"Here we have it" Ohrmizd smiles bringing up the silver mace and trusting Omari's bow to cover him up and hold the ghosts away out of learned punishment.

With a few hard hits on their base, the Keleshite collects the crystals and quickly makes it back to the group, handing the trophy for Jafar and Heshan to inspect "I think that is, let's make it back to the forge to see if our friend holds to his word"

Heshan retrieves the crystal from Ohrmizd with a smile. "Well done, my friend. A simple problem to an annoying solution."

He then focused his attention to the crystal to see what kind of magical properties may be within them.

Omari is more reluctant to leave the field, "I'd like to clear the rest of these undead monstrosities, but it's probably not worth the risk in an antimagic field. Well, we can put in on the bucket list if we can't figure a way out of Kakishon..." but he will come with Ohrmizd to join the others.

However, on the way out, he grabs the ghast corpse closest to the edge of the AM field and hauls it along by the ankle. Once outside the field (by 50 or so feet), he drops the corpse and says "Ready yourselves to travel my friends; I have a divination prepared to find the source of this infestation, and I believe we should clean out such a source of foulness. This spell will animate the former undead's eyeball to leads us to the undead creature’s most recent controller or the cause of the creature’s undeath."

Once everyone is ready to travel (assuming there are no objections of course), Omari will cast Carrion Compass on the remains of the ghast.

Corpses of people, as you say, should be taken care of in a fashion that does not endanger the community, but the faith does not have a command about what that is. Some folks bury them, others cremate them, some give them to the sea, and so forth. Here, there is no community to protect, otherwise I would have us digging graves to put the ghast remains in. As for the undead, they are generally considered a danger to the community, thus one does what one must to eliminate the source."

Omari ignores the wizard's chaffering about the simple, common sense, doctrines of the Stag Lord. Instead, he takes comfort in a job well done. Tomorrow they will go visit the Fireforge again to complete the bargain...

After a quiet night on the boat, a long walk to the volcano is due in the morning. As it is now known what to expect, Omari is prepared to protect the group from the heat with Erastil's magic.

This time the annoying haggling with the mephit i somitted and you can meet directly with Artel Norrin at his forge next to the molten stone. The Azer is happy to see that you brought some crystals. "Just enough for a two handed weapon. I need to ponder what to make with it."

True to his word, he hands over Zenzirad - a +1 fire outsider bane frost scimitar - to Ohrmizd. Also he offers three flasks of Ebon Flame.

"No weapon would be necessary for me," Heshan added. "I learned that it would not truly be to my strengths. But these flames can be useful for what we will be up against." He then turned towards the blacksmith. "Now what can we do to escape this plane?"

Ohrmizd takes one of the ebon flame flasks and stores it in his belt, handing the other two to someone else willing to use it "Thanks a lot master Norrin"

"There are maybe other questions where you can offer us some insight. Do you know anything about Xotani the Firebleeder, one of the monstrous Spawn of Rovagug, we heard Jhavhul was looking after this" the Keleshite explains.

Once this is answered, he goes with another question "There is another thing... do you know about Dilix Mahad from the Palace of Pleasure? We think she might be able to help us out of Kakishon, do you know about anything that might help us approach and ally with her?"

Heshan quickly stepped into the way in order to try and clear some things. "What my friend is trying to say is that we are frankly at a loss as to who to trust around here. It seems like the genies, shaitans and proteans all want us to get rid of one side or another. We did not want to take sides without knowing more about who we were talking to. Perhaps you could clarify for us?"

Samuel removes the armor plates of the golden ram that he stored in his backpack. He holds them up and says "Master Norrin, can you fit these plates into armor for that Elk over there?"

Khdedron doesn't have armor proficiency - he was getting away with using masterwork studded leather barding as it has 0 ACP. Barring special materials (mithril), that's about as good as it gets for him. If Norrin is willing to make armor for him, MWK Parade Armor Barding would also work and can be made of metal, unlike studded leather.

Once the party is back on the way to the ship, the Keleshite comments on the way forward "We have been delaying this decision, but we need to decide what stronghold we are attacking, the proteans or the shaitans. I would prefer to fight the shaitans, if only because the way they spoke with us I got the feeling of cruelty on their words."

But let us not have this dicussion here and now - I suspect the Proteans can watch us somehow, as they were able to detect our arrival and watched our pursuit of the Golden Ram. Rayhan, Heshan, Samuel, what could we do to protect our privacy to have such discussions? I can protect a discussion we have by writing."

I can pray for Obscure Object, cast it on a notebook, and then we can write in the book... and then tear out and burn the pages of the discussion before the spell expires (8 hrs). Does anyone have a better idea? I am sure the proteans can scry on us somehow...

Ohrmizd ponders this for a second "A cautious precaution. I would assume though if they see us doing such a thing they will assume we are considering the possibility of attacking them and would prepare anyway. Even if they don't, we cannot teleport to their home, and they will notice if we take the ship without fighting the shaitans first."

The Keleshite then changes to Kelish language "Are they even able to know other languages?"

On the way back to the ship, Omari will not be drawn into further conversation about the shaitan's and the proteans. Once we arrive he takes himself away to pray for 15 minutes (Prepares Obscure Object in an empty 3ed level slot)and comes back, his face somber. He borrows a notebook from Rayhan and prays over it (Casts Obscure Object on the notebook), and begins to write...

"Fix Dlix?" asks Ohrmizd a bit confused "Well, sure thing I am going to give her the chance to repent and convince her to tell us everything she knows" the Keleshite holds tight his scimitar and points to the Palace of Pleasures in the map.

The ship leaves the landing point and rows out on the sea in direction of Kakhishon the island. After a while of plowing through the waters you arrive at the pier.

After another hour climbing up the hills of the island you find the ruins of the Pleasure palace, but no sign of the earth genie or her entourage. The place is abandoned.

"Where are they? Either there is more to this complex than we know or they managed to escape. I see no other rational explanation."

Heshan, I think you're getting confused. It was Obherak, not Dilx, who was holding the protean prisoner; the pleasure-palace is where Dilx apparently used to hang out.

Second, folks, I suspect that Foxy wants to bring our explorations of Kakishon to a close; I'm guessing we've done most (if not all) of the stuff in the module; now we need to pick a side and fight...
