The goblin moves forward and throw one bomb towards the tree.
Alchemist's fire: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 +2 persistent fire +2 splash on the same square
Then he looks for the result before throwing the next one.

Drat. Forum at a late-night (for me) update post.
Yergi takes advantage of the tree's distraction to slip through its gaurd, though the swordsman's stroke misses. One of Anton's bolts sinks deep into the bark, though some of the damage is resisted.
Ukh lobs a bomb at the tree to great effect. Some of the creature's branches catch fire!

At Marra's words, the smoldering tree stands down, and retreats into the forest.
The soft green glow emanating from the bonsai tree on the ground increases in intensity. The light coalesces into a small humanoid figure with moss-like skin and a conical hat. The figure bows to you and says, "Thank you for returning me to my ward, and for quieting the spirits that have run wild in my grove while I was imprisoned."
"Please, take the prison with you when you leave. You will forever be welcome in my territory of the Forest of Spirits." Without another word, the spirit walks toward the forest, its form fading as it recedes from you.
From behind the group, the kitsune emerges, saying, "That was certainly something! I knew there was a spirit trapped in there. You were right: You made a much better end of that than I could. Here, you deserve a reward!"
He hands you a sack of treasure, then unstraps the katana he is wearing on his back and hands it over to you, with a bow.
After doing so, he quietly disappears into the woods.
With the stolen relic recovered and the spirit returned to its grove, you can lead the caravan safely along the remainder of the Spirit
Road into Minkai.
There you reunite with Amara Li and present her with the relic. She is relieved to see everyone returning safely, including Lin Po and Ti Lan. "Tell me," she says, "What caused the delay, and how were you able to resolve it?"

So there was one of those kami magically trapped in one of the artifacts. My best guess is it was influencing the forest keeping the Pathfinders trapped till it could be free. A fox-fella stole it from these two, jabs his thumb at Lin Po and Ti Lan while snickering but we got it back and was able to free the forest spirit
Looks at the rest of the party.
Did I leave out anything important?
Oh and here is my written report including all expenditures so that it is well documented for tax purposes
Ukh |
Oh he made a written report? really? Wahou. Next time he will also write one. That's class.
No, I think you reported the essential. The artifact in which it was trapped was the bonsai. Why the bonsai? we don't know.
Garad |
I imagined he was a mage and wanted to help the kami. But in fact he wasn't in position to rescue him. That's it.

Amara Li is rapt at your description of these events. "Of course all of these events must be recorded as part of the history of the relic. Li Po, I expect a full write-up!"
The cheery man's face falls a little in mock disappointment, "No! Not paperwork!" But then he smiles and give a little bow to acknowledge the request.
End of Scenario!
You completed your primary and secondary success conditions for the adventure. Nice work! I'll have my paperwork done soon and I'll post a link for your chronicle sheets.

Hey All!
Here are your Chronicle Sheets.
Let me know if there is a problem with them. Thanks for a fun game!
Our game has been reported to the organizers, but sometimes they don't put them through to Paizo until the convention is over, so don't be alarmed if it doesn't show up for a while.
