Alrighty, I'll be more specific in the future.
Aaand now there's a bit of bookkeeping.
"Over time, your burning infusion sears away your foe’s fire resistance. When you roll burn damage from burning infusion against a foe, decrease the foe’s fire resistance by an amount equal to the unmodified burn damage; don’t apply fire resistance to this roll for the purpose of determining the reduction. This decrease lasts for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your kineticist level. These decreases stack, to a minimum resistance of 0."
So, the Red's fire resistance is now 2 lower, which lasts for 4 rounds. Next time it takes damage for being on fire from Roni's Blast, it's further reduced. I think the wording is a bit unclear on whether you apply the reduction on resistance before or after it takes damage since it literally says "when you roll." >.<
The thing that makes this bookkeeping weird is that the decreases have their own timers, so after four rounds, it could have a reduction in resistance of, for example, 2, 3, 1, 3 = 9, with the first "2" dropping out ofter that round, leaving it with a reduction of 7 (until the next time it burns.) So.... Yeah. It's a bit weird.

Yes, that is a strange ability - had to read it a couple times to make sense of it. But I think I got it now (help me keep track though).

I will be away at a convention Thursday through Sunday. Please bot as needed.
Note, that due to the enlarged and fatigued conditions I currently lack the Dex to use two-weapon fighting, so I'll be attacking two handed for now.

Thanks for letting me know. You'll help me greatly if you can add the dice expressions for your current attacks (i.e. with enlarge, fatigue, bull's strength, shillelagh, etc.) to your profile.

Heh. Never before have I managed to reduce a creature's fire resistance to zero :D I like the mental image of the demon first going: "Ha! You set me on fire? I Live In the Fiery Pits of the Abyss!" and a few rounds later "Huh? This actually burns! Outch! Outch! Put it out, Put it out!"
I've no idea if the timer for the first burn is still 4 rounds or if it drops immediately to 3 rounds now that Roni took 2 negative levels.

GM Abraham |

... We Would have been Sooooo dead had we tried to push up the stairs XD
Yes, but if you had somehow succeeded it would have counted as TWO successes! ;-)
At the 10-11 tier, the option to push up is to actually fight Yealek-Vor, the demon king of Jormurdun, himself. CR 15...

GM Abraham |

Go ahead and make a boon roll for yourself. You win on a 19 or a 20, in which case roll 1d4 to see which one you win.
boon me baby!: 1d20 ⇒ 1 Lol!

Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 20
wow!: 1d4 ⇒ 2
I don't win a lot of boons, so yay!

GM Abraham |

Well, I was hoping that we would be able to squeeze in that fight before we reached the end but between the other tables making some rapid progress and me getting a bit slammed on the home front the last couple of days it was not to be.
Congrats all, the Pathfinder Society reached the top level of accomplishment (earning you an extra boon), and our table was a very significant contributor to that.
I'll try to get your chronicles done in the next few days. Please post your day job roll here if you have not already done so. And let me know if you have any faction journal boxes that you want to check and if you need me to adjudicate anything related to that.
Roni's two temporary negative levels from enervation go away on their own but Troi currently has one permanent negative level, requiring a casting of restoration with 1000 gp of diamond dust. I don't think any of you have the ability to cast restoration? Let me know if you wish to contribute to this cost and I'll adjust your chronicles accordingly.
I hope you all had fun!

Sindelle, PM me your email address so that you can receive your boon. Congrats!

Just a reminder that since Loxx is level 9 he'd get the average gold of subtiers 7-8 and 10-11.

Thanks for that reminder.
Also, is anyone slow-tracking?

Roni pays 200gp towards the restoration.
The dwarves trapped between the elementals counted as "liberate one or more captives, hostages or slaves during an adventure" for LE s9 faction journa, right? They were captive... Between two huge elementals?
If they don't count, Roni spends his downtime fighting nonviolently for the cause of liberty by organizing a protest against the demons near the worldwound (LE, s10 faction journal)
Stealth vs DC 23: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

GM Abraham |

@Agate, many thanks - yes, I enjoyed this a lot too. You were a great group.
@Roni, I'm afraid the dwarven miners don't quite count as captives, hostages, or slaves. More like people who are in the wrong place at the wrong time. The elementals are oblivious to them, and you, at the outset, and just intent on their own brawl. That said, if you don't rescue the dwarves by initiative count 10 on round 3, half of them die in a cave-in, and the other half die the next round. So: good job!

GM Abraham |

Ok, chronicle sheets are just about done. I'm just waiting on a) Sindelle's email address for her boon and b) guidance from the top about whether or not Sindelle gets out of tier gold due to being level 6. I'll post a link here for you to download them when they are uploaded.
Thanks again for playing and hope you all had fun.

![]() |

Wow that was a whirlwind conclusion there! It was great playing with all of you! Thank you for helping keep my little level 6 alive! :D
Thanks for running the game GM! I can't imagine how hard it's got to be running a special in pbp! Would the sky key be a named minor/major artifact for my faction journal card?
Sindelle could use a scroll of Restoration if we had one but it seems like Troi took care of it already

![]() |

b) guidance from the top about whether or not Sindelle gets out of tier gold due to being level 6.
From the guide:
"For special scenarios with 4 or more subtiers, give the character the gold value for the tier that matches his character level, rather than the tier played."
So Sindelle would get subtier 5-6 gold, not the average of 5-6 and 7-8. For specials you only do the averaging if there is no subtier for that character level (as in Loxx's case).

GM Abraham |

Once y'all let me know that you are able to get your chronicle sheets I'll go ahead and mark this thread as inactive.

I have mine. Thanks for the game!

Everything looks good on my end.
Thanks a ton for GMing Abraham. I had a real good time and I know from experience how much of a beast specials can be.
Also enjoyed playing with all of you. Maybe I'll see you around on the boards!

Yay thank you! Great playing with all of you!
