Unset takes the worst of the spiritual attack.
persistent spirit: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5) = 7
Unset can make a flat check to see if it wears off
Unset's first attack is a crit! The second fails to hit.
Prism's last attack should hit the earthern xulgath, but seems to do no damage. Its physical resistance exceeds your damage. You don't have a way to do sneak attack on it right now, I don't think.
Kennari avoids some of the spirit damage and tries to freeze the clay!
Reflex: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18
Very effectively!
Blue moves over to Unset in a skirmishing fashion.
scimitar: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
skirmishing ouch!: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 plus precision: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6) = 12
Yellow steps, then skirmishing steps to get Unset in a flank.

skirmishing ouch!: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 plus precision: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4) = 11

Niksi's Will save: 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 16 + 1 = 36
Niksi avoids the worst of the spirit attack. She steps out of the clay creature's reach, moves back more, and keeps everyone inspired.
Rova has a terrible vision of her arrow going wide and corrects to a hit! The creature resists some of the physical and spell damage.
Thkrull doesn't hit the creature, who looks too much like the ground.

Failure The target is impaled through a leg or another non-vital body part. The creature takes full damage and, if it's standing on solid ground, becomes immobilized. It can attempt to Escape (vs. the spell DC). While it remains impaled, it takes damage from any weakness to cold iron it has at the end of each of its turns.

Kennari Gleyminn |

I think you may have missed that you were grabbed, Prism
Kennari, concentrating for a moment to shape his magic a little further than normal, zaps the two foes again!
◆Reach Spell, ◆◆Cast electric arc.
Electricity damage: 6d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 4, 1, 3) = 16
DC 29 basic Reflex

Unset |

Seeing Prism seemingly in trouble, Unset rushes to the gnome's aid!
Stride
Melee striking fist (magical, nonlethal, agile, finesse) v Stoneliege xulgath: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (6) + 19 = 25
Damage B +1d6 So: 2d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 6 + (5) = 20
Melee striking fist (magical, nonlethal, agile, finesse) v Stoneliege xulgath: 1d20 + 19 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 19 - 4 = 17
Damage B +1d6 So: 2d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 + (6) = 22
Or, at least, attempts to help.

Corkas 'Prism' Warfiz |

I did. I read it and completely brainfarted it when posting. Moved token back and the grabbee will slice up the grabber.

GM Kate |

Unset runs in to help Prism! (We'll run Gang-up the Remaster way, so Unset also benefits.) He just gets a hit in!
Prism attacks the creature grappling her! She makes it worth it with a hit and a crit, taking the stoneliege down!
Kennari zaps the remaining xulgath!
Reflex: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
Who falls down!
You are out of combat!
Assuming you head into their yurt to recover out of sight of the patrolling construct, you also find some treasure: a baton made of obsidian and onyx worth 95 gp, a chrysoberyl worth 95 gp, a greater juggernaut mutagen, and a moderate elixir of life.

Rova Moonbright |

Rova quickly treats Thkrull's wounds before turning to her companions and quickly bandaging the assorts cuts and other pains from the fight.
"It looks like the xulgaths still have bad intentions here," she says. "We probably need to get in there quickly!"

Corkas 'Prism' Warfiz |

Prism nods. "You're right. Apparently Dusklight wasn't the one organizing them all." SHe helps hold some of the bandages so Rova can get them around the wounds.

GM Kate |

Once you are healed, you head up to the terrace, which is empty. You can see scratches on the wall where someone was doing calculations about the orb's height.
There is also a message in Draconic:

Kennari Gleyminn |

"Just a moment" Kennari says, reading the message. "Someone has put a warning here about ghosts within."

Unset |

Rova freezes, looking around to see if she can see any ghosts. "Maybe they'll be friendly ghosts?" she suggests.
"Unlikely, ole Unset thinks, dear Rova," Unset notes. "Rarely are warnin's giv'n o' friendly ghosts."
Prism creaks the door open and whispers, mostly to herself. "Casper?"
"Expectin' treasure, are ye?" The fleshforged man asks of Prism as he takes up a postion behind her. As the door opens, he peers over the gnome's shoulder, ready to pull her away to safety should some hostile spirit appear.

GM Kate |

You peer into the hallway, but even those of you with darkvision can't see. Kennari and Niksi easily determine that there is magic involved here.

Kennari Gleyminn |

"Hm, I can try" Kennari says, drawing a small device shaped vaguely like a compass, with a gemstone embedded in the center. Muttering a command, the device lights up with a magical glow, which he holds out toward the darkness.
Only a 1st-rank light spell from a wayfinder. Maybe Niksi has something better.

GM Kate |

The light spell does not penetrate the darkness.
Going on in, or is there anything else you want to try?

Corkas 'Prism' Warfiz |

Prism looks at Kennari. "Doesn't seem to have worked..." SHe gulps nervously before heading into the darkness. "No other choice."

Kennari Gleyminn |

"Hm, just a moment. Let me try some more potent magic." Kennari will focus for a moment, then weaves a cancelling spell. Casting dispel magic (5th).
Counteract check: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (10) + 19 = 29

GM Kate |

The darkness suddenly blinks out as Kennari casts powerful dispelling magic, and two ghostly dwarves appear very surprised!
A stone table against the north wall has several clay tablets upon it; nearby, a shelf holds several large, stone hands. The loose hands shake and clatter on the table as the ghosts get angrier!
Yellow Ghost: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Red Ghost: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 37
Perception, Rova: 1d20 + 18 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 18 + 1 = 29
Stealth, Corkas: 1d20 + 20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 20 + 2 = 31
Perception, Niksi: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 14 + 1 = 17
Perception, Unset: 1d20 + 15 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 15 + 1 = 19
Perception, Kennari: 1d20 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 13 + 1 = 27
One of the ghosts moves in front of you and lets loose with a wave of freezing cold energy!
cone of cold: 10d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 5, 4, 6, 5, 6, 3, 4) = 45, DC 29 basic Reflex[/dice]
Initiative!
Red Ghost
Prism
Rova
Kennari
Yellow Ghost
Unset
Niksi
Prism, Rova, and Kennari are up!

GM Kate |

Oh, I didn't add it to the tracker, but everyone will need to save against the cone of cold. Niksi generally maintains inspire defense going into combats, so you can assume you have the bonus from that spell.[/ooc]
