To be honest, I would have preferred playing in the higher tier, but I think playing up is even riskier in Starfinder, especially with a space battle in the scenario. All the ship DCs get tougher the higher in level the ship gets.

I will say also that THE Umbral Dawn is insufferably arrogant and bossy, but he usually gets knocked down a peg during the course of an adventure. That might not happen to him on this scenario.

Ahhh, you asked about Starship role in the opening questions. Then without a Starship combat, I would vote to play up. We just need to make sure to keep bad guys away from the technomancer and not let him touch any potentially booby trapped doors.

Just as a note/question, Vlakas get a +2 bonus to performing aid another and also providing harrying fire. In combat, unless spell-usage becomes needed, that's mainly what Talisman will do to help our heavy-hitters land their attacks.

The question becomes, does a Vlaka's ally boon also benefit from the +2 for the aid another action? :P

In this case it's not needed, but it might come up later, so...

Edit: Probably not - found this in the Guide -

It doesn't specifically call out racial abilities, but I'd extrapolate class abilities/spells to also extend to similar ones.

Florent, given that this is my very first time playing Talisman (his level 1 credits were all GM-credit), would you be okay if I made one change to the character that has 100% no bearing on the game play itself?

I've been giving it a lot of thought, and I think he's a better fit for the First Seekers (Luwazi) instead of Wayfinders, so I was going to move his 1st level credits to that (and also which faction champion boon he slotted for this scenario) - but only if it's okay with you.
