Mylvwara calls out to her allies, "The blue creature has strengthened its armour with a spell. The other tried to prevent me from acting."
The bow and casting thing was just flavour, those actions will actually happen this round, unless I get to act in the surprise round.
Mylvwara readies her bow and casts true strike.

Mun summons Ashava's aid, sending her strength into Selune with a slap on the back of the bear's head, that also tells Selune to charge into battle. The elf immediately follows in his bear's wake, readying his longspear, as the bear lunges forward.

GM Fuzzfoot |

@Mylvwara - We didn't really have a surprise round, as you became aware of each other about the same time. But I will count that as your Round 1 action, so you can still act in round 2. I just assumed you had started a full round spell...
Round 2: (Bold may act)
Dekion
Mylvwara (truestrike)
Mun (bull’s strength) and Selune (prot from evil, bull’s strength)
Zarnel (veil of heaven)
Eldon

Red, Blue
Fast bear! Anyway, for those that may have been concerned, the bear had no problems going across the bridge.

Dekion drops his sword then pulls out his bow and fires on the creature on his left. "Going to need to get some special arrows it looks like," he thinks to himself while nocking the arrow. Sorry folks, seems I am not prepared for this. Need to work on my equipment more.

With a triumphant shout, Shevar Besnik’s voice rings out. “Pathfinders! Together we’ve cleared the remaining wards from the stairway. And together, we’ve beaten back most of the monsters these Catacombs had to throw at us. Who wants to go deeper? I’m sure it’s just as bright and cheery as up here!” The way to the Silent Shrine is clear!
GMs, area C is now open.

Zarnel rushes across the bridge, not wanting to get trapped in a bottleneck. But given where the demons, Selune and the others are, he starts a swing around the pillars to cut off any escape these Evil things may try.

**OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT**
Back at the caravan of goods following the expedition, Sheila Heidmarch speaks. “It’s time to resupply the front line,” she says to the Pathfinders on caravan duty. “There’s no telling what they’ll face next, and...” Her announcement is cut short as the wall buckles. A towering colossus emerges from the wall, blocking the path ahead. “... and we need to deal with this thing first!” Pathfinders from the caravan fire a barrage of arrows and spells at the creature, but they bounce off its tough exterior. “We’ll need strength to crack its defenses!” Players, you can send your Muscle Aid Characters on this mission.
GMs, please begin the Aid Mission (Muscle) when you reach a good point to do so.

GM Fuzzfoot |

OK, aid missions for muscle can roll, if they choose (I see one in discussion already)
Dekion's arror hits, but barely seems to register. Eldon's arrow, howwever, sizzles as it strikes, while Mylvwara's arrow practically explodes on impact, definitely causing some pain!
With so many foes closing in, the creatures take flight (AoO opportunities for bear). Both fly around the statues, and about 20 feet up - near the vaulted ceiliing. The red cases a spell like the other did before (mage armor), while blue casts and turns invisible.

Mylvwara casts See Invisibility on herself and moves forward toward the bridge.
She calls out to the others, describing the location of any invisible creatures.

Zarnel moves further into the back of the room as he watches the the demon rise into the air. He draws a javelin and hurls it will all his might.

But it seems he put a bit too much power into the throw.

Just waiting on Mun for action and for Aid Mission, if he chooses. Will give him a few more hours (until my morning)
Eldon is the only one that hits a target this round, but the arrow hits with a satisfying, thud and sizzle.

Selune snaps at the demon mage as it begins flying away, getting a bit more than just robes, but finds nothing else much to do. She runs around the base of the statue looking for a way to get at it, and finally just begins climbing after it!
Double move: 15' on ground then 15' up (60' at quarter speed)

Mun curses when the demons begin flying. He drops his longspear as he continues running forward, drawing his longbow at the same time. GM Fuzzfoot |

I am not sure you have a line of sight on either of them from your current position, but let's play along. Red is invisible, but you did see him turn invisible, so you have a 50% miss chance due to concealment.
50% Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 65
It hits, as you can see as it bounces off something invisible.
Unfortunately, none of your damage got past DR and resistances.
Blue likewise casts a spell and turns invisible.
I am going to remove the icons from the map even though Mylvwara can see them, because no one else knows where they are. So don't peek at her spoiler!
Round 4: (Bold may act)
Dekion

Zarnel (veil of heaven)

![]() |

I misunderstood which was invisible; the statblock said that blue was invisible and red not.... Selune would have chased the blue one if it was the visible one, so please adjust her to an appropriate climb position on the other statue if that's the case. Mun also would have shot at the visible one.

Eldon damage was not computed in the counter!
"Damn! Where is it now?!" having just a few more silver arrows, Eldon attempts to avoid miss using them. Instead of trying his luck through the air, perhaps knowing general direction thanks Mylwara, but not the exact spot or distance, Eldon instead readies an action to shot at the first daemon to break invisibility and come into sight.
Readied attack: +1 composite longbow: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Silver/Magic/Piercing damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Mylvwara calls out, "Blue is 15ft south of the west statue."
Sorry, Fuzzfoot, I don't understand your directions for red.
Mylvwara also accurately describes the location of red, describing its height, direction of travel, velocity and location with regard to 3+ points of reference.
Unwilling to put up with these shenanigans, Mylvwara casts glitterdust over the blue daemon.

![]() |

"'See No Evil' isn't meant to be literal," Zarnel grumbles as the demons fly away and turn invisible. But then he nods to Mylvwara in thanks as she makes the one closest to him sparkle in the dim light.
Ammentum: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Not that it helps much. Out of things to throw, he steps a little closer and places both hands on the hilt of his greatsword. Just in case one decides to close the distance.
Move action to draw the thrown weapon, standard to throw it, then 5' step.

Not being able to see either creature, Dekion readies his bow to attack the first one that becomes visible. I'm assuming that would include blue after Mylvwara's spell. I'll move as needed to get a shot.

Save vs blinding: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
OK, a lot going on here. First, I totally missed the bear's attack, and I did indeed confuse which was previously invisible, which also means that red should not have moved as far as he did, and Blue could have moved further. Mun's attack was not effective anyway, but had he shot at Red, the statue was providing cover as well - both foes were behind statues at the time he made the shot.
Selune bit red with the AoO, and caused 5 damage. Also added Eldon's arrow damage which I noted but didn't update the block before.
So, current situation is:
Selune the bear is 15' up the one statue.
Red is invisible and only Mylvwara sees it. (New position due to single move only last round)
Blue is visible by glitterdust, 15' away from statue and 20' in air.
Dekion and Eldon both have arrows ready as the blue one gets covered in glitterdust. Each fires and hits the floating creature. (5 dmg from Dekion, 3 from Eldon) Zarnel tries a thrown weapon, but misses, and then steps closer as Broker readies his response to any attack.
Round 4: (Bold may act)
Dekion
Mylvwara (See Invisibility)
Mun (bull’s strength) and Selune (prot from evil, bull’s strength)
Zarnel (veil of heaven)
Eldon
Broker (readied attack)
Red (41 dmg, mage armor, invisible), Blue (27 dmg, mage armor, invisible, glittered)

You finish off the second daemond with a couple of well placed arrows by Eldon and Dekion.
Moving on down the hall, you find stairs leading deeper.
The silence of this room is pervasive, pressing in on the ears of anyone entering. Broad stairways to the east and west lead to landings with statues of terrifying gods of death.
