If you have any questions, please feel free to ask away. I am here to help! We will be going at your own pace through this scenario. It is rather short, so I will focus more on the roleplay, even in the combats.

World languages (Triaxian (sp), Eoxian, Akitonian, etc) are nice. So is having a race language (ysoki is a good one, they are often either pirates in the Diaspora and/or traders/mechanics).

It honestly is a lot up to you. Diaspora is a lot of hodgepodge of people....from pirates to dwarven mining colonies and everything between. I usually read in the Pact World area dealing with the residents to see what kind of races are there, and then choose.

Is the circlet or gem useful?

The circlet is very useful to a lashunta (or another creature with telepathy). I think it might even give a non-telepath some range (only ever looked at it for my formian, so not 100% certain). But it is best as credits.

The gem might be useful if we get hit by some kind of condition. It would have to be used by Kallus as I believe remove condition is Mystic only.

I can probably hold on to the gem, it may come in handy later.. I don't think the circlet can enhance my own telepathy, I think it just gives the ability to non teeps.

That sounds like it could be useful. I'm assuming SFS adventures work like in PFS, we can use any items during the adventure and then it all gets sold or is available to purchase at the end.

I'm a little up in the air with continuing on with M'linda. I don't hate the character, but she (so far) seems really limited. That could be because Starfinder is still fairly new to me, and she's my very first character. I could also be just impatient and she may get far better as she levels. :p

Anyhow, either way, I did enjoy the scenario, and I'll see how things feel by Thursday. :)

M'linda. I agree on that Solarians seems limited. I do have one (My -702 named Kitkul). It is fine for most games, but I really have issues that almost all Solarians are effectively triple stat classes. If you are a melee, you need a High CHA (for your Solarian powers), STR (for your weapon melee hit/damage) and CON (for more staying power). If built right (i.e. getting heavy armor fast) you can survive without a high Dex. If you went a shooter type (if so go solarian armor instead of weapon IMO), you would still need the high CHA and a high DEX.

What all that means is that your INT might as well be a dump stat. Which means no skill points...which I absolutely hate.

Since you are not level 2 yet, you could reconfigure yourself to be a shooter type, move 3 pts into DEX from STR and either leave the 1 pt left in STR (since it is the +1 for being a Merc), or change theme to something that might help your int (a Dex theme, CHA theme or INT theme). And go to the Solarian Armor.

The other option would be to mostly keep the way you are going...and waiting until you get 1400 credits and level 2 to get a +2 to get a stat upgrade (personal enhancement augmentation). Then put it into STR to get +1 to hit/damage. I did this with Kitkul when I hit level 2, besides reworking her to get Heavy Armor at level 1. If you go this way, you will eventually (~level 6-8) start to see you are becoming a melee powerhouse, but it takes a while from what I have seen.

Not much I can afford yet. I'll get the Tool kit (Smuggler) (20) that I didn't buy at the start and the Infrared sensors armor upgrade (200). If anyone has any other suggestions, let me know.

If you haven't gotten one already, probably a good idea to look at the cheapest "stun" or "non-lethal" small arm you can get. Maybe not this game, but at least in the next couple. Otherwise you might accidentally kill somebody you want to take alive.

Besides that, always good to look at the technological tools. A fire extinguisher, comm unit (if you don't have one), flash light, other tool kits (hacker, engineer, trapsmith, etc), maybe have 2 serums of healing mk1, And maybe think on by level 2 or so getting a Starfinder Backpack (get an industrial one until then...it will allow you to carry I believe 1 (or 2) more bulk before being encumbered).
