So it sounds like we'll skip over the dragon hoard for now?

If the party wishes to bypass searching through the hoard for the moment, Busta will acquiesce to the group's wishes, but he will take a passing glance to see if he spots anything of particular interest.

"Lutty, were those red bugs a swarm of bugs? Or was it several oversized bugs? If they're a swarm of bugs, then I'll have only a few items capable of ridding that infestation - specifically two bottles of acid and two bottles of alchemical fire. I don't have anything else of use against swarms of critters..."

The horde's contents:
The horde consists simply of nonmagical gems, jewelry, and gold. Overall, it looks to be about 5000gp worth of valuables in total. Pretty sure your Venture-Captain expects a dragon horde if you tell him Busta grappled a dragon, too. Aside from that, there's a surprising lack of magical items. Still, though. The sword you were sent to find is NOT in the horde.

Not a swarm, just a handful of individual cat-sized bugs.

Lutorinus was unable to explore deeper into the Northwest room as the creatures seemed to react to his presence, but as he didn't enter the room they seemed to ignore him. (the bugs have scent)

Lutorinus begins summoning. Setare squishes the blue bug. Val also begins summoning. Val ( I think ) moves south while keeping his spell up. Busta moves into the room's corner and puts up his defenses.

The big bug (It's actually medium sized. The others are tiny. Forgot to mention that earlier), thinking it sees an easy meal in the halfling, moves for Busta.

Bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

It gets close, but the halfling's defenses prove effective. Busta, if you'd like to have grappled the creature, go ahead and roll it here.

Nah, Busta won't bother with grappling these 'bug'gers. It'll save Busta having to clean up blood guts all over himself when the rest of the guys squash em! Besides, I'm not entirely sure he can while having also gone total defense.

@Busta: The feat specifies it's an immediate action. I'm fairly certain you can still take immediate actions while under total defense.

Roldala charges forward at the big bug, firmly smashing it into the ground, but it returns to its flight, oozing blood.

The grey and orange bugs go for Busta, the Purple bug attacks Setare, The white, red, and green bugs attack Roldala, and the yellow bug moves down the hallway to attack Cervantes.

Hell's Vengeance - Slides

Cervantes kills the bug bothering him.

@Roldala: Oops. You've got reach, huh. We'll say red died to the AoO.

Setare knocks out the green bug.

All the bugs are then accosted by an air elemental. Lots of rolls incoming.

The air elemental successfully takes out White, Purple, and Orange. The big one seems to take the damage, but isn't caught in the whirlwind. Due to cervantes killing his stirge, though, nobody is sucked up into the whirlwind.

Busta total defends from his current position.

Oops. Got out of order there. Redirecting Lutorinus' summons. The red eagle is easily able to take out the remaining stirge. The blue and pink eagles then attack the bigger threat, but only one talon lands for 5 damage.

The medium bug then, again, attempts to attack the halfling.

Nat 20?: 1d20 ⇒ 19

It once again just barely misses the halfling.

Stirge QUEEN has taken 15 damage.

Dismissing his eagles in a blaze with a flip of his hand, Lutorinus pulls out a scroll and strolls up to Rodala. "Unless you've your own hiding somewhere, let's get more blood back into your body, eh?" he says before drawing power from the scroll to replenish what was taken from the Half-Orc.

Task complete, he tosses the quickly disintegrating remains of the scroll to the ground. "South?" he asks.

Lesser Restoration vs Roldala (Con Damage): 1d4 ⇒ 4
