HAH!
Justin is indeed, getting into a pickle. Again. Always. ;P
I am safe, but will likely not return home til SUnday, due to lingering weather, flooded roads, and the fact the as of RIGHT now I know that my house has been without ppower for 3 hours+. (WHich is VERY unusual. We live on a hospital grid) ;P

My brother-in-law works at a restaurant that opened late last year. When they had to close because of COVID, the owner went out on a limb financially and bought food trucks so he could employ at least some of his kitchen people to cook and stock the truck and a couple of servers to sell off the truck. They've barely been scraping by, and the owner has made big sacrifices to keep his place running and staff paid.
One of my brother-in-law's coworkers has a roommate who just HAD to go out partying a week or two ago.
Roommate is sick. He and coworker both tested postive. Now my brother-in-law has to be tested. If he's positive, my sister has to be tested. The restaurant has to shut down for 2 weeks until everyone tests clear, and for longer if there is illness among the staff.
Nice going, roommate.
I may be irked.

I'm finishing up a long game of Skyrim and bought the house in Windhelm, finally, as part of a completionist effort. I bought the armory along with all the other furnishings.
Went in the house.
The armor mannequins are alive.
They don't walk around, but they sway back and forth, cross and uncross their arms, and turn bodies and heads to look at me.

Ugh. Live mannequins are a particularly scary horror trope to me. When I was young my dad bought me a blow up Red Sox baseball player. Just a guy with a bat, a bout a foot tall. One night I swore that thing came to life and was moving all around the top of my dresser. I spent the entire night terrified. I deflated that thing the next morning

What? Is that a mod or something?

Tried to capture some video for you, but W10 Game Bar is not working as advertised. I don't know how to do this stuff.
Apparently it is a known bug and can happen anywhere. The mannequins are all coded as NPCs with a condition that they are supposed to be immobile, but sometimes it breaks. I found reports of them actually walking around. That’s freaky as hell, especially in the Windhelm murder house.

It is. I was going to move my family there, but they've been through enough trauma. Besides, they put the kids' room right next to the secret slaughter room. Eurgh.
My mannequins in Ravenrock and Lakeview Manor usually pop forward 2-3 steps when they're alone, but they don't actually move while I'm watching them. This is new. One always folds his arms and kind of huffs at me like "Great, I'm a mannequin. Thanks."

UGH indeed. That's more like a TRIPLE -oof to my pocketbook. ;P
Of course, my wife's car needs a lot of work. 'Nothing drastic, thank goodness, a couple of broken -off outside door handles, (WHAT idiot ever thought making those out of PLASTIC was a good idea?!?)and an electronic switch or two. (WIndow switch, trunk release)
Nothing drastic, but because of labor involved, VERY $$$ pricey. :P
Yep. Only had the main door handle replaced so far. :P
Oi vey, as a guy who sold auto parts fro over 10 years. (My dad made me. Long story) THAT'S the worst part of owning a car. When your trying to decide which is worse, keep pouring $$$ into repairs, or get a 'new-er' car, and get one that could be better, or much worse, than the one you get rid of. :P
Um,.... Good luck buddy! :)

That's an annoying, though relatively common bug. If you're playing on PC or Xbox, there are a bunch of different patches you can download to fix it.
Honestly, though I'm surprised you were able to finish the quest that lets you buy the house-- a lot of the time, that quest just breaks and won't let you finish. I had to use console commands to force-complete it just to progress to the part where you can buy the house.

I’m at the unenviable point where my elderly car is failing. I can either shovel
Increasing amounts of money into it, or I can try to get a new(ish) car.Neither options is palatable
I was forced to deal with that one about four weeks ago. The subframe, front axle, and both control arms in my car failed. At the same time. While I was driving. One moment, things are going fine, the next, you're suddenly parked halfway on the sidewalk with no front wheels. I wasn't sure at the time, but I've since been told that you need those.

Despite working at a garage for 3 years (albeit as a janitor and night clerk), my level of automotive knowledge is permanently stuck at "Pakled."

LOL!
I spent 10+ years of my life SELLING auto-parts. Which by NO means qualifies me as a mechanic.Heck these stupid new cars I cant even change the spark plugs in! (You cant get to them without special tools anymore. By design.)
I can barely change the oil.
Give me a good old PRE-mid-80's model car! THOSE I can at least work on. A little. ;P
