Iffelby flits into the throng of commuters passing through the station - a strange shimmer comes over the bird as it transforms into an Imp - gives you a grin, a salute, a 'so long' and then vanishes into the crowd.

You eventually arrive back to Arvin "So, tell me, what did you find?"

I never did trust that bird.

Kippi kicks her back legs through the air, visibly embarrassed. "Uh, I guess we found an imp straight from the swampy layer of hell and brought it back to Absalom Station. Oops!"

"Oh, and we found ALL THIS" She slaps the eject button on her null space chamber and it disgorges a swampy wave of treasures and artifacts. "It was all on that chunk of swamp in the Drift. Pretty neat, right?"

"All this was sitting in a swamp?" Arvin looks at the pile incredulously.

"Mostly! Some was also in a creepy house." She hands Arvin a globe. "Feel that goopiness? That's authentic hell swamp ooze!"

Arvin is shocked and intrigued by the harrowing tale, "I wonder if the spoils will be worth the potential repercussions of angering the mysterious ‘Duke’ and the Devil’s Talon". Arvin ponders for a moment then shakes his head, you have no need
to worry—although you should get cleaned up. I think I'm going to take you for a complimentary trip to the spa to thoroughly wash away the lingering stench - and experience -of the infernal bog, followed by a fancy dinner"[/b]

"The Talon will be giving us clout every time they scowl at the memory of their defeat," Zapp proclaims. "As for the Duke..." Unable to think of a boast, he instead lapses into silence and a bit of thousand-yard stare.

"Still! Those old texts we recovered should be well worth it. I didn't end up reading them, of course, but our data jockeys can determine how many more spa trips they'll earn us."

"By Anggradd's angry beard!" Darakwinn curses as the imp bird disappears into the crowd. She's pleased that it wasn't actually the Duke, though. When he was gone from the picture, she suspected that might have been what happened.

"Yes, there was a chunk of a Hell duke's palace and the adjacent swamp floating in there. All this stuff...and the original picture, apparently, came from there."

She pauses..."Sort of makes you wonder what happens when somebody on the other side of the universe slips into the Drift and a chunk of Absalom station gets sucked in, too."

She seems all to ready for a spa day and getting hell mud off of her.
