think about them.
Believe it or not, my 2001 Ford Focus (two cars ago now) required periodic spark plug changes. Most cars had gotten away from that earlier.

And even if we DO live 'in' the urban core, even in my college town with delusions of grandeur, I still wouldn't want to rely on a bike to get me to and from work.
I'm 10 minutes from work (5 miles) MINIMUM driving time by car, with good weather and regular traffic.
I shudder to think how long it would take me by bike. (Although I would be in MUCH better shape!) ;P
There are a couple of teachers in my building that do ride their bikes regularly to work when weather permits. But I'm pretty sure they live closer than I do,...
(I hope so, cuz they're my age, so I can't blame me not riding on that,...) ;P

Anyway. I have been running on all cylinders lately
- Work is super busy
- I went back to the gym
- Im trying to spend time with the new woman
- Christmas is bearing down on me like a freight train full of iron spikes
- Impending governmental shutdown just to make things extra interesting...

Hm,... lets go down the list,...

>BETTER for you!
>Yikes! It's only chugging towards me like an empty freight train. ;P
>AND,... I hadn't even heard of this one. And my wife insists on watching a news channel for at least a few minutes several times a day. O_o
Wow. Take care man! (And everyone) :)

They compartmentalized this well. I had no idea this was going to drop. But it’ll be interesting. If the folks in the Bureau of Competition pull it off it will be as big as breaking up Ma Bell.
It’s still weird to me to see an attorney I’ve sat with and done work for leading the charge against MFing Facebook.

Odd sign of the year award goes to one I saw on the way to the bank today. This one was made of sticky letters (like you'd put on a mailbox, likely with a few missing) on white cardboard, and was a good ten feet up on a telephone pole. It's no "YARD SARD," but still perplexing:
BIRDS, BIRDS
YOU T JUNK
WE CAN TAKE IT

Interesting dream I had last night.
I was basically an NPC in an event where a Great Old One was manifesting in modern day. The GOO was named Odwalla (I know- it was an old sports drink. Don't know where my brain dredged that one up). But it was fascinating in the dream state feeling as if I was going insane by the effect of Odwalla manifesting. Everyone in the area was literally going stark raving berserk. I somehow managed to make a saving throw and throw off the effects after a time, but the immediate area (a generic city scene) was in complete chaos.
Very bizarre

I’m kinda sad that Dubs will be retiring soon. It’s my first long-term rogue character. One of the only ones I’ve ever gotten to top-tier levelage
The good news is that the slow pace of high level combat means my estimate for how long we need to finish the campaign was off. I now figure we are going to need a session on the 28th, rather than finishing on the 21st. So there is one more Sunday in store.

Too bad the Pathfinder stuff will take another decade to appreciate in value. I already have all of it in PDF form.
Probably around five years ago or so, I sold my copies of the Kingmaker AP and a couple others on eBay. I think I got around $200 for Kingmaker, and $150 for each of the other APs. Can't remember the exact amount, but it was enough to cover a month's rent.

Heh. I saw the offer and the finished product at the same time - I guess I didn't pay attention to the date stamps.

Yeah the APs are gone. They sold well. It’s the Rulebook that are a glut on the market. You can’t get your money out of them.

Jesus PbP is slow.
Still sometimes too fast for me... There's a reason I don't play IRL anymore. I'm worse at improv than Pickles.
