On his pass over his fellows after dropping the myrmidon, he will call to Niu, "Niu, can you get the man down? I can't slow down enough to help! I'm going to make a couple of passes to take a look."

As Ranok circles the camp, he sees the remains of some stables to the west. There is a circular formation there. Dirt appears to mounded up around this formation. Other than that, he sees nothing out of the ordinary around the perimeter.
Boss and two of his men climb the ladder to the tower. "How ya doin, Thelgrin? Hang on, we'll get your free here in a jiffy."
"Not good, boss. Need water bad."
Boss looks at Steve and points to Thelgrin. Steve produces a waterskin and pours some water down Thelgrins throat.

Settling on the tower top, Niu carefully sets the creature's weapons to the side and searches the creature to see if there is anything else of interest.
He also casts Detect Magic to look for magical auras.
Niu's search of the myrmidon produces a short spear, a studded
leather armor, a flying talon, a javelin, and 4 empty vials. The talon, spear, and javelin have what looks like coated poison on them. There is nothing magical here.
"C'mon, Thelgrin, let's get you down from here." The loggers work their way down the ladder through the fog cloud to the ground.
"How you feeling now, bud? What in tarnation happened here?"
"Good as new, thanks to that flying savior."
He recounts the gruesome tragedy of the kobold attack and speaks wild-eyed of a green-scaled menace with a host of venomous insects at his command. "Those kobolds are as stupid as they are greedy. I really don't think that they are doing anything useful and are simply attempting to rob the camp of every nail, screw, and gold piece they can find.
I currently find them to be little better than vermin. Then again, I have a fondness for certain vermin, so maybe that is ok."
