"One wizard, comin' up!" Kilarra yells as she takes out an Alchemist's Fire. Since Kilarra is a Tiefling, she doesn't mind throwing it right in front of herself.
Violet lets loose a burst of holy light! If swarms can be startled, her appearance is startling!
Rose crawls along the ceiling using un-wizardlike magic. She offers no witticisms since her foes are rats, and rats are dumb.
Garrosh's arrow falls short while Ann moves into the swarm of rats, cutting a large swarth with her daggers. Kilarra ineptly throws her alchemist fire, splattering herself, Rose and Ann instead. Violet blasts the remaining rats dead with her holy light.
"Eww, I hate rats. They carry plague. Anyway I can't get up there, it's too crowded. Your guys ok?" Winter asks.
"I'm on fire." Kilarra responds, though there's no concern in her voice.
"Piotr is sick." Ann points out. The loud retching that carries down the stairs might also alert Winter of that fact.

"Better out than in." Kilarra responds
"Ok give me a moment. I'll be right there." Winter pushes her way up the stairs and seeing the puking Piotr, asks him, "Any idea what causes you to be sick? It would help if you could take off your armor so I could check if you're suffering a case of indigestion or worse."
Violet flutters aside so Winter can check on Piotr.
Piotr burbs, quickly covering his mouth and looking as embarrassed as one can be. "Don't know what it was, but that... did the trick. Sorry for bothering you bout it."
Relieved it’s just a reaction to the rats crawling all over, Violet says to the phantom sister. “I’m glad Piotr’s okay. How are you two… related?
“And I’m Violet, by the way. We kinda rushed into this without proper introductions, so I’ve been learning names by osmosis.”
Rose simply watches the exchange between Winter and Piotr.
She wonders if maybe there is, perhaps, romantic interest?
But the vigilante cannot get a read on such a mysterious woman. It is not my business, she reminds herself. Still, she hopes her intuition is correct. Of everyone present, Piotr and Winter seem most likely to blend in with a society not plagued by violence. She includes herself in this harsh assessment.
While everyone gets sorted, Rose adjust her Morphic Weapons.
One talon remains as is, with prominent thorns protruding from her open-toe boot. The other changes, so the stiletto heel becomes a spike.
At her waistline, large rose petals extend over her hips, forming a thick layer over Rose’s dress.
Nemira comes up from the stairway and gestures to the right door. "You need to go that way to the attic." Garrosh listens at the door and hears nothing, and finds the door not locked nor trapped.
Rose thinks that Winter is just concerned about the party's well being in question.
"Ok, if you say you're fine..." Winter's voice trails off dubiously.
Ann looks up at the floating bee "We're siblings, can't you tell. We have the same glow." the young woman's sarcasm drips. She pauses for a moment, letting the silence hang before adding "I am Ann."
Piotr doesn't notice cause he is preoccupied assuring Winter he is "Well as fine as I can be in these situations." he gives her a weak grin as he rubs his neck. "To the attic then." he'll lead the way with shield at the ready.
Kilarra follows after Piotr. When passing Rose and Violet, she says "Kilarra. I've heard that wizards have familiars. Are you a familiar, and she is a witch? Of some kind?"
Rose is amused by the term ‘witch.’ “I am simply an ordinary woman who was changed.”
Her body becomes liquid, and oozes from ceiling to floor. She is practically a puddle in one instance, and in the next, standing upright. Even her clothing remains intact (and the hat that was once impaled on spiked atop her head no longer has holes in it).
“One who punishes evildoers without authority is a vigilante, if it is easier for you to put a name to what I am.” Regarding Violet, “Ma petite amie is a sage. Madness would have claimed me if not for her mindfulness.”
Violet says, “Rose and I found each other. I was just a… well, witchlight’s what the townsfolk called my sisters and I.”
"Oh! Okay. You're sort of like Ann, then. Cuz Ann got turned into what she is now, and she can sometimes turn into goop. Maybe you two had a similar event happen? If we had our memories, we'd be able to figure it out better. What are you a sage about, by the way?"
Violet grimaces. “Sage? Uhhh… Rose exaggerates! I just pay attention to my surroundings. I’m observant is all.”
Perhaps her ability to explain Ann’s state (which is clearly unlike Rose’s) would demonstrate her ‘sage’ knowledge, but without looking like a braggart.
Ann's dark eyes narrow dangerously at the tiefling "I do Not turn into GOOP, I'd like you to know. Or even something approximating GOOP. I... don't know what it is exactly, but what I DO know is It. Is. Not. GOOP."
This room is decorated in a pseudo-Qadiran style, with intricate patterns carved in the wood paneling. A sumptuous four-poster bed with a minaret-like canopy sits against the southeastern wall. The furniture includes an ebony writing desk and a large, L-shaped armoire. In the room is a woman in a green dress, with sharp pointed fangs.
Kilarra recognizes the creature as a undead
abdomination called a penanggalen. It is vulnerable to silver and slashing weapons.
Rose dashes around the enemy so another might flank with her.
Her kick is clumsy. As the undead cannot be intimidated, she makes no attempt. Instead, Rose morphs her spiked heel to a normal talon, and her skirt morphs so that it is razor sharp at the hem.
The siblings rush in after Rose, hoping to surround the creature but proving to be too slow, and not so accurate either.

"You need something that cuts and is silver. I got a dagger for that if someone needs it." Kilarra says
Winter casts bless on the party. Piotr manages to land a sword strike on her but Ann and Rose do not manage to punch through her supernaturally tough skin.
"Oh, I see you've met Delia. Pity about her end, but I guess I'll have to do better with my craftsmanship next time."The penanggallen tells the party.
Taking a step in front of the door, Garrosh studies the creature for a moment, and fires a single arrow.
Garrosh's arrow strikes the penanggalen's shoulder and as she steps back, her wounds heal. She utters an incantation as sickly green particles rain from the ceiling, covering Rose, Ann and Piotr.
"She just casted glitterdust!" Winter informs the party. "Is everyone ok?"
Piotr unfortunately is blinded by the glitterdust. Winter steps up and tries to dispel the glitterdust, seeing Piotr stumbling around.
Piotr finds himself clean of the dust and his vision return.
Violet flies near Piotr and whispers, “Five feet forward.”
She wills Lesser Confusion upon the enemy.
Violet is certain that her attack will fail, but her intent is to startle the foe so Rose might strike true!
“I am fabulous,” the glittery Rose replies to Winter as she steps forward and kicks with talons and hip-checks with bladed hem.
Piotr's world went dark then flashed back into being almost as quick as a blink. "Thanks Winter!" he gushed before getting back into the thick of it with the "Irritating disease-ridden cow" as his sister decided to call her.
Garrosh gains momentum, and fires two arrows.
Rose manages to land a single talon strike and slam her pointed hips against the creature but her attacks don't seem to be fully effective. Piotr's strike missed by an inch while Ann sticks one of her daggers into the creatures ribs. Garrosh's arrows hit the ceiling.
Kilarra pushes past Winter and Garrosh to get into the battle.
The pennagalen takes 5 foot step back, placing her back against the wall before sending more sickly green particles over the party, as her wounds heal slightly.
Garrosh and Piotr recognize the spell as glitterdust (again!), just as Rose and Kilarra are blinded.
"Sorry, I didn't prepare that many dispels today!"Winter apologizes.
Winter, seeing Rose and Kilarra stumbling around, channels a burst of positive energy to damage undead.
The burst of energy harms the pennagalen, but not as much as the party would like.
Violet stays back from the relentless confetti. But her voice moves to exactly where the enemy has cornered herself!
“Rose, Kilarra, follow the sound of my voice. Five feet. HERE. Strike in the direction you stepped.” She communicate with Rose via message to help Rose adjust for the wall.
“Why must you insist that I sparkle? That is a good look for a wondrous woman or a superior girl, but us batty gals prefer a subtle hint of darkness.”
She steps and lashes out with all of her weapons as directed by her trusty sidekick.
Kilarra listens to the message and steps forward. With advice on which area to focus her attacks, Kilarra attacks cautiously.
Piotr looks to his sister, but she waves him forward, knowing his strength is better here than her speed.
The half-orc continues his barrage.
The pennagalen dodges the attacks and arrows aimed at her with supernatural speed as some of her wounds heal.
Kilarra and Rose finally manage to shake the glitterdust out of their eyes to find everyone covered in sickly green particles.
The pennagalen, seeing both Rose and Kilarra recover from her glitterdust, attempts to bite and slam Rose.
Winter casts guidance on Garrosh.
Rose shakes off the glitter just in time to see attacks coming at her! She barely gets out of the way, and only does so because of her defensive magic.
Garrosh shoots more arrows!
Violet flits onto Rose’s shoulder. She attacks!
After Violet strikes, Rose steps back so Ann may attack! (And so the petite amie on her shoulder does not remain is striking distance!)
Kilarra shakes the magic dust from her eyes, then decides to end this fight with all her power. She bellows out, then smites the monster with divine wrath.
And again!
Piotr swings while Ann darts foward to stab.
Rose clambers up to the ceiling then slams her thorny hips into the pennagalen. Garrosh's first shot also hits her shoulder, as Kilarra's divine strike cuts her down.
On the writing desk, is a dissorderly stack of handwritten notes, drafted by Lowls in the immediate aftermath of his dream journeys. The last note mentions the Mad Poet, who told the count to look for a book called the Necronomicon. In the note, Lowls mentions Kilarra, Garrosh and Piotr as his companions in this revelatory dream, and says that “the sacrifice of their minds” put them into “a fugue state, but they lived, unable to remember their lives or react to outside stimuli.” Lowls concludes his last note saying that they would be turned over to the warden of Briarstone Asylum “according to the agreement.”
"Yes we need to go up the stairs to the attic."Nemira mumbles.
Garrosh listens to both doors and finds they are neither locked nor trapped nor does he hear any noise beyond.
Rose reads the note. She notices mention of her new allies, and has a look of disgust. “Three of you are mentioned by name in this note.” She offers the note to whoever cares to read it first.
She asks Nemira, “What must we do when we find your body?”
As Rose speaks, her (un)natural weapons shift slightly, so that the hardened floral skirt is no longer bladed, and one talon has a spiked heel.
