Ryolle dodges out of Xavier's way and tries to remake wounds the paladin just healed. "Annoyingly persistent, but that will be my asset soon!"
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
Talon vs. Xavier: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13
Round Four:
Ryolle -61
Kyra -58 (dying 1, fevered)
Tjrren -12
Mordack (compelled)
Guards
Muriel (compelled)
Xavier -64

Kyra once again rises to her feet and attacks the harpy with her blade.
Melee (+1 scimitar): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Damage (slashing): 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 4) + 3 = 13
Melee (+1 scimitar): 1d20 + 9 - 5 ⇒ (20) + 9 - 5 = 24
Damage (slashing, forceful): 2d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1) + 3 + 2 = 8
Crit Damage (slashing): 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 5) + 3 = 12
Perhaps I just should have fireballed everyone.

Could've worked, but that crit wasn't bad. Does forceful damage get multiplied? I did his damage assuming it does and now I see you added some in.
Kyra is once again healed and ready to strike. Sarenrae must realize this hour of need, for though she misses once, it helps her second swing hit all the harder! But Ryolle still stands, bleeding from a dozen wounds.
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 = 10
Blue vs. Tjrren: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Green vs. Kyra: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

One more hit, Xavier, finish him!

Yes, but it looks like I should have added another +2 to damage for forceful on the crit, per PT CRB pg. 179:
COUNTING WEAPON DAMAGE DICE
Effects based on a weapon’s number of damage dice (such as charge or forceful) include only the weapon’s damage die plus any extra dice for a magic weapon. They don’t count additional dice from abilities, critical specialization effects, property runes, weapon traits, or the like. On a critical hit, you double this bonus only once; you don’t double it again due to the number of damage dice increasing.

Okay, I added 4 damage total from forceful so all should be good.

Xavier de Ramirez |

I'm going all out with three attacks. He goes down or I go down!
Xavier roars his battle cry while wishing he had Smite Evil and furiously attacks the hated harpy with his greatsword, oblivious to his wounds.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 1 = 292d12 + 4 ⇒ (7, 10) + 4 = 21
Greatsword: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 202d12 + 4 ⇒ (10, 10) + 4 = 24
Greatsword: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 + 1 = 202d12 + 4 ⇒ (6, 12) + 4 = 22

Xavier takes it upon himself to take down this evil. But it has similar plans for him. Blade bounces against mace and talons before -
Thunk!
- Ryolle looks down, almost musing over the blade running through his chest! A burbling sigh escapes the harpy's lips, signaling the end of his song, as he keels over. His departure leaves everyone feeling fit to collapse, their minds clear. The guards do so, not unconscious, but stunned at their long imprisonment and sudden release.
Combat over! Good job, Pathfinders! More to follow, but feel free to celebrate a deserved victory.

Yeah, that'd probably give you a circumstance bonus if done in advance. Feel free if you're understandably paranoid IC, but the threat is over now.
The guards clamber down from their posts as soon as their legs seem able again. "That was harrowing. Thank you, whoever you are. Could be Rough Beasts for all we care," one says. "We've been like this for at least a month, time was hard to track. Mostly fought minotaurs, a few other harpies too. Some of us died - our friends. But they got back up, shambled here days later as corpses. Something to do with combining his song and damnable staff.
"If it's all the same to you, we'll make our own way back to Diobel. Funerals to plan, plus whatever you haven't already planned for this filth's body." An uneasy kick at Ryolle's body.
Within the harpy's cave lie a few treasures. A scroll of paralyze, a +1 weapon potency rune. But the real treasure was on his person - the Inheritor's Clasp you spent so long seeking. It is a much simpler matter to meet up with Inisa back in Diobel and return to the Grand Lodge. Ambrus Valsin gives you a rare pleased look upon seeing the clasp. "Wonderful! I've already begun reaching out to the Church of Iomedae. We'll be working together to understand the relic's potential. It may or may not bear fruit, but that's not important today. Now we can honor you all for making the attempt possible. Good work, Pathfinders!"

I've played all of them at least once and Crunch has ran almost all of the ones I've played, including all four of the PFS sessions. I think I'm going to take a PbP break until after Gen Con. I believe I've been in a PbP game or six constantly for a year and a half. I need to chill for a bit.
I'm ready for PF2 to come out. I'm GMing at Gen Con and should have the CRB in hand in three weeks. It's time to move on to it. I just feel a disconnect with the PT now since it's really finished. I know we can't start anything until it comes out, but when it does I'll get back into PbP.
Thanks for this session and all the others, Crunch! I look forward to playing in your PF2 sessions in a few months. Gang, great playing with you as well. I look forward to playing PF2 with you in a couple months too.

Valen's Pregen |

Fevered and dying, Kyra dreams of a platinum-skinned angelic minion, escorted by eleven divine doves, overtaking her body and carrying it towards a fiery orb in the sky...
Thanks for running, GM Crunch! I've played this a couple of times, but still had fun--the more harrowing finish yet!
Thanks all for a great game. I look forward to sharing a table with each of you in the future!

Oh yeah, the ghast fever!
Having returned to the Grand Lodge, Valsin is easily able to secure more healers to remedy the team's festering problem.
I think I'd rather not GM Frozen Oath, sorry. I thought about it, but I already ran it, even for a fair few of those here, as Xavier said. And now that I know the CRB is coming out soon, I think I'd like to wait. That'd probably reduce the amount of people in the lodge interested in another game, too. Once I get my hands on the rules and such, though, I'm game to start running 2E again!

I suppose I could run that, I've already done so three times but it's more variable than the others and my favorite of all the scenarios. Who'd be game for that? Also, Xavier, are you getting the CRB early as a result of Gen Con? I'll cop to not following the blog posts.

Xavier de Ramirez |

Yes, I am getting the CRB at the end of the month hopefully. Tonya said she wants us to have plenty of time to learn as much as we can about the basic rules. We don't know exactly what we will get though. Many are speculating that it will be like the Starfinder CRB was, the book with empty spots for the artwork. The fact that the actual physical book is already done and printed may mean something else.
My current plan is to work with some of my fellow GMs who run games via Roll20 to put together a scenario or use Wisp or Compact modded to PFS2 the last weekend of July so we can see how it works and iron out some bugs. Naturally, all of us will be NDA signers who are running at Gen Con.
It really bites because I'm organizing the PFS part of Quin Con which is July 19-21 in Quincy, Illinois. I would love to be able to do an encounter demo there, but I've already got two live dates set up for August.

Yeah, I'll run Arclord's Envy again. Looks as if we have at least two people here who want to play. If you know anymore who'd be interested, say the word. I'll call for more people in Cottonseed and make a new thread tomorrow.
DoubleGold, I'd be up to play. Sent a PM.

Valen's Pregen |

I will bow out of the two games offered, due to the other commitments and having played both scenarios with the same GMs.
However, based on my experience, I suspect that those who do play on
will have a great time. Happy gaming all!
