Heading forward, you hear the sounds on more orge mutants. They're trying to understand why the conveyor--which brings material from the crusher--has stopped. It's obvious that they're fearful of something badder and more dangerous than them. (The "You Are Here" marker is updated. The group is headed towards area B17.)

"Shall we stay toward the left and we will eventually come across the next thing hell-bent on caving in my head. Option b is walk right down the middle leaving them nowhere to run."

At this point, six mana wastes mutants join the fracas. Superficially, they have the look of slaves. But the party instantly recognizes the glaze over their eyes--their will is not their own! They move to form a wall between the party and the retriever.
While they have generally humanoid features, their faces have been twisted into goatish caricatures, complete with horns and rectangular pupils. Their flesh is fused with heavy pieces of platinum in various places, different for each mutant; where one has metallic shoulders that jut a foot out on either side, another has plating covering half of her face. They move with eerie silence, and they maintain their composure with an strange grace--all the while keeping their veiled eyes on the party at all times.
As they approach, Theodric, Fandral, and the Professor can feel the effects of the mutants' distorted presence upon their psyches. This feeling is especially strong when the mutants look directly at someone. Thankfully, the Pathfinders stave off the effects--for now.

Obo hears the uttering of some divine necromancy roughly 50 to 60 feet away--partially obscured by a stalagmite. Then, a wave of negative energy fills part of the area. (Area of effect indicated on map.)
Professor: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
Theo: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
damage: 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (3, 1) + 11 = 15 <== Fandral, Professor, and Theo each take a mere 7 HP of damage.
Following the spell incantation is the very, very faint sounds of footsteps moving away.
stealth not including bonuses: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Obo cannot fail that spellcraft check
Be careful, whoever cast that possesses powerful divine magic
Obo quickly flies down, into the midst of the group, and weaves magic amongst them. I have hastened your limbs, I suggest you get off after them
Move and cast haste on everyone
When the spell went off did we have any chance to see who did the casting?

When the spell went off did we have any chance to see who did the casting?
Sure
Obo perception: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (15) + 32 = 47
You saw a humanoid--a tiefling--almost at the edge of your darkvision. Her fiendish features are very pronounced, even for a tiefling.
- From the text of the module: "Primal magic [...] is an optional (though highly recommended) subsystem that can be utilized in this adventure. It’s important to note that primal magic includes a large element of randomness, and is thus more likely to affect PCs than monsters and NPCs. The system is intended to make adventuring in a location like the Mana Wastes more fun, so if you feel the inclusion of primal magic in the adventure may adversely affect your players’ fun, feel free to omit it [...]"
- From the divine caster's statblock: "[...] she may roll d% twice when generating the result. She may pick which of the two results actually occurs. She gains a +2 bonus on all saving throws made to resist primal magic events or magical effects [...]"
I feel like it could be potentially awful to inject that much randomness into the encounter.

I agree with the GM; this add-on would be more cool if played F2F but would complicate PbP
"Thanks for the warning, Obo. In that case, would any of you be able to provide some healing before we run into this fight? If one of you can also protect me against evil, that would be much appreciated. Powerful evil priests can have nasty surprises, even for well-armed groups..."
Delaying on the off-chance that one of us can provide healing.

Fandral will advance on the tiefling like creature.
Have a movement of 60 thanks to haste. Will strike at him once if I can get adjacent. If I can not, I will double move to cut off any avenues of escape.
Point of panache for precise strike
attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (18) + 22 = 40
damage: 1d6 + 10 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 16 = 28
crit threat: 1d20 + 22 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 22 + 1 = 24 BOOO!
extra damage: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

Unfortunately, the tiefling started at 50 feet away, then moved away with stealth--taking advantage of bumps and large stones and other topological features common in the mine.
Fandral Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Happy to say that Fandral moves to where the tielfling was, in the hopes of finding her. Unfortunately, he subsequently loses track of her.
Even if we used your first roll from your previous post (18), rather than my roll (13), that would be insufficient to spot her.
