Recruitment, in case we're looking for another person.

Are there special playtest considerations before I throw my hat into the ring?

Happy to help.

Sovereign Court

Thanks for the response! Nothing out of the ordinary, playtest-wise. We're currently at two players, one running a second PC, as some others had to drop.

I'm asking a buddy "martico" to see if he's interested.

I'll fill whatever role you need... Range, Charisma, etc.. Just let me know. I enjoy filling party gaps.

Sovereign Court

Right now we have a fighter, a monk, and a paladin. Ranged would be nice, or some sort of dedicated caster.

Will magic items crafting be allowed, using the 2 hours a day rules? Unless there is dedicated downtime every few days.

Would love to get my crafting on, if I take a Wizard. Otherwise, a ranged Rogue is good.

Sovereign Court

I'm not sure how that works in the playtest, but there won't be much spare time, and the adventure only goes for two days.

Hello, one of the players here! Thank-you for the interest!

It's a Pathfinder Society playtest scenario, so there's not really any time for crafting, but you can start with for free:
1 permanent level 4 item
2 permanent level 3 items
1 permanent level 2 item
2 permanent level 1 items (items with out item levels work for these too! Want that half plate for free? Count it as one of these!)
In addition you have 50 gp to spend on whatever you need (it's actaully quite a bit, playtest money systems are very different.)

Any options in the rulebook (with the updates included), and the backgrounds in the Doomsday Dawn are fair game.

It's not going to be a full campaign, but if you want to have some fun with roleplaying and a mystery, it'd be a great opportunity.

I'll do my best to be done, today!

Can I build a character at the right level, or would I have to play a pregen? I though we had to play pregens if we don't have a character at that level, but Ogren's equipment post would seem to contradict that.

EDIT: Never mind, I found the rules.

For the playtest you just build a character from scratch at the right level.

The monk in the party is actually an Archer. Though obviously a Fighter or Ranger would make a better Archer.

Sovereign Court

Yeah, normal advancement wasn't a big thing in playtest (besides the AP) so people wouldn't need to grind and could experience everything.

I made a Wizard using the app!

Sovereign Court

Awesome, check into Discussion and Gameplay at your leisure. To the other two, spaces are still available if you want them.

The app he's referring to is called Pathbuilder 2e. It works great if any of the rest of you are curious.
