I'm thinking of 1 Frost Giant Jarl + 1 Very Old White Dragon for an EL 18 encounter.

The map will be this: http://www.hwx.it/coco/

The ceiling is 40' high. The dark grey shapes are pillars that reach the roof and the light grey blobs are 5' high rocks.

OK, I'll get my characters updated tonight.

What is that map thing? It's pretty cool!
[bookmarked for later.]

How does it work?

It's the Core Coliseum (a WotC message board) arena map generator. There's some quick documentation at the bottom of the page. Basically you pick "pins" in various colors using the "P" buttons and click on where you want to position them on the map. Then you can click the "Generate Map & Tag" button to link to an image showing where everyone is.

Here's a link to the Core Coliseum (3.5 arena fighting using the rules from d20srd.org):

Bart's now updated. You get a LOT of gold at 18th level. I shudder to think what 20th level will look like!

Sleepy Monk is almost ready. I have most of him complete - just need to double check the numbers and maybe find something to help him keep up with Grumble (not likely).

Tialla is back. Gods above 18th level is a pain to build.

I'm going to leave out Strangler McGee; a party of 5 characters should be enough to take on a challenge where EL = ECL.

OK, Sleepy is ready. I've changed him around a bit so he is a dex-based attacker instead of a str-based one. This boosts both offense and defense a bit, hopefully keeping him in the middle of the fray for a bit.

The game thread is up here:

I wish you could imbed pictures on this board...

Grumble grumbles about not being prepared...

Sorry forgot last night was the kids open house...so I started to get them updated, but 2 characters takes a little more time heh.

Just curious, Sleepy -- how much "Pathfinderizing" did you do on the horned devil & company for the playtest?

It just occurred to me that I might need to rejigger the frost giant jarl's saves (since Jason changed the way base saves work for prestige classes).

I didn't do anything - they were straight out of the SRD.

That wasn't possible with the dragon, of course; I needed to pick feats and skills. But I used the 1 per 3 HD feat rule from 3.5, not 1 per 2 HD.

This sounds pretty cool; will be fun to watch what happens.
