We can track them. Raiden and I are both accomplished hunters, Ravvek looks at the bloody mess then turns to Raiden and the others, Shall we?
Noting Uriah's uneasiness, he addresses the bard with a grin, Stay here with the young priest, and we will follow the tracks. Perhaps you can compose an ode to us in the meantime.
Sashah
"May yet live..." Sashah utters to himself as he strokes his beard. Clearly his mind is racing, but to no conclusion.
Ravvek the Avenger
Rai, I'll give you advantage, since your Survival is higher than mine.
Ravvek the Avenger
Oh, for some reason, I thought you were trained in it. Then I might be better at it with a +4, though a 16 might be enough.
Sashah
Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Sashah looks around with grumbles as he seems to find a path. "I think zis vay."
Greycastle
16 is plenty to follow the “owlbear” tracks. But Sashah just confirms.
The party sets out on the trail. The outer wood is composed mostly of young trees clogged with underbrush. Coming from the lodge, there seem to be multiple trails cut into the woods here. The woodlands, except for directly near the trails, are difficult terrain because of the thick undergrowth. The air is sharp with the smell of pine needles, with an occasional whiff of animal spoor or a late- blooming bush.
As the party progresses into the thick woods, signs like upturned trees, large droppings, and shed feathers indicate that large predators have been hunting throughout this area. The bloody trail from the village continues this way. With the amount of blood seen, things look bad for Shin. No skill in medicine is required for this knowledge.
Ravvek the Avenger
1 shy... :(
Rav whispers a short prayer to Meilikki, By your grace, speed us along to find this missing one...
The paladin, upon Raiden's direction, nods and hurries ahead, his bow strung and at the ready.

Did you step in some? Watch out, there's another pile over there...
^_^
Raiden Bartok
As it smells and looks like we're getting closer, Raiden will draw a hammer to be at the ready. Though he has not been careful with his steps, so he is contributing to the smell. The bloody hand prints are very disturbing and he hopes we're not too late.
Myastan Zayless
"You alright Raiden? You appear disturbed." Zayless speaks with concern.
Sashah
Suddenly Sasha seems to follow an unseen trail rather frantically, his beard waving about. "Ve must hurry zere might be survivor!"
Ravvek the Avenger
Trusting the elderly wizard, Ravvek springs into action rushing off in the direction that Sashah directed!

The party follows the trail for another hour or so before coming into the depression of a dry river bed. The trail you are following leads an area with some low foliage and you can see blood pooled into low spots in the ground here. The owlbear tracks that you were following seem to stop here but the blood trail continues as if the bodies were dragged from this location to a cave that can be seen at the bottom of a shallow ledge a short distance away.
A musky, animal odor permeates the depression and at the bottom the ledge, near the cave mouth, two owlbears can be seen wrestling with one another. Noise from inside the cave indicates there are more inside.
You also surmise by the amount of blood here, that the wounded either were here for a long time and bleeding out or something happend to cause more blood to flow.
Unfortunetly, as you approached, a combination of Raiden's armor making noise and the scent of adventurers who have been hiking all day seems to have been noticed by the owlbears.

Raiden steps up to the nearest owlbear, cursing its fowl stench (ha). Swing and a hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 with the hammer, damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8. If he's still up, smash him again on the back swing 2nd attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5.
If by some miracle that 9 hit, rerolling that 1 damage 1d4 ⇒ 2.
Anton Jiang
Anton grimaces at the metal on metal sound of Raiden's armor and then darts forward, drawing his sword. He leaps at the last second, and plunges his blade at one of the owlbears. He slashes the same one again, and kick behind him at the other one.
+1 Longsword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 slashing
+1 Longsword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 slashing

If the unarmed attack hits, I'll do a stunning strike (Con DC 14) at that one.

While the name of the map is wrong, the map has been updated for this combat.
Raiden - FYI your ability to reroll Damage applies to only weapons you are holding with two hands.
Ravvek the Avenger
Wisdom (Survival): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
@*#&! The survivor left that way, so we do not need to go in! Remember, they are territorial! The fact that someone was allowed to leave alive tells me that there is something more at play! Ravvek swears as he draws to cover the others' escape.
Raiden, are you using a light hammer? If so, the Great Weapon Fighting Style does not come in to play.
Thinking to himself, Rav continues swearing, Gods, we are all in, I guess... I am hoping that it's not a nest of babies in there...
+1 longbow atk #1 @ Bear 1 (if not stunned by Anton): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
+1 longbow atk #2 @ Bear 1 (if not stunned by Anton and still conscious): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
EDIT: Are you lumping the group in pairs? If so, I will be aiming for purple, since it seems to be closest...
Raiden Bartok
Sorry about confusing my weapons. I had originally gone with the sword but then remembered I had written that I was already holding the hammer, so logically I would have used that. Thanks.
Also I updated the title of the map; good old Google sharing. Hope that was okay!
Greycastle
Con: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Im assuming Raiden has two hammers and he is throwing them after moving ahead to close the distance. The creature is stunned before Ravv and Raiden so I’ll do some adv rolls for you.
Raiden: 2d20 ⇒ (7, 17) = 24
2d20 ⇒ (18, 17) = 35
no crits but the adv turns Raiden’s second attack into a hit.
Bear 1 (green) - 50
Anton leaps into action missing with his first sword strike but finishing with a series of blows that would start a cascade of hurt on the young owl bear from his companions as well as his own attacks.
The owlbears savagely retaliate at a large pack of young owl bears (probably just old enough to be about to leave the protection of their mother) come charging from the large cave.
Green and Yellow Attack Anton as two more exit the cave to attack Raiden. Anton: 2d20 ⇒ (3, 13) = 16, Raiden: 2d20 ⇒ (18, 1) = 19
Anton takes Claw Damage: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 7) + 5 = 13
Raiden takes Bite Damage: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Too slow to join the others, one additional young owl bear joins his brethren. cant up date map from phone will get it tonight.
Sashah moves into the woods following the well concealed tracks. By his best judgement, the tracks are roughly eight hours old by this point.
Then: Anton, Raiden, Ravvek
Then: Bad News Bears 1
Then Sashah, Zayless
To Go: Zayless
Then: Bad News Bears 2

Zayless scurries up a boulder nearby. He begins to call on strange powers. "Send your horns to block the way." A swirling cloud of blades fill the mouth of the cave.
Cast cloud of daggers in the center of the mouth of the cave. It looks like no save on my app? 1st time it enters an area or starts its turn in a location.
6d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 1, 3, 1) = 11 Three 1's Common. Inspiration points?
Greycastle
A slightly larger owl bear emerges running through the cloud of daggers causing feathers to be lifted into the air like a down pillow exploding. This just seems to enrage the creature and it barrels to the first target it sees, Anton.
Zayless, roll the Damage for the second Owlbear that is going to start its turn in the cloud.
Mamma Owl Bear -11
Green Owl Bear -50
I also realized I messed up the first attack round a little but it worked out to your benefit. I only attacked Anton and Raide. With one Owl Bear each. Green was stunned so 2 aatacks on Anton was accurate. Raiden should have had two more attacks on him. Oh well. Moving on.
To Go - Anton, Raiden, and Ravvek
Then - Bad News Bears 1
Then - Sashah, Zayless
Then - Bad News Bears 2

Cast divine favor as a bonus action...
Dammit, dammit, dammit! Rav continues shooting his current target, hoping to drop the owlbear...
+1 longbow atk #1 at Green, if it is still up: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
damage w divine favor: 1d8 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (7) + 5 + (4) = 16
+1 longbow atk #2 at Green, if it is still up: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
damage w divine favor: 1d8 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (7) + 5 + (2) = 14
If Green drops, Rav will turn his attention to the mother...
Raiden Bartok
Raiden is happy the bad news owlbears were distracted. Ouch.
OK now, using the greatsword for real this time, Raiden slices from right to left (so bear on the right first).
Attack 1 & damage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 142d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 6) + 4 = 13
Attack 2 on second bear & damage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 192d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 3) + 4 = 9 damage reroll: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Realizing he can't take too many owlbear slashes, bonus action to use second wind. Second wind: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Seriously??
Ravvek the Avenger
Rav will begin moving back too...
Anton! Rai! Withdraw, this is not a good battle. If they are not being controlled, they should leave us once we get beyond their territory! Ravvek adds internally, Hopefully...
Ravvek the Avenger
The tracks went that way! Rav points off after Sashah, as the old man wanders off...

Anton slices and kicks, killing one of the Owlbears and wounding another. Looking over his shoulder, he notices his allies signaling a retreat for some reason.

2 swords, 1 unarmed: 3d20 ⇒ (15, 12, 14) = 41
3 hits: 2d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 4) + (6) = 13
The blades at the cave mouth sink deep gashes into another Owlbear as it passes through the cloud. It charges toward Ravvek and the others leaving Anton to face the mother and remaining younger Owlbear.
The two owlbears left by Raiden give chase, but one seems to notice Zayless and peels off to attack the Dragonborn.
Im afraid Raiden is not fast enough to get away from the galloping Owlbear.
On Anton: 2d20 ⇒ (5, 18) = 23

Sorry I am confused by the map not updated. I didn't think anything was close enough to reach me yet I was hoping the rocks would slow the owls. LOL little buggers can climb. I moved the tokens as described.
Reaction to attack
Zayless throws a hand palm extended at the Owlbear who struck him, "The fires of judgment return what you have sown."
Helish Rebuke Dex DC 13: 3d10 ⇒ (5, 1, 7) = 13
On my turn
Zayless looks about, "We are harried and Anton struggles with many foes. We risk abandoning him." He looks at 2 more barreling bear creatures clustered near. He chokes through grievous wounds, "And me!"
He hops back off the rocks clutching his wounds, "I made your pact for your aid damnit. Help us." He lands as light flashes about his wounds. There is no room on the map for me to move back off the rocks.
Bonus Action Healing Light on me.
Healing Light: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1) = 10
He continues moving toward Sashah. Withdraw
Ravvek the Avenger
Ravvek does not stop cursing, he has not been in this much of a @#$%-show in his life!
Tossing his bow to his off-hand, he draws his rapier and strikes at the owlbear before him!

Sashah returns to the fight to see his companions embroiled in combat. He looses his magic slumber toward the owlbears and after Ravvek furiously stabbed one of the owl bears the sleep magic seems to take hold.

37 wasnt quite enough to get any of the owlbears at current health so I fudged the order a little in your favor and had Ravvek's blades hit the creature first.
Raiden Bartok
Raiden continues what he was doing after last round, withdrawing and moving towards Sashah. He keeps his sword out in case one of the owlbears comes after him.
Sashah, can you cast that sleep again on the bears near Anton? He looks pretty bad off.
Myastan Zayless
"I will try to get him back on his feet. I have to get a little closer."
Ravvek the Avenger
Anton! Nooo! Rav cries as he notices the owlbear before him fall asleep... There is a moment that it looks like he will run into the maw of certain death, but he frantically looks around to his companions with the hope that one of them can wake the monk up...
Myastan Zayless
Daaaaa Bairs
Ravvek the Avenger
You are a ways away, but would you be able to catch Anton with a sanctuary? Ravvek will try to keep the attention of the owlbears while covering the retreat. I am hoping that Anton can burn rubber and GTFO, if we can get him awake...
Sashah
That was part of my plan. The irritation is the rules on bonus action spells. Why give me a spell I can cast as a bonus action if I can't cast another one as a regular action?
Sashah furrows his wrinkled brow as his eyes dart from Raavek, to Anton, and then to somewhere far south of Anton. He then begins moving, it turns into running surprisingly. He is running, full boar, straight at the large rock next to Zayless, his robe ends beginning to flap as he goes. Right before he collides with the rock, he reaches into a pouch and pulls out some silvery dust that he then drops. (Cast Misty Step) Sashah's entire body then dissolves into dust that looks the same. The dust then gets quickly carried by some unseen wind over toward the east and reforms into Sashah once more in the clearing just after the series of rocks. He then continues running until he is in the clearing straight south of Anton.
With a quick gesture, a bolt of fire materializes and races toward the different looking Owlbear (the red one) next to Anton. "Hey!" he shouts loudly "Come and get!"
