Mostly race options. I was enjoying the fluffy stuff, personally. For example some tinker gnome contraption suggestions: "A chain-driven tomato smasher that is also able to fly" because of course.

Urth, sorry I didnt want to commit to GM another game (I think 2 is my sweet spot), especially since I know nothing of the rules. I will dig through that source book and make a character for submission, however.


I’m liking it, too! Although I haven’t read very far yet.

I think I’ll be going with a githyanki awakened mystic with a big skill focus (maybe urchin background). The secret base he was being raised in was attacked, and he was one of the survivors who fled to a nearby city to live on the streets. I’ll have him statted up this weekend.

Just looked it up. Githerazi look pretty cool. Makes a perfect great martial casters. Ironically, if I were to make one he’d be a strength based arcane trickster rogue, using two short swords and medium armor from racial ability. Throw on some mithral halfplate and good to go.

Githyanki? Pretty amazing monks. Monastic Training with Psionics? If it wasn’t for their +1 Int they’d be pure win.

Poking around, and found Yuanti Pureblood.

Yep, they are crazy. I think all the Volo's monster races are a bit up there. In AL they get restricted by faction.

...looking it up just now Yuan-ti are Lord's Alliance for whatever f'ing crazy reason.

I'd like to play in a monster race 5e adventure sometime. I like the bugbear a lot.

Is it possible to get a +1 flaming maul?? Get rid of my +1 maul so I have the full 16 TP...the Flametongue is 10 tp, and that would leave me 6 tp.

Sure, I was sort of thinking you would redo inventory anyways. These TP rules are more generous than SKT has been. Its supposed to be a sword of some kind but whatever, guess it doesn't matter for this run.

Flame tongue is not enchanted with any to-hit, however. Also, to have both the +1 property and flame tongue would be 18 tp (prohibited).

So, sort of looking like either +1 or flame. Don't be too sad though, I guarantee you will find a delightful bashing thing somewheres.

Ok...testing out build. Seeing if I have all of the parts down.

Godric faces warrior X. Warrior X has Plate and a greatsword, so AC18.

(1) Godric uses bonus Action hexblade curse. Usable 1/short rest. +3 damage, 19-20 crit, heals 5hp if he kills warrior.
(2) Attack 2x

Hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

First one is a crit. 2d8 longsword damage. Smite, using warlock slot, recharged 1/short rest, for +2d8 radiant. Also using paladin lvl2 spell slot on non crit for +3d8 damage with second hit.

Crit: 2d8 + 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (8, 4) + (2, 2) + 9 = 25
Normal: 1d8 + 3d8 + 9 ⇒ (2) + (8, 3, 6) + 9 = 28

53 damage done. Used up his hex, Warlock slot, and 1 lvl2 paladin slot. Will require a short rest to keep that up.

So, in short....he can try to nova enemies, but only if he can safely catch his breath.
