I can be flexible, though one of my characters might not be done with games day adventuring by next week. I have a couple level 2's, and a level 3 envoy.
@ Gil-Oloth - You've got a spot.
@ Mobius - There is connection. Both have events that take place on Salvation's End for one.
@ Quirk - I, too, can be flexible and am find pushing the October 22nd projected start date back if we need more time to bring PCs to the table.
I believe my gameday scenario is just wrapping up so I would be interested joining this scenario if there is still room available.
I would, however, also be playing an exo mechanic. If that didn't work out well as far as party balancing I understand.
My mechanic would be 2nd level for the start of the scenario.

Thanks for having me! I need to update the profile, because this guy is now level 2. Want to do one more once-over of the character, since it's my last chance to do a level 1 rebuild if there's anything I want to change around.
I am fine with playing up. I never turn down an opportunity for more credits and access to better equipment. ;)

I should be ready for Tuesday, as long as everyone else is. I'm good either way. Just waiting for my chronicle sheet from gameday now to copy/paste my characters second level to my profile.
It's looking like I will go with a level 2 Mystic. I would have loved to use one of my level 3's, but it looks like their game day adventuring is going to go late into the week.
Looks like the preference is to play up. I am not opposed to delaying the start another week if it allows everyone to play the PCs they'd prefer. Depending on party choices/rolls, the scenario can play pretty quickly. Also, I try to keep things moving with an expectation of 1-2 posts per day.
Once you settle on a PC, please "dot and delete" in the Gameplay thread.
Made a little mistake thinking my mystic was going to level up. This will only be my 2nd experience point, so I'm joining Ashtif at level one. Hopefully my healing abilities and a nice piece of gear or two will help me. Dotting in as Brookwillow momentarily.
@ All - A slight delay. We now have a concrete start date of Friday 10/25 so to free up Brookwillow up from the Starfinder Special, which is expected to conclude sometime on 10/23.

Thank you. Please note that we are basically done, though I won't get my chronicle sheet until probably tomorrow. As I noted, I'll still be only first level, which is fine. I'll just have to keep my head down and keep healing people and making mysticism rolls.
Only loose end is buying Brook a couple of pieces of gear before we head off to this strange moon. . . .
I'm away with work noon Sydney time tomorrow (Thurs) for a few days, back on Sunday night.
I may be able to post on my phone if we pass an area with reception but we're running around out in the sticks a lot at the back of nowhere.

Got a decision to make. My chronicle sheet I just got from The Scoured Stars Invasion can either give me an extra XP, thus leveling up Brookwillow, or I can use it on a new first level character later to start him at 2nd level (tempting for the biohacker I hope to create when I have the new book in a few weeks).
I'll let you know if I decide to level up.
Leaning toward saving it for when the new book arrives.
Looks like PCs selections are final (or close) now that the special wrapped yesterday. APL appears to be 2.5, which means the majority of players chooses which subtier in which to play.
I plan to get the briefing up by late tomorrow morning, early afternoon, US East Coast time. Will try to have the VC answer any questions over the weekend so that boons can be slotted Monday-ish and we will then dive right in.
GM ROLLS, BOTTING, AND DELAY
I request that players do their best to try to post frequently (a minimum of once per weekday and, at least once, over the weekend). This adventure provides many opportunities for roleplaying which, due to the nature of PbP, can draw out playtime for a scenario. If we are able to stick to the requested posting frequency (even with some expected slow downs as noted below), we should be able to conclude by mid-December. I will do my best to keep things moving.
I understand that real life has a habit of ruining scheduled game time. Nevertheless, please leave a post in advance if you know that you are likely to have limited time/ability to post for a period of time. For instance, I will be attending a convention on November 1-2 and will most likely not be posting those two days. Also, my family is traveling over the US Thanksgiving holiday. Arrangements have not been locked down, but I expect to have limited post between November 27th and December 2nd.
I will generally roll Initiative and any necessary saves in order to keep things moving. My goal is complete a single round of combat within a 24 hour period.
When in combat, unless a PC has left botting instructions or made arrangement for another player to bot them, I will place any PC that has not posted within the past 24 hours (48 hours on a weekend) on delay.
If a single skill check has been called for, I will accept the PC with the highest skill bonus as the "primary" and all other attempts by PCs for the same check as aiding another.

Characters can play in only one scenario or Adventure Path at a time. Characters are considered to be playing in an adventure until they receive a Chronicle sheet for sanctioned content.
So the straightforward reading is that we're playing, and I can't play another adventure. The loophole is that I could drop out of this for 24 hours, re-join before we have our first encounter. A GM approved this for a different character before Gameday, even though we'd already started the debrief ... but that was a 2-week delay instead of a 2-day delay.

I can't readily access the guide at the moment and not sure I will be able to before you need an answer. However, if it says that when you drop out before any encounters that you don't get a chronicle sheet, then what you propose seems to work just fine.

Thanks! It was fun and let me catch up on a few Starfinder scenarios from season 1 that I had been missing.
Hmm ... If I run this one for my kids, I may downplay the "inhale strange gas to befriend stoners you have just met" aspect of the scenario.
I have embellished a bit as GM. But, yes, the scenario does contemplate the party using such a method to influence the yetis.

I don't think Kat would attack the creature unprovoked. Can we have my round be a readied action like the first two? Reading it back now, it's a little extreme. Even if we take overcharge off, I may have gotten to excited to use my new mechanic trick for the first time. I think she would have been still defending her team. I leave it up to you GM. Maybe she finally snapped after all the pent up hyper-vigilance.

Given the nature of PbP, I am willing to consider the attack as a readied action that will be triggered by any hostile action taken by the unicorn.
I'll allow the remaining PCs to act before I resolve the Diplomacy rolls.
