Cymric makes sure that he is ready for the eventual combat, and for encouraging his companions on with his comedy routine.

Shukara, do you want to take a surprise round actions?

TN Male Human bard 3 (HP 17 AC:14 T:14 F:10 Saves F:+1 R:+7 W:+3 CMB:+2 CMD:16 Init:+4 Perc: +6)

Cymric; Use Magic Device +9: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Cymric takes Seeker's Wand of Mage Armor and casts the spell on Seeker. "There you go"

Female Human Oracle 3 | HP 22/22 | AC: 17 (T: 12, FF: 15)| Saves (+2 vs fear, +4 vs curses): F:+3, R:+3, W:+4 | BAB: +2, CMB: +4, CMD: +13, | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft | Perc. +7, SM +7 | Spells: (1st) 2/6

Shukara's eyes narrow, but she makes no other indication that she's 'heard' Seeker's warning. Under her breath she mutters, "They probably have ranged weapons if they're planning to ambush us. So...it's about to get foggy. Take advantage of that and reposition."

Casting Obscuring Mist within the circle on the map.

Shukara initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Cymric initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Ogochukwu initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Seeker initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Trappers (rooftops) initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

thugs (ground) initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

So initiative order is

Block 1: Cymric, Shukara and Seeker

Block 2: Trappers and Thugs

Block 3: Ogochukwu

So Block 1 over to you.

Cymric starts his comedy routine, commenting on the silly folks trying to ambush them. If the group moves up, he follows.

Seeker will follow Ogochukwu since he can't communicate in the cloud lol.

Female Human Oracle 3 | HP 22/22 | AC: 17 (T: 12, FF: 15)| Saves (+2 vs fear, +4 vs curses): F:+3, R:+3, W:+4 | BAB: +2, CMB: +4, CMD: +13, | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft | Perc. +7, SM +7 | Spells: (1st) 2/6

You should be able to communicate with the people next to you. It's only creatures further than five feet away that have total concealment.

Shukara brushes Ogochukwu's shoulder, proving a little bit of divine guidance. "Do we want to circle around? If we go east we could probably use the available cover to get behind them."

Casting Guidance on Ogochukwu for +1 on one attack roll, saving throw, or skill check.

The trappers on the roof use a rope to descend to street level.

The thugs remain where they are and ready.

Ogochukwu, over to you.

Ogochukwu, your action.

sorry for the delay. Been one of those weeks where I just drop all the balls

Ogochukwu moves forward, pulling Seeker along with him. At the edge of the fog he casts another spell lead blades

No worries - Block 1, back to you.

"I can't see a thing!" Cymric exclaims. "You need to take them out!" as he keeps up his routine if inspiring courage in his teammates.

Female Human Oracle 3 | HP 22/22 | AC: 17 (T: 12, FF: 15)| Saves (+2 vs fear, +4 vs curses): F:+3, R:+3, W:+4 | BAB: +2, CMB: +4, CMD: +13, | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft | Perc. +7, SM +7 | Spells: (1st) 2/6

Shukara sees Seeker and Ogochukwu start moving towards the front of the cloud. Well, hopefully the fog has confused their ambushers enough that they've put down whatever ranged weapons they hold.

She herself pauses for a second, conjuring a coat of darkness around herself. Then she starts moving around the other edge, hoping to circle around and get behind the enemy.

Seeker, your action.

Monk/3 HP 12/32 Nonlethal: 0 |AC 17/T 17/FF 14 +2 VS Rays| F+5/R+5/W+5 | CMD 23 +2 VS Grapple |Init + 2 | Perc +11

Seeker moves out of the cloud and into the ruins, hoping to draw the ambushers around one of the walls where they’ll be easier to combat.

Spotty internet connection here, map’s not cooperating. I’ll move to the north side of the wall just north of the closest enemy. Two move actions.

No problem, moved you on the map.

The trappers ready to fire at anyone who comes near.

The closest thug moves out to attack Seeker.

Cymric moves along the wall while maintaining his performance. Once he gets into position, he lets fly an arrow at the bandit attacking Seeker.

Seeker unleashes a flurry of blows on the adjacent bandit, almost wondering if the bandits willingness to close with him was some form or bravery or stupidity.

Will spend one ki to make an additional attack.
Unarmed Flurry 1: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 1 = 23

Bludgeoning Damage 3: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5

With Cymric's arrow and Seeker's blow the first thug falls.

Shukara, your action

Female Human Oracle 3 | HP 22/22 | AC: 17 (T: 12, FF: 15)| Saves (+2 vs fear, +4 vs curses): F:+3, R:+3, W:+4 | BAB: +2, CMB: +4, CMD: +13, | Init: +2 | Darkvision 60ft | Perc. +7, SM +7 | Spells: (1st) 2/6

Shukara hears the cry behind her and realizes battle has already started. Of course it has, what were you thinking would happen? From her position on the edge of the mist, she can see the distance she'd have to traverse in order to get behind the attackers. By the time she managed that, the fight would probably already be over and she would have contributed nothing.

Cursing herself for a fool, she heads back to the other side and pokes her head out of the mist. There. She can see a man, his attention focused on Seeker and the others. She aims her crossbow at him and quickly fires, immediately ducking back into safety before she can see if her shot hits or not.

L. Crossbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
P. Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

From the distinct lack of any cries of pain, it seems it did not.

From her position on the border of the Obscuring Mist spell, Shukara is able to attack without penalty but has concealment (a 20% miss chance) against anyone attempting to attack her.

The thugs move around the buildings. One of the trappers fires at Cymric.

Longbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Ogochukwu, back to you.

Ogochukwu continues his flanking movement with blistering speed.

I thought Shukara was going to go around the other flank? Did I misunderstand her comment? I came really close to having Ogochukwu day something in character about how she should do it

Block 1, back to you.

TN Male Human bard 3 (HP 17 AC:14 T:14 F:10 Saves F:+1 R:+7 W:+3 CMB:+2 CMD:16 Init:+4 Perc: +6)

Yelling "Ouch" as he is hit by an arrow, Cymric moves so he is in point blank range of the next bandit and lets fly another arrow while he continues to quip wildly about their ancestors.

Cymric's arrow strikes one of the trappers doing a small amount of damage.

Seeker and Shukara, your actions.

Monk/3 HP 12/32 Nonlethal: 0 |AC 17/T 17/FF 14 +2 VS Rays| F+5/R+5/W+5 | CMD 23 +2 VS Grapple |Init + 2 | Perc +11

Seeker charges at the next opponent as the first one falls, displaying surprising speed for someone his size. If nothing else, it would provide a good distraction for Ogochukwu’s flanking maneuver.

Unarmed charge: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 29
Bludgeoning Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10

Crit Conf: 1d20 + 6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 1 + 2 = 13
Crit Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6

Charge the one a bit to the south.

Seeker charges into the trapper and decapitates him with two blows of his shovel.

Shukara, your action.

I was going to flank, then realized it would take me several rounds to get behind them and, assuming they were even still alive by then, I'd be in a position where they could just turn around and murder me. On second thought I decided not to risk it.

Shukara quickly loads her crossbow and takes another shot which fails to go anywhere near the target.

L. Crossbow, Melee Penalty: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 4 = 2
P. Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Then again, doing nothing but moving for several rounds would have been just as useful as what I'm currently doing, which is nothing at all.

The thugs and trappers move around the ruins.

No doors block the grand entrance to this building- a wide flight of steps leads directly up into the temple's interior. Two humanoid statues flank the stairs, wearing black and white masks and holding quarterstaves. Just inside the entry, two rows of columns lead toward an archway in the north wall. Two smaller passages open to the east and west.
