Honey Wasp |

Honey attempts her daze spell again. "I don't want to hurt you, bear, but this needs to stop."
Will DC 17
Honey also tries to analyze the situation and see if there is something specific that is causing the bear's rage.
Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 18
I'm not sure what would best apply, if anything. I'm thinking: Perception (+3) if there is anything in the wagon; or Medicine (+0) if it has some kind of wound; or Nature (+0) if it is afflicted by something. Or maybe it's just angry for being couped up in a wagon.

'Hush' |

Hush focuses on the walls she created with her force of will and pushes against them, expanding their area. Sustain. Everyone within 15ft of Hush gets +1 AC
Hush's eye widen and she sticks her arms out, looking like she's balancing on something really slippery! She looks at the bear, grins comically, and kicks her leg at the bear, like a child kicking water out of a puddle. With a wet SPLOOSH the ground beneath the bear becomes slick and greasy!
Sustain. Then casting grease on the wagon's floor in the four spaces the bear is occupying. My spell DC is 17.

GM XaveTheNerd |

No worries! I've had a rough week myself.
Finn feints the bear, and as it moves off to the left, the bear moves itself into the knife and yowls in pain. As he goes to attack again, though, the bear continues to fall a bit from the feint and both the bear and the halfling stumble into the side of the wagon instead.
Will vs Daze: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 OOF!
Honey casts a spell at the bear, but the bear seems completely unaffected by the spell. Honey then tries to identify what's up with the bear. She can't determine much, other than that it seems to have been angered by something (or someone) else, and is lashing out at the Ringmasters specifically.
Ref vs Grease: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Okay. Okay. What. No. Dice roller!
Hush coats the ground of the wagon in grease, but again the bear seems to completely ignore the effect.
P'oxtan throws not one, not two, but three individual claw attacks at the bear, but none of them manage to pierce the bear's hide. Had grease worked, though...
The bear then lashes out at Finn, as he was the last one to hurt it.

(Stating this both out of the spoiler and in it to avoid confusion:) Brief request from Honey for guidance if you can spare the actions after I get healed.

She desperately looks around. "Where are the other troupe members? I saw them coming."
Honey casts heal followed by guidance on Finn. "Calistria protect him."

'Hush' |

Hush purses his lips as she pushes her magical wall further outward. Everyone within 15 ft of Hush gets +1 AC. She eyes the bear. Over P'oxtan's shoulder, to the left of Finn's head, below the wagon's lintel... She doesn't have a good shot -- she knows she doesn't -- but Finn nearly died. She had to try.
Hush focuses on a nearby rock. She mimics throwing a rock at the bear, looks at the rock, points at the bear, and shakes in silent laughter. The rock flies through the air at the bear.

Finn buries his tiny face in his just-as-tiny hands.

Honey brings P'oxtan back to consciousness.
Finn throws an axe near the bear. He was off by a few feet by the time it got close.

Foot's looking much better than last week. I...don't know what got into him. He lost his master a few months ago, but he's been pretty docile since."
Now what?

Honey Wasp |

Honey addresses Elizia. "You know this bear? Does it have a name? I don't recall seeing it around. What happened to his master? It wouldn't happen to be the Great Fortunato, would it? Thunder had a cape of his in the wagon."
"And you say the bear's been docile? We wouldn't know it from this encounter. The four of us were nearly killed. I'm glad it will survive though. I didn't want to hurt it, but I had no choice. I'll try to make amends when it wakes up."
To her party, "Is everyone else okay? I have no more power to heal your wounds today so we'll need to proceed with caution. We should look in the wagon and see if something in there riled the bear up."
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Honey cautiously steps around the downed bear and enters the wagon to look around. Not with that roll...
"Anyone want to help me look? I'm still pretty shaken up from this encounter, I can't focus."

Finn lets out an exasperated sigh as the bear falls unconscious and lets the knife fall out of his grasp. ”Hey Millie? Can I see your first aid kit?” Because I’m a dipstick that forgot to get healer’s tools (and we have the same Medicine bonus).
Assuming Hush complies: Finn pulls out the bandages and starts fixing what few scratches the iruxi has left before moving on to his own. Meanwhile he walks over to the bear. ”Okay, let’s address the elephant in the room—or rather the bear in the wagon,” The halfling looks at Elizia, able to actually see eye-to-eye with her (literally) as she kneels down to check on the bear. ”WHY IS THERE A BEAR IN THE WAGON?!” Finn’s voice houses a combination of frustration and exhaustion.

"Packs of rats, unnatural snake attacks, and Bardolph goes berserk..." Hush remarks suddenly, then falls into silence. "If someone's controlling the animals they could be an animal trainer or a druid. Has the circus any enemies like that? Or Thunder?"
If no one's around she goes to find the Professor and ask him.

Finn and Honey are convinced there's nothing in this wagon aside from some smelly bear droppings.
The Professor emerges from the now growing crowd to answer Hush's question (and Finns, but he addresses the more civilized Hush)
"The bear is still around in the wagon because Thunder didn't want to get rid of it. Bardolph and The Great Fortunado were an important part of how we got started. I guess it was a sentimentality that kept the bear. But, he's well trained, and he's never attacked others before today."
---
From the southeast circle of wagons comes a small-but-disgruntled sound. "Fine I'll do it myself"
Suddenly, the sound of rustling leaves and plants assault the ears of the Circus of Wayward Wonders, sounding almost like a torrential rain in the morning sun. Hundreds of red-eyed rats scurry about the foliage in trees before conglomerating around a point that seems to be quickly approaching the Ringmasters. The rats surround a halfling woman wearing a headdress in the shape of a rat's head, it's open mouth framing her face.
"Isn't this a pretty sight," she cackles, twisting her grip on a gnarled staff. "I had hoped to murder more of you while the whole town was watching. That would have frightened them away from here for good! But a bigger slaughter might be even better; the foolish farmers and poisoners of Abberton will discover your rat-chewed corpses. No one will know how it happened, but everyone will whisper that nature is finally taking its revenge. And it is, through me! I'll wager most of the town will be gone in a week, and the rest will fall easily. Then, perhaps, the land can heal from the cancer known as Abberton."
She doesn't make any hostile moves, but I will remind you that you cannot personally do anything hostile (including drawing weapons or casting spells) without also being in initiative. She's willing to talk for a moment, it seems.
Also, map updated. Picture included in the slides.

Finn listens to the old crone’s evil monologue and the gears in his head start turning.
Sunova...!
Finn Steps out from the bear’s wagon in a professional-looking pose with his hands behind his back—more to conceal the throwing knives he already had in hand I said that I was searching the wagon with them already in hand!. He is slightly caught off-guard when he sees the woman is a halfling, but he slowly moves forward toward the old hag.
”What are you talking about? ‘Poisoners’? We’re simple circus folk. We work with animals ourselves. We didn’t do anything to you, Miss...eh...whoever-you-are. Sorry, I didn’t catch a name.”
Finn tries to speak rationally in an attempt to goad her into monologuing more, when in truth he plans on chucking one of his daggers right at her once he gets close enough. Admittedly, this is my attempt to roll Deception for Initiative.

GM XaveTheNerd |

"Murderer!? Me!? Can't be worse than what this town has done to the nearby forests." the halfling shouts back. "The lot of you are all poisoners! "Where do you think you are going?! I want to hear more about this Hermitage."
Honey follows the halfling around the corner and wacks her over the head with her staff. Smack!

Hush moves over to P'oxtan, pulls out her healing potion, and feeds it to him.

Finn yelps unsuccessfully as the halflings eyes stay laser locked on Honey Wasp. He then fails to throw a juggling club at her.
Honey rushes over to the halfling, staff in hand and knocks Nemmia to the ground with a solid whack. She continues beating until Nemmia's body stops moving. Hooray for non-lethal!
Out of initiative
Well.....now what?
