Good fic, good fic, never managed to finish it sadly. I suppose that happens when you try reading a fanfic of a book series you've never read.
Also, a shame Jeremiah left the room. He'd have been very impressed with Brian's reasoning skills and knowledge about historical events.
Uret Jet
Hmm... I'm debating weather I should have Jeremiah be an actual Witch instead of an Unlettered Arcanist, if anything so I could provide as a more effective healer. Any thoughts on that there?

@Lanx, re: Initiative:
No, nothing so complicated. Just, whenever you say "combat begins", just roll dice. Like, let's say the bad guys are +4 to Init, your post would look like this:
Initiative bad guys: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Initiative Toby: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Initiative Jerimiah: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Initiative Dmitri: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Initiative Brian: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Initiative Justin: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Then, if you want, you could re-post to combat order, using Block Initiative order::
Toby, Dmitri.
Bad guys
Justin, Brian, Jerimiah
Then Toby and Dmitri get some actions, then the bad guys go, then the rest of the party, repeat.
In this instance the bad guys got surprise, so they go first (which makes rolling for Initiative redundant, since it's a: bad guys, party, bad guys, party: turn order.)
Just an idea to make things easier and quicker. PbP runs on pace. =)

YOU RUN ON PACE.
Ahhh, MegaTokyo xD That's something I haven't visited in awhile - thanks for the reminder to check it out!
I'm surprised it's still going on xD Last time I read it was... '08? '07-ish? xD Looks like I'll have something else to add to my list of Ways to Enjoy My Days Off.
Uret Jet
Can't recall the last time I'd read it... been at least that long, maybe more.
Justin "TD" Ray
Haha, I would've kept up with it, but I was without Internet growing up. Now that I've my own apartment and Net, I can finally catch up on all the life that I've missed out on! xD
Justin "TD" Ray
I don't think we are. DM might just be getting caught-up with IRL stuffs. Hopefully he comes back soon O: I'm ready to slay some woofie bark-barks.
Uret Jet
That dosn't sound pleasant, I hope you'll be alright.

1) Whoa. Migraines and nosebleeds sound serious. Yeah, you gotta take care of that. I hope it's just an alergy or a passing cold and not something serious. =)
2) I like the in-text combat map. It helps people who have trouble going to googledocs or roll20 to see the combat.
3) Mind you, it looks awkward. I think in Paizo's font, the period "." takes up less space than a letter, so the grid is off. Can I try an experiment?
This is the current map:
..........
..24A6....
.D1TO5....
........E3...
....J...B...
What if we replaces all the periods with under-scores?
__________
__24A6____
_D1TO5____
______E3__
__J__B____
How does that look? To me, in my browser, that is a little bit easier to keep track of, to see the relation of the figures more accurately.
I dunno, might jsut be me. Just thought I'd throw that out there. =)
Justin "TD" Ray
I was in the hospital...I am very sorry for my absence. Especially in the beginning of a combat scene. Deeply sorry.
A la madre, at least you're okay! O: Migraines suck hardcore - hopefully it'll get better for you. I know this weather takes it toll on me too, but not to that extent.
@Atlas,
You clever bastard..

For those who don't know, among us Irish the term 'bastard' is a term of endearment. Something about how there are more people of Irish descent living in the US than in Ireland. ^_^
Hey, minor request: Can everyone named Toby and Justin please update their action bar to include minor details like hit points? I'm tottaly open to doing something stupid heroic, but I need to know that you're in trouble first, Ne\/\/b5. =)
Uret Jet
I concur, and recall that Jeremiah has healing! He'll come over and give you a recovery slap if you need it.

Oh really? That works out great for me then because I'm half Irish xD You wouldn't be able to tell though because my Mexican features are dominant. xD
And OH ALL RIGHT I'll ups the date right now, but only because we're distant cousins or somethingns. xD

TD's new and improved, updated HeroLab Character sheet ^^
Best $50 ever spent
Justin "TD" Ray
Uret Jet
So THAT'S what hero lab does. Pretty neat man!
Justin "TD" Ray
Yup, yup! ^^ And it supports all different types of modules, like Call of Cthulhu and Savage Worlds. It basically just compiles everything you need during character creation and makes it easier for you. You can even use it while you're mid-game to track your HP, to make any rolls/checks, and DM's can use it in world-building. It's $30 for the base program, and extra for any other add-on's you want included (It was $19.98 for the "Ultimate Combat" and "Advanced Race Guide" books to be included on mine, thus why it was roughly 50 dollars for me).
It's a really great program, and it's easy to use xD I didn't have to get any tutorials or help to figure it out. When you're ready for your character sheet to be printed or converted into PDF, it arranges everything into the nice little character sheet you see there :)
It's not as detailed as the ones I used from HERE but the fact that it fills in all the information for you and includes EVERYTHING (items, feats, traits, et cetera [as long they're included in the packs you've bought]) it really makes it worth it imo.
Granted, I would prefer the minotuar.cc sheets if I were going to be playing at the tabletop - since they're not virtually editable like HeroLab's character sheets are it's a hassle to try and edit them with Adobe or other programs, and I do enjoy having the old pen-and-paper, especially with how detailed they are - but seeing as we're doing Virtual Tabletopping, I think HeroLab does more than satisfactory with how quickly and nicely you can put together a character sheet :)

Sounds like it could make things very useful indeed. Personally I default to mythweavers every time, but I love how pretty that all comes out.
Justin "TD" Ray
Naturally for me, HeroLab is going to be my default now (it'd be a gross waste of money if I didn't xD) - I didn't come across Mythweavers when I was looking at CS generators though o:
Also, the more I look at the image I used for my character's portrait, the more it looks like I took it with my cellphone first xD Which I didn't! I just altered the shading a little and added a focus effect! xD

"Hey, come take a pic of me with this phone. I look like a badass"
"Your electronic devices were not permitted–"
"BADASS!"
Uret Jet
Hmmm, I've never attempted to multi-class before, so I'm fuzzy on the details. If I took my first sorcerer level next, would my CLW remain 1d8+2, or become 1d8+3? Essentially, am I caster level three, or caster level 2/1?
Ah,,and something else I wonder. Are we counting both classes as favored, or just our initial?
Brian WhiteAngel

It's the caster level of the caster spells from which you are casting the spell. Hence, if you were cleric 1/druid 1, both of them could cast CLW, but you'd only by CL1 for whenever you cast the spell. (So, I guess in your example, the latter, rather than the former. ^_^)
Favored Class is usually set at character creation, and you usually only get one. ("Each character begins play with a single favored class of his choosing")
Uret Jet
Hm, makes the idea of gaining a level in a different class kinda unappealing then, if I'd be that far behind with my heals. Arcanists are already a little behind in that sense too, with how their spells are set up. Becoming full level in two classes will be cool, just need to figure out how I wanna do that first.
Technical Difficulty
("Each character begins play with a single favored class of his choosing")
Unless you're a Half-Elf! Or any race that has the Multi-talented trait because then its..
"Half-elves choose two favored classes at first level and gain +1 hit point or +1 skill point whenever they take a level in either one of those classes."
Uret Jet
indeed indeed. If we're going to see NATURE druids, then this'd be a great time for him to have his Sylvyan bloodline awoken, but not if he'd loose out on his ability to heal you all well.

Actually, Uret, the thing you're describing is something I have some knowledge of. The Sorc/cleric build is widely discussed as a viable option to go Mystic Theurge.
If you do go on this path, my advice would be to be appreciably effective in one class before making the transition.
Mind you, I assume that our DM won't just be saying "You gain a level" but rather will hand out XP, so if we're a 6th level party, you'll have a better time first going to 6th level sorc and casting 3rd lvl spells, than you might as a 3/3 and only using 2nd lvls.
(Hee, do what you want, but I was totally gonna go for Mystic Theurge. :p)
Uret Jet
I'm not planning on taking any prestige classes, myself. I can see the appeal, but just ain't my thing personally. Plus, he's going to be full arcane either way, unless witch spells are actually divine rather then arcane. The only thing I'm really 'building for', is getting a kickass animal companion once I get my bloodline. Using a custom feat which Lanx was gracious in letting me have, that animal companion will one day be Jeremiah's rat.
