Uriah Lewis |
I can definitely spin a tale here...it involves a halfling, a dragon and a sharp pointy object. Uriah chimes in
Myastan Zayless |
"I am no expert but it should involve some actual detail of what we did and how we didn't meet complete failure." He winks at Uriah.
Greycastle |
After some back and forth the party determines that since the dragon had eaten the gnome remains, the two were now one. After scooping up the stomach contents (eewww) Raiden gauges a few dragon parts that would be about the same mass as the gnome and goes to work removing said parts. During this time Ravv and Scram get to work building yet another pyre to cremate the remains of ole Tick.
As you watch the fires smolder the thoughts of how this adventure and war has gone can’t be ignored. What was it all for? Soleil says a prayer once again blessing the ceremony and hoping that this will be the last one. Thelma can be seen swaying as if listening to music that is unheard by anyone else and occasionally talks to someone that isn’t there.

Insight: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Yay!
Ravvek looks at Thelma, then to another character in the party... Who am I looking at, DM?

It ain't happening twice. IVE STILL GOT CHARM PERSON READY TO GO!
Greycastle |
The urn, once again filled with ashes, is placed into Soleil’s backpack and she signals her readiness to leave this place. With Thelma’s promise of help to return home, you all head back to the area of the ruined city where you entered.
As you begin the journey back, you catch a glimps of the Honeybadger leader saluting you. You encounter the Miserables once again, thier line still holding with the help that you left for them.
You crawl back beneath the crumbling building that you arrived in and Thelma begins resetting the teleportation circle for travel often referencing a scroll she produces from her bag.
is there anything any of you want to do before leaving?
Sashah |
"Would you stop it!" Sashah chastises Anton while covering his hand. "You already had one bout of foolishness today. Don't be dense." The elder half-elf's face is a little red during his chastisement.
Ravvek the Avenger |
Ravvek smiles and looks to Scram, Come on, let us go home.
At Anton's response, Ravvek shakes his head, Friend Anton, calm yourself. Can't you see he is acknowledging that we are his superior? Let his take us as inspiration rather than insult.
Turning to Thelma, before she starts, the young paladin asks, Will you return with us?
Myastan Zayless |
Zayless laughs.

Anton fixes his gaze on Sasha. No more foolish than trying to satisfy an intellectual curiosity about a demon in the midst of of a battle...
They acted without honor or courage. They have earned my derision, nothing more. Perhaps shame will spur than to better themselves... coddling will not.
Anton looks at Sasha's hand and calmly says Now kindly remove that from my person.
Sashah |
Sashah takes his hand off of Anton and grumbles off, something about the foolishness of youth and pride.
Ravvek the Avenger |
Yeah, they stopped, but it seemed like it was more that the tide of battle had turned...

Uriah just plucks on his lyre
Brave Sir Anton, prickliest of knights, but not quite as prickly as Scramsax's knife....
Greycastle |
Appologies.
Thelma finishes her preparations for the spell and gathers everyone into the circle. Taking special focus on where everyone was standing. Occasionally during the process she stops and says something incohereant and then giggles. With a look around the room as if almost a final check, she begins chanting.
Sashah had been taking great care studying Thelma’s work and found the work to be sufficient enough. His eye for detail though catches an irregularity as Thelma comes to a crescendo. The spell finishes befor he can do anything to stop the ritual. The room is spinning now, warping like different colors of paint being mixed together. As the paint swirls blend together, they begin to form one solid color and the view of your new location begins to come into view.
The area is not familiar as you all look around dizzily. Immediately you all know something went wrong. This is not the tower you teleported from. You find yourself in a copse of trees. Looking around further, you realize that Thelma Soleil and Scramsax are gone.
Back in Mulmaster
In a flash of blue light everyone disappears with the exception of Thelma and Scramsax. The strange woman looks over to Scramsax and smiles. ”Finally, we can be alone. “
farewell Scram, hope to see you back sometime in the future.
as to the next installment, I may take a week. I’m running a live game the next couple of weeks and it’s affected the time I spend prepping. I’m not as proficient at DMing as others I know lol.

Heh, Thelma is no half-orc but she will do I suppose. Thanks again for running, I'll hopefully return when my life isnt sucking so bad.

Still reeling from the teleportation mishap, the party attempts to regain their bearings. Obviously not in the location they were supposed to be the magic still had one positive effect. Everyone feels revived and rested as if just waking from a long night’s rest. Just how long were you stuck in that teleportation process?
The surrounding wood is composed mostly of young trees clogged with underbrush. The woodlands, except for on a nearby game trail, are difficult terrain because of the thick undergrowth.
Light filters through the canopy and the air is sharp with smell of pine needles, with an occasional whiff of animal spoor or a late blooming bush.
A forest this dense and large should be filled with raucous noise, sounds of small birds, squirrels, raccoons, and a multitude of other animals. Instead it eerily quiet except for a few insects and the occasional bird.
lets have everyone check in and we’ll get this thread moving.
Ravvek the Avenger |
Ravvek takes a deep breath, drinking in the smells of nature, Scramsax, may you have many adventures, my friend. May our paths cross again...
Rav checking in!
Raiden Bartok |
Raiden looks around, takes a few steps, and realizes party members are missing. Where....where are Scramsax and Soleil? And that tea lady? He looks around more. For that matter, where are we?!
Greycastle |
Are we keeping this thread, or creating a new one with the new adventure?
I figured to just keep this thread.
Myastan Zayless |
"I think its a forest." Zayless intones as if that answered the question. "Strange."
Ravvek the Avenger |
I do not know, but it looks like it might be one of the Enclave's groves... Ravvek shrugs, but looks for any sign amongst the trees...
Greycastle |
ill send a message to the other two tonight in case they aren’t getting updates.
As you all begin looking around the surrounding forest trying to assess your location, you begin to hear the sound of what seems be a large animal slowing moving through the wood nearby. It doesn’t seem to be heading directly toward your location but moving by almost parallel.
You believe it may be more than one creature but not more than two.
Ravvek the Avenger |
Ravvek looks around, flexing his hands then shaking them out, ready for an attack... Keep following the trail, but be ready, the paladin keeps his voice low and calm.
Myastan Zayless |
Zayless looks about.
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 1
He finds himself preoccupied with a strap on his gear out of place and fidgits with it.
"Ready for what?" He asks after Ravvek's warning.
He turns away and speaks to thin air, "Where have you sent me now. What am I being punished for this time."
Raiden Bartok |
Raiden hears it, and attempts to move off to the side to maybe get a glimpse of whatever it is. He's sort of used to Zayless talking to himself but still gives him a raised eyebrow.
Greycastle |
You definitely see movement in the trees and as you all are moving to get a better look, the creatures stop and change direction toward you picking up pace.
Bursting from the foliage ahead of you, you see two large creatures covered in feathers with large talons for claws. Their face, that of an owl but the body of a large bear. With a wailing screech, the creatures move to attack.

Sashah's eyes finally open as he get's up (an action filled with innumerable groans). He says a quick and familiar prayer and then casually begins brushing the woodland detritus off of his robes. Stand, sanctuary, harass my team

Ravvek grunts as he pulls back from the creature!
Concentration: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 divine favor drops...
@&#*!! Rav swears in a very un-paladin-like manner. Then responding to Raiden, I don't know, some kind of Owl... bear?
If the one that attacked Rav is still alive, he attacks that one, if not, the other one.
