Scraps stands nearby and snips bandage wrappings with his lobster claw.

Eventually Igor puts Scraps stuffing back, sews him up and gives the homunculus a dose of curative.

Grollax takes a look at the stone while Plak paces back and forth.
"It seems that this stone is drawing souls into the ethereal plane."
| GM chadius |
The site was down for most of yesterday, I'll give you another day before moving on.
You are able to help the one slave back to his feet, but the other 12 are still unconscious. Grollax realizes this black stone is a terrible, soul sucking artifact. But what can be done about it?
Ruinor Starflame

"Seems as good a plan as any. Why don't we pull the slaves away from it first," Ruinor suggests as he studies the object some more.

You help the former slaves meet with your Pathfinder handlers. They thank you profusely before you wave goodbye and touch the tapestry. With but a thought you are all dragged to the next location.
The Muckmouth tribe’s caves are dry but littered with the bones of cave-dwelling fish. In the central cavern, a small band of bedraggled lizardfolk watch as their ancient leader limps forward. Long strings of tiny bones dangle from her armbands, clacking on the stone floor.
“Welcome, Pathfinder friends. I am Oosthic, and I remember my tribe’s debt to you for rescuing our eggs and our home. We must call on your strength once more. Our water has vanished. Without water, the Muckmouth grow weak. Many have perished seeking water in the ancient ruins beneath our home. The ruins are crumbling, and the living dead slither from the walls. I fear the serpent empire seeks vengeance against the Muckmouth for disturbing its ruins, but we had no choice. Destroy the undead and secure the lost magic of the serpentfolk for our tribe. The Muckmouth must survive!”
The lizardfolk sentries wait for you. ”We will lead you to what remains of the serpentfolk city. There are many dangers there. If you can clear out the area we may be able to reclaim this vital resource.”
---
The sentries lead you through twisting passages to a ruined serpentfolk city cradled in a steep-walled mountain valley. In it you see crumbling buildings and a massive ziggurat. More importantly, however, are the undead horrors encroaching upon you. The sentries retreat to a safe distance. ”We will secure your escape, if you need it!”

Once the homunculus can see the foe it sloughs off its outer shell and skin revealing it's horrible, multi-species skeleton. (wink, wink) It points at itself repeatedly, and then proceeds to put it self back together in a manner reminiscent of someone putting on footy pajamas, one foot at a time.
Ruinor Starflame
|
Ruinor follows the others up the stairs, moving quickly to get into position before the undead can reach them. Double move. Looks like I need to spend a skill point on religion next level. lol
| GM chadius |
You all run up the stairs and prepare yourself for the enemy onslaught.
The fleshbags slowly lurch forward, unable to do much more. The skeletons are much more mobile and quickly close in. Luckily only one skeleton has a chance to attack.

"Oh my, that think just attacked me. But it's movement was a bit strange. It did not even hit me." Quen says while moving behind Zildaastin. She touches him. for guidance
Most likely this movement will provoke an AoO from white and yellow?
Ruinor Starflame
|
Oh so tempting to push forward but don't want to get surrounded.
With the creatures lining up for him, Ruinor steps in front of Igor. "Pardon me, Igor. Watch this," he says as he unleashes a jet of fire at the creature closest to him. The flames engulf it and the creature behind it!
Fire Jet Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Reflex save (DC15) for half. Failed save = catch fire for 1d6 damage following round. Avoid with full-round action Reflex save. Will hit yellow and black.
| GM chadius |
Ruinor lights up two of the undead creatures.
Reflex Save Black: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Reflex Save Yellow: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Both of them light up. Even as their bones burn, they do not recoil in pain.
Black and Yellow took 3 damage and are On Fire.
Quen doesn't like where she is and quickly retreats.
From where you were, Quen, you would provoke from all of the enemies unless you withdrew, in which case you only provoke from Yellow. I'm gonna assume you only want 1 AoO versus 5, so I'll roll for yellow now. Tell me if you want to provoke from all of them.
Yellow's AoO: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Yellow's Scimitar: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Another portal opens in front of you, and a stream of Pathfinders arrive. As they clear the path for the lizardfolk, a masked man approaches you.
"Good job, Pathfinders at Slave Mountain." He shows his wayfinder. "We can take it over from here. A few updates on the other regions:"
"Krella, leader of the ratfolk sends her regards. We helped her clear passage to the village and renewed relations with them."
"The Temple of Empyrean Enlightenment was corrupted by a demon, and the Pathfinders helped repel the demon. Its influence tried to corrupt the new leader, but we returned and purified him."
"Aspis had influenced several groups at the fringe of the tapestry, but they were willing to parley with us. We showed them evidence of Aspis's treachery, and they decided to join us."
"Taikaga family guarded a wellspring of eternal water from undead, and they requested our assistance. We supplied it."
By the time he finishes explaining, the lizardfolk cry out excitedly. "Water! The warmblooded found water!" They bow down in thanks. "We are ever grateful!"

**OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT**
Aram Zey stands once more before the tapestry, a renewed light in his sunken eyes. “The Hao Jin Tapestry is stable at last. While you were performing your duties, I have reached a better understanding of the chaos you faced. The tapestry is still in dire condition. Lacking Hao Jin’s own magic, the tapestry has been using small pieces of departing souls to maintain itself over the centuries. This mechanism is depleting the tapestry’s water sources and spawning undead horrors. However, thanks to you, we have time to search for a more permanent fix. For now, get some rest, and—”
The former Master of Spells staggers back as a three-foot tear down the center of the fabric gouts sudden flame. Pathfinder agents flock around him, scrambling to assess the damage. A vein pops out on his forehead, and he yells sharply, “Pathfinders! What have you done?” He cuts himself short, taking a deep breath and muttering to himself, “Keep it together. Don’t take it out on the agents.” Frowning, he returns his gaze to the tapestry, his eyes darting wildly across its surface. When he speaks again, his voice is low and determined, “This new rift is no accident. Something is attacking the tapestry from the Astral Plane. Damage of this magnitude must have spawned hundreds more undead. Quickly, re-enter the demiplane and fend off the invaders!”
GMs, please begin part 3!
| The Red Raven of Halvon |
"Well then... will you fight the undead or the astral invaders? Choose quickly!" The man draws his blades and looks ahead.
First two in agreement win!
