That's what I meant by "As the guards move closer", maybe I should have specified the exact distance but the closer they get the sooner they may recognize the ruse. In the future I will specify a more accurate distance.

I believe Kalethe has one dagger (he had been using it on the guard, not sure if he kept it...) and Dog Tooth took the other one from me, assuming we acted on what he mentioned in discussion If not, I have it, but will gladly relenquish it to the first person who asks.
Edit:
@Ash...Don't you get longbow and longsword proficiency as an elf or did you sub that out?
Dog Tooth
Coming with a combat use for Dog Tooth is a challenge. I've been thinking of builds to make him useful but I thought I'd ask you guys.
How would you like to see Dog Tooth used during combat? What would his role be?
I'm looking for something not too feat intensive. I've already decided on having him craft alchemical weapons at some point, so expect that.
Ashmoniel Augmirina
It's no problem about the dagger, probably came across a bit more negative than I actually felt (I wrote that at lunchtime after a rough morning at work). I'll grab a crossbow at some point. That said, if you're happy to part with the dagger I'll gladly take it.
In answer to Dog Tooth - at this level, a crossbow covers a multitude of sins. Actually, given your Dex, it'd be a pretty mighty tool in your hands.
Dog Tooth
So I picked up the Alchemy Manual and there's a bunch of awesome things that I'm interested in learning along the way.
Would you allow the crafting of alchemical bolts?
I figured Dog Tooth would keep a set of "trick" bolts for his light crossbow along with other alchemical weapons for special occasions.
Also, re: my earlier post about combat role
I'm going to go with a jack of all trades type role. Melee with rapier (definitely taking fencing grace when that's out), a bit of control with various alchemical weapons, and range with a light crossbow +alchemical bolts (if allowed).

Come on, Dog Tooth...don't let our height hold us back! You hold the bow and I'll pull back the string!
Ami Fyora
Ha! I'm pretty sure this will end in something like, "Ow! That's my eye!"
The guard's eye, right? Because it would work so well? ;)
Dog Tooth
You guys are right. I should've tried the shot. If only I made a stellar Knowledge Engineering check to bounce the arrow off the walls and into the guard's throat.
Ami Fyora
Thanks. I totally forgot about the map, because half the time I can't move it. So ditto to what Ash said, feel free to move it whenever.
Dog Tooth
XD Indeed you're not rolling the social skills well.
Which is fine by me! He's spent most of his life as a lab lackey, slaving away for his comically villainous Dick-Dastadly-esque Alchemist/Evil Scientist-type. Horrible social rolls are perfectly in character, and I kind of welcome them (as long as it doesn't ruin things for everyone else).

I really think that the best way for us to get out is to simply think good plans for taking each pair or lone guard we find so they don't sound the alarm as sneaking out doesn't sound like an option. Of course the more we try this the more probable is that we won't get one of the guards by surprise but the only thing I'm really worried about is the Warden since he is a wizards and wizards can be deadly to low level parties, actually to high level too XD. We have after all both a paladin and a monk plus a whatever Grumblejack is.
Dog Tooth
Hope I'm not derailing. I just don't see DT as being useful in combat so he's scouting around for supplies or anything that could be useful in their escape. If y'all are ready to go on with the plan, go for it. Sorry!

No problem it's just i think if anything goes wrong and we are all together we still should be able to deal with it. (Since if we add Grumble jack we have 3 front liners) but it's different if we're separated.
ElenionAncalima
Yeah, while I like to be caution...one solo guard is probably going to have a bad day...Especially since all our melee people are ready to go...and the rest of us aren't exactly far from the hallway.
My initial hesitance was seeing how much I could manipulate the servants...but I think they are running out of ways to help us.
ElenionAncalima
I think we have them under control for now. They would have to get through three of us to get away.
Ami still wants to hang onto them for a while because:
a)If we screw up and get in a bad situation with the guards, she wants to be able to pull the "drop your weapons and any horns or they die" card.
b)She is actually thinking about letting them live...if we can "accidentally" let them overhear fake information about where we are going...possibly even incriminating Blackerly in our escape.
Also @GM
I made a minor fix. I realize Itzal's initiative should be a +4, not a +3.

I misunderstood where the office is, actually. I thought it was the room to the north of the dining room, and I'd left them just on the other side of the door whilst going into the office. Um... not quite sure how to resolve that one.
ElenionAncalima
Regarding the forgery:
No problem. Totally my fault. Something pretty urgent came up right as I was in the middle of writing that post, so just rushed through that last part and took 20 to finish it faster without really checking the rules. Sorry about that.
You can go ahead and roll for me. Worst case scenario they figure it out and we are no worse off, aside from me gaining a cute footnote on my criminal record ;) ...which does kind of make me want to keep track of our criminal records for the lolz...
Regarding the hostages:
I assumed they were following me based on this post...but I don't think it was ever addressed directly, so that might be another my bad for assuming.
My interpretation of events was:
-They followed me to the the office.
-I left them with Ash to go talk to Dog Tooth.
-Iana came and took one from Ash back to the kitchen/dining area
-Ash brought the remaining hostage into the supply room
However, as long as someone is with them, I think we are fine, haha. I would just assume we each have one at this point, unless you particularly want both...in which case go for it.

Putting this part in discussion:
The biggest reason I want to take out the Warden is (and these are IC reasons as well):
1. He likely does not have a horn.
2. None of our interrogations have suggested extra guards in the tower with him.
3. I have no idea how to get to the man on the gatehouse without alerting him. So, I expect he will be blowing the horn.
4. If I have to face a mage, I'd rather face him without his meatshields.
And OOC, that's probably where all the best loot is.
Ami Fyora
@Ash: Just to clarify, when you say you are taking the writing supplies are you asking me not to take them or did you just not think anyone had them? Or a combination of both, lol.
Ami Fyora
You may be right. I do remember somebody mentioning less wall guards...but I couldn't remember if it was an actual thing or a failed perception, lol.
Ashmoniel Augmirina
Ah, taking any writing supplies you haven't taken, was the implication. I wasn't sure about all the loose-leafs of paper, and particularly the ones torn from the journal. There could be valuable intelligence in there!
Ami Fyora
Ami would probably vote to deal with the Warden before spending a lot of time going through his stuff.
Brass Legionary
GM Eats the Eyes, I recently got Champions of Corruption, and there is a Paladin archetype there which exchanges spells for an aura type ability (Spending uses of the touch of corruption ability) which begins at level four, since we're still level one would it be alright if I take that archetype?
Ami Fyora
Where is the fun in everything in everything going smoothly... ;)
At least Iana is one of the people with the best shot at succeeding that sense motive.
Iana
Yeah until now everything went according to plan, no mishaps the worst thing that happened was some bad rolls in non necessary things.
Still I wish I had made that roll.
