The party converges on the remaining zombie. It's spongy decayed flesh resists your stabs and crushing blows, but cuts and burn well. It cannot withstand your focused assault, and collapses to join its compatriots on the moldering floor.

You catch your breath in the aftermath of the battle, but the halls do not return to silence. Moans rise out of the darkness around you, reverberating off the walls and seemingly coming from all directions. In the echoing confines of the these tunnels, it is impossible to say how many more of the creatures lurk beyond your light.

You've got a few moments to plan your next move. There are a number of the other doors leaving this room. All are rickety and half broken, so getting past them is not a problem.

"Aye, but do we forge ahead or clear our backs? It would seem there's no real retreat but I do not care to face these things with more at my back. I suppose I best save energy for healing spells, care for another master Dwarf?"

I guess the question is, do we surge ahead and hope we don't get bogged down before we get to the "other side" or check the rooms behind first?

Kellan stows his crossbow and considers his mace but instead draws a dagger having seen the undead shrug off his bolt and crushing blows.

"Well, we can't stay here shipmates; the way up top is sealed tight. The right bastard must intend for us to die.
"So; we can rest here for a minute or so, but we need to press on and explore if'n we want to see the sun again."
Said Jon forthrightly.
"So. Which door first?" He asked, looking around.

Yup there are 5 doors in the room that you are currently in. Ultimately, the question is more about whether you search out the remaining enemies, or wait for them to come to you.

If no one comes up with a better plan, we'll go with door number four.

"Good as any other." He said.
Moving to the door he listened for anything beyond it.

Kultha sheathes her dagger retrieves her Chakram, wiping it off the fungal deader with a sneer.

"Let them come."

As Jon approaches the door, the huntress braces for the next assault... wherever it comes from..

After everyone gets in position, Jon jerks the door open from one side.

The room beyond is empty, another door on the opposite side is shattered allowing you to see that it leads to a corridor beyond, which turns out of sight. Map updated

At the same time, the rotten door on the western side of the room is knocked off its hinges revealing another of the slavering dead. Ukufa, on edge and ready for anything, lets loose with her chakram at the creature's appearance and the blade slams into the creature with a wet thunk.

As her chakram slices deep into another of the risen, Ukufa follows its path with deadly intent - moving quickly halt the creatures advance.

The lithe Jasdian barks a warning and draws her blade as she goes...;

"Ware the doors!"

... then cuts at the damaged creature;

Voronwe moves forward, getting in a position to help if he can find a way to be useful.

@Ukufa: You can see another zombie behind the one in front, but you are effectively preventing them from entering the room.

The badly injured zombie tries to bite Ukufa,

Kellan wordlessly raises an eyebrow at his Dwarf companion hoping for an answer... Want another CLW Bhru? I'll hold turn for the two martials as I assume there's only room for three to swing/stab at the door...

We made it to round 3/10 of combat so I'm not sure where Bless stands, any rounds left @GMF?

Is the zombie near Ukufa? If so my 30ft move would put me in range.. will roll in case the map zombie wasnt moved. If not will just do a move action.

Katigar follows behind Bhru and steps beside Ukufa, taking a swing as she does.

@Katigar: Ukufa stepped back to allow people to get in front of her, so there wasn't a zombie right besider her. What you can do, is set up a readied action, so if a zombie moves into range before your next turn, your readied action triggers, e.g. you attack it.

The wounded zombie steps after Ukufa, moving within Katigar's reach. Her axe strikes true and the zombie tumbles aside, nearly cleaved in two. The other zombie shuffles in after its fallen compatriot.

A moan from behind you draws your attention, and you see another zombie shuffle into a doorway.

Everyone is up.

Kellan silently curses to himself over his inaction; leaving him on the far side of the room from his companions and closest to the latest door crasher. Blood and ashes! Nothing for it but to try and burn another! He steps up to the newest zombie and pats it on the shoulder, once again attempting to extend his brand.

Jon snarled and stepped up to Katigar's zombie and took a two handed grip on his rapier. Not much in the way of slashing damage, but he did what he could.
rapier vs zombie: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 1 = 7 for a possible 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 damage.

Jon, you can't two-hand a rapier (or, at least, there's no mechanical effect). However, you do have a bunch of daggers on your sheet. Daggers do slashing (and piercing) damage. 1d4+x is much better than 1d6+x-5

Kellan sears flesh and Ukufa severs rotted tendon and muscle, spilling fetid entrails onto the floor. A vicious swing by Katigar splits the severely damaged undead in twain.

The zombie in the doorway shuffles towards Bhru, who misses his strike and another moan draws your attention to another zombie shuffling into view at the south-west doorway.

The party is up.

Swearing a blue streak, Jon just dodged being bitten and slashed back at the walker.

Then curses her own impatience as the gore slick weapon clatters off the nearby pillar.

Seething internally she draws her Masterwork dagger (Move Action)

As the zombie gets within distance Katigar sweeps her axe over head,

But it seems that Bhru's incompetence has worn off on her...

The party delivers a few slices to the wounded zombie, but not enough damage has been done to disable it.

Bite vs Katigar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

The wounded zombie misses Bhru, but the other bites of chunk out of Katigar. Fortunately, she is able to break free of its grasp before it can latch on to her.
