I try to play Ilathor as a utility arcane caster with crowd control. He has many tools to bring to the table, it's just a matter of the scenario cooperating and giving him problems his tools can solve ;) With only second level spells, this typically means he tries to Web the enemies then uses Magic Missile to soften them up/finish them off in combat. Out of combat, he has quite a few scrolls, wands, and other spells to try out.
Topic 1
Looking at our tier math, we are at a 4.5 APL, which means we get to choose if that rounds up to a 5 or down to a 4. Frankly, I am a bit of a glutton for punishment, and like to play up when I can. If I understand the rules correctly, we have the choice of playing the 3-4 subtier without adjustment, or the 6-7 subtier with the four player adjustment.
I'd like to do the 6-7 with the four player adjustment. How does everyone else feel about this?

Aeliah, I have a feeling that with our current character spread, we'll need a little bit of the blaster and a little bit of the summoner! We are a little light on beef and damage, I have a feeling that your flexibility is going to be key to our success. Throwing another body on the map and then blasting for a round or two is a mighty strong combo you've got there!

For the record, I figured that at APL 4.5, the party would choose the play in the low tier. Technically, you have the option to play the 6-7 tier if you would rather. Still plenty of game left if that's what you would like to do.

DnG, I fully understand the frustration about posting taking forever. I have the same problem, on both sides of the screen. Any time I hear someone say that posting isn't hard and only takes 10-15 minutes, I have to refrain from just responding with "HOW???"

Agreed. With all the moving parts, I don't know how some people knock it out that quickly. I have had posts take over 45 minutes. And I have learned the hard way to "Copy All" before posting. Nothing in my gaming life is nearly as frustrating and rage inducing as losing a post. Especially as a GM when other players are counting on you.
