Chuffy claims a bottle of fire before greedy poog and mogmurch try taking all the fun fire yet again. He also grabs the gold necklace and puts it around his neck "Hehehe now we really look like Chief!" He then steals a hunk of that ham.. because he can. Sleight of 'Ham': 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

"We go check out tree, don't throw fire at us and be quiet! Chuffy don't want to die again, it hurts!" He says mumbling a bit through a mouthful of ham. Take 10 on stealth for a 30

This towering oak casts shade over much of the clearing, its canopy taller than the other trees in the forest. Looking under it, among the roots, you spot several excellent truffles. Indeed Squealy is living up to his name and rooting around! He comes up with a truffle the size of your fists.

MOgmurch looks at the truffle Squealy brought up... and looks around at the other truffles under the tree.

Chuffy sneaks around but stops to check out the impressive 'shroom' none the less. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 His eyes go wide with excitement but his mouth stays silent. Ooo King... the gifts we'd receive for that truffle back at the camp!

Reta looks around carefully.

Chuffy spots the strange vine wrapped around the tree, and once pointed out, Mogmurch can tell you that it is an assassin vine and they like to eat people... and GOBLINS!

Chuffy squeeks and moves away from the giant moving vine "Its ALIVE! Don't let it eat you!" Well, better you than us!

He moves away and draw out his handcrossbow loaded with his newly poisoned fire bolts and fires, hoping to get the vine thing where it hurts... Wonder where vines hurt most... here? He takes a guess.

I don't remember if they can be sneak attacked or poisoned.. not likely but hey that's what he'd do.

Reta sees if the vine is ease to slice.

She finds it very easy to slice, and squeals in glee as her blade gets it.

Poog tries to fire off a bolt of fire at the the vine

Mogmurch takes a 5' steps to stand behind Reta and quickly covers his own armor and Reta's in defoliant polish.

"Me save you, Reta!"

Unfortunately Chuffy's bolt misses! However Reta's slicing cuts deeply into it! Poog's fire bolt hits, but the plant shows no damage from it! Fire resistance! Mogmurch polishes his armor and Reta's in sticky goop!

The vine darts out at Reta! Slam vs Reta: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 However it misses by inches!

Goblins are up!

Mogmurch drinks an extract of elemental touch and tries to touch a tendril of the moving plant..

Chuffy screeches as his bolt misses, then cocks his head to the side as Poog's fire doesn't burn. "A plant that don't burn? We gotta kill dis else no more good truffles no more!" He then cautiously moves out and around, putting his stabber in his good hand, diving down through the leaves to try to avoid any whipping vines. Gray line for movement. Acrobatics to avoid AOOs last two squares: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

Reta gives the slow, creepy version of her scary grin. Then she lifts her blade to slice, and maybe dice, and just maybe even puree the icky plant.

Poog gives a frustrated groan and begins to cast Zarongels Divine Favor on himself and squealy nord

Mog's acidic touch seems to burn the plant, which recoils slightly. Chuffy tumbles around it! Reta cuts away even more at the thing, while Poog casts!

The plant seems to reorient on Mogmurch! SLam vs Mog: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 for 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 damage! Still it cannot seem to land the blow! However it seems to spasm slightly and all around, the grass and plants seem to come alive! Reflex DC 13 or be entangled!

He squints his eyes as King Bubble blurts out his two coppers with a slow rolling drop of puss running down Chuffy's nose. Yes you too King, Chuffy sorry.

He looks across to see Reta and waves and stabs at the viney thing where it looks most squishy and soft. Melee Attack w/ +1 Poisoned Dogslicer + Flank: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 10 + 2 = 311d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + (5, 5) = 12

Reta is growing very frustrated with this plant. She keeps slicing it, but it doesn't seem effective enough. She grins at the plant as the grass grabs at her.

Then Reta lifts her dogslicer high and slams it into the plant.

Mog downs a potions, while Chuffy cuts deep into the vine. Reta, too, carves into it, while Poog slashes and Squealy Nord makes a very valiant effort to look fierce! Under this assault the vine is chopped into chunks and goes limp, while the grass stops struggling.

Everything is quiet for a moment. Then there is a horrid screech that erupts from the ruined silo! "DAMNABLE INTERUPTIONS! CAN'T A GIRL TAKE A LAMASHTU-DAMNED NAP IN PEACE?!?"

Flying from the silo is a woman with bird wings and bird claws. She soars into the air above you and snarls as she sees you below. "Goblins. I shoulda known. Vermin every one of you!"

Reta moves a bit closer, drawing out her bow as she does so. Then she points her bow at the monster-woman and shoots.

Reta dances with joy as her arrow hits the flying monster-lady hard.

Reta's arrow hits hard, sticking into the harpy's thigh! She chokes out a curse, then begins to sing! Will Save DC 16 or be captivated! A creature that successfully saves is not subject to the same harpy’s song for 24 hours. A victim under the effects of the captivating song moves toward the harpy using the most direct means available. If the path leads them into a dangerous area such as through fire or off a cliff, that creature receives a second saving throw to end the effect before moving into peril. Captivated creatures can take no actions other than to defend themselves. A victim within 5 feet of the harpy simply stands and offers no resistance to the harpy’s attacks. This effect continues for as long as the harpy sings and for 1 round thereafter. This is a sonic mind-affecting charm effect.

Poog, Chuffy and Mogmurch!

"You sing like you got mouthful of sharp rocks! Poog such a sucker for rocks!"

Poog is charmed! Chuffy is reloading! Mogmurch is grinding XP for raids!

Reta is up!

Reta listens for a second to the harpy's 'music.'

Reta and Mogmurch join Poog is vapidly following the harpy's song! She continues to sing, while unslinging a morningstar and smiling with a predator's grin.

Chuffy looks at the others as they dance their way towards the bird-lady We are best chief, best chiefs no dance, they STAB!

"Hey bird face, rock mouther, you like fire?" He steps forward a bit now that his crossbow is reloaded and fires off the flaming, poisoned bolt. Then reloads once more.

Chuffy looks a bit surprised at the flying screeching fury that just slammed him "Reta ugly-face! Get back here and stab it!" He draws out his own dogslicer and gives her a stab of his own.

Reta moves up to the monster-lady, switching to her dogslicer as she does so. Then she tries to slice, dice, and puree the monster-lady with a big Reta grin.

Chuffy gives Reta a wave when she joins the fight "What take so long? We were gettin' bored all by ourselfs!" He then stabs upward with his dogslicer towards her soft belly bits.

But the crazy explosion distracts him as he ooos and ahhhhs it and stabs at air. "Whhaa? Dang Mogmurch!"

Mogmurch's bomb proves to be a very effective anti-harpy weapon! There is an explosion of feathers and gore and then there is a very dead harpy lying on the ground near your feet!

Squealy Nord proves to be the trufflest-findin' pig you ever done did see, and laden with sacks of delicious truffles, you head back to the Birdcruncher caves!

You expect your reception to be heroic, but instead of being greeted by throngs of adoring subjects, you hear screams and shouts! Shouts and screams pierce the air surrounding the Birdcruncher cave. The smell of the feast is... different. Mixed into the scent is a greasy smell peppered with burning wood, straw, and sulfur. The smell might even be goblin—cooking goblin. A ll of the preparations are in shambles. The tables are overturned, the cook pots have been knocked over, and the goblin dog pens are on fire.

A goblin you recognize as Reg Runtweed, a tinker if ever there was one, races toward you, clearly burned. "Oh esteemed chiefs, I have F*CKED UP!" Behind him you see a gigantic THING stalk into view! It's easily twice the size of a Longshanks, created from bits of pieces including a cauldron and an oven, a pumpkin topped with a goblin skull and tied together with fireworks! "I wanted to make something beautiful for you, so I found all sorts of thing your chiefships have done or destroyed. I even found the skull of the cannibal Vorka! Except... now I am thinking she am possessing the statue I make for you. EEEP." He shrieks in pain as a firework launches from the monstrosity and hits him squarely in the backside, propelling him shrieking into the caves!

And then the thing sees you...

Why do I have a bad feeling I won't actually hurt it?

Chuffy looks at Runtweed with anger in his eyes "You RUINED MY PARTY!" He's about to exact revenge when he sees the huge creature Wow, that thing looks cool!

He smiles a bit when Reta heads right in and follows suit, drawing his hand crossbow, still loaded with the firey, poisoned stabby from earlier and shoots, hoping to catch it unaware.

Poog fumbles through his bag for his fire stick Vorka died good to fire!

and throws off a ball of flames at its head!

Reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 14 The effigy manages to stumble aside as the fireball erupts! Chuffy and Reta's shots both hit, and the thing lets out a loud wail of anger that echoes across the caves!

Mogmurch is up!

Mogmurch moves up next to Chuffy and tosses an explosive bomb at the monstrosity.

Mog's explosive rocks the thing backwards, but it doesn't fall. It does however let out a gurgling noise and charge at Mogmurch and Chuffy, trying to trample them! Targets of a trample can make an attack of opportunity, but at a –4 penalty. If targets forgo an attack of opportunity, they can attempt to avoid the trampling creature and receive a Reflex save to take half damage.

Damage!: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 damage!

Plus a firework launches off and hits 1-Chuffy, 2 Mogmurch: 1d2 ⇒ 1 for 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10 fire damage, Reflex save DC 15 for half!

Goblins are up!

Chuffy decides to get out of the way, better part of valor and all. Having evasion makes this decision much easier!

A smug look crosses his face as he avoids the lumbering creation, the look goes away quickly when a streaking firework hits him in the rearend. "Yoowiee!"
