Okay, so I was looking for a nondescript map to use that wouldn't give you guys too much info...all of the ones I have would show vital areas even if I block them out. So...instead you have this; this should properly reflect the haste with which Proudstump made your map....he obviously just wanted you to leave.

The main point is that you can't get to the gobbos without either crossing the water or heading back out to the road and taking another trail.


Headed to GalaxyCon in Raleigh this weekend, so won't be posting till Sunday night or Monday, after today.

I'm in Fuquay-Varina just outside of Raleigh. There's a pretty organized Pathfinder society group in the triangle area and I signed up on Warhorn to play in the firs 2e game on that calendar. I think the table is full right now but I know they do games all month long mostly on Friday-Monday.

Quick question on the handle animal check, actually. I double checked, and shouldn't that be a DC 10 check? From what I understand, once you've taught an animal a trick, it's always a DC 10 handle animal check to make 'em do any trick you taught them. The DC15 listed with Seek seems to be the DC for teaching the trick.

It's my first character with an animal companion so I could be off, though, and either way I'll leave the decision up to you, of course.


Madir, I think you're absolutely right, though it doesn't show on my phone on the Srd. I can see where it is a separate DC though, so 10 is fine. Sorry, searching on my phone sucks

@Eli - Just a thought, but I'll leave the decisions up to you. I know a lot of it has been just bad luck with rolls, but something that you could do in melee to be a little more successful is aiding to attack or defend. Only requires to hit an AC 10, and you can provide either a +2 attack to hit a creature, or a +2 AC for an ally.

There are even feats that help to improve this, if that is a direction you wanted to go, being a cleric of Sarenrae and all. :)

Gruhx, I'm not sure how much the size increment changes the whip damage, but I am figuring that as lethal slashing damage. I know about the armor bonus thing that voids damage, but don't think that should really apply here.

Technically, an improvised weapon uses different (and often less) damage than a real equivalent one. What that damage is, and whether it deals lethal or not, is generally up to the GM.


Gotcha, I'm good with it as is, unless anyone has any complaints. I like the idea of a giant Trox cowboy lassoing goblins

Understood.

What I've been trying to do is look at the closest weapon that make sense to what I'm using. Then converting the damage die up to my size through the size chart from the CRB.

If it ever gets to be too cheesy, just let me know.
