Bluff 7, Diplomacy 8, Disguise 9, Intimidate 7, Knowledge (religion) 5, Sense Motive 7. Class Abilities:
Smite Good (Su): Once per day, an antipaladin can call out to the dark powers to crush the forces of good. As a swift action, the antipaladin chooses one target within sight to smite. If this target is good, the antipaladin adds his Charisma bonus (if any) on his attack rolls and adds his antipaladin level on all damage rolls made against the target of his smite. If the target of smite good is an outsider with the good subtype, a good-aligned dragon, or a good creature with levels of cleric or paladin, the bonus to damage on the first successful attack increases to 2 points of damage per level the antipaladin possesses. Regardless of the target, smite good attacks automatically bypass any DR the creature might possess. In addition, while smite good is in effect, the antipaladin gains a deflection bonus equal to his Charisma modifier (if any) to his AC against attacks made by the target of the smite. If the antipaladin targets a creature that is not good, the smite is wasted with no effect. The smite good effect remains until the target of the smite is dead or the next time the antipaladin rests and regains his uses of this ability. At 4th level, and at every three levels thereafter, the antipaladin may smite good one additional time per day, as indicated on Table: Antipaladin, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level. Aura of Evil (Ex): The power of an antipaladin’s aura of evil (see the detect evil spell) is equal to his antipaladin level. A paladin who uses smite evil on an antipaladin deals 2 points of damage per paladin level on his first successful attack. Detect Good (Sp):At will, an antipaladin can use detect good, as the spell. An antipaladin can, as a move action, concentrate on a single Item or individual within 60 feet and determine if it is good, learning the strength of its aura as if having studied it for 3 rounds. While focusing on one individual or object, the antipaladin does not detect good in any other object or individual within range.

Iana is a tall sultry woman with bronze skin covered in patterns of crimson scales, her eyes are exotic with slit pupils and a strange golden color, her ears are slightly pointed, and her hair is a long deep black which she generally holds in a braided bun to keep it from bothering her during combat. Background:
Iana was found as a baby by Sir Balin when he went after a cult of tieflings, when he found the toddler, the knight felt mercy was needed in her case sparing the child and providing a home for her. But while Sir Balin felt it was right to grant mercy, others didn't see it so, and Iana grew facing prejudice, for though she could easily pass as human in the street she could not hide her strange eyes from acquaintances.
For Iana's blood called to her, she liked being feared, she liked to see the other children crying faces once they lost. And she could not accept that she should act with kindness and respect for these without any power. Yet Iana went to church many times, during childhood though she knew it not, she was seeking a purpose. Yes the violence and fear were delightful, but they weren’t enough. And ironically it was at church she found her purpose, for once when she was there, Iana found the priest was away, and curious about the rest of the church Iana began to explore, and perchance, or as she would say it: “Milord’s servants guided me…” to a room full of books scheduled to be burned, and among them Lani found the “Asmodean Monograph”, religious commentaries, and other books deemed heretic. Curious Iana began to scroll through them, and as she did she became fascinated. Here was order, purpose, but without these useless precepts of equality and mercy. Iana stole the books, not all of them of course, only two the Monograph, and a commentary by an asmodean cleric, born in Talingarde. From that day onwards Iana studied both books, once she had read them both she carved with her adoptive fathers tools a pentagon, the holy symbol of her newfound deity. After finding the Monograph Lani changed, though her parents knew not the reason, she stopped seeking fights, and she began to act politely, and obediently. They foolish though this was some form of repentance, a change for the better, but it was nothing of the sort, Iana was still feared among these of her age, but now she had learned a bit of subtlety. She needed not beat the other children to get what she wanted, she could simply intimidate them. Indeed the children fond this new Iana even more frightening. And as girl now had a purpose, she mostly gave up on frightening and torturing for enjoyment. She planned, studied, and prayed. Asmodeus of course had nothing like an official church in Talingarde so Iana decided to use as a holy ground the cemetery where the commentary writer had been buried years before. There she made an oath to herself and her god: “Oh great lord! Lord of the nine, this worthless servant as she may be, vows to deliver to you a Talingarde of worshipers and servants. And should I fail then I hope and desire that my punishment be the greatest of all.” Iana of course didn’t think doing it was going to be easy, and she knew she needed more skills than she had. Thus the girl asked of all persons the help of Sir Balin, she asked to her merciful patron for a chance to become a knight's squire. She pleaded she felt it was her duty and fate to repent for her sinful heritage. “Please sir, you once granted mercy to a tainted child, I beseech you grant me the power to prove you right.” Sir Balin, thought about the request for some time before granting it, he contacted a friend a hedge but very honorable knight named Gant, having reached puberty Iana felt restless, like many other at her age, and she welcomed the chance to travel even if still only inside the kingdom. Gant was a hard and solitary man, he would avoid conversation unless it pertained to training. A very hard training, still Iana was determined, and blessed with great strength, though her body was a bit fragile. Even if one is determined to be unapproachable two people living on the road cannot avoid forming a bond, and learning something about each other, Gant learned Iana was a brave serious girl who enjoyed fighting. While Iana learned that Gant had been married once, with three children, and that all of his family had been killed by thieves one night he was seeking a evil sorcerer. Now upon learning this Iana decided upon her first true task for her lord she would corrupt Gant and bring the knight to the service of Asmodeus and herself. Thus from that moment onwards Iana began a game of seduction around the middle-aged knight. She had deduced rightly that in a perverse self-punishment Gant had avoided both the company of women, and other pleasures. So when they came upon towns she would be sure to get drinks for both of them. She would make sure to send subtle suggestions with her body. To show some more skin than what was “appropriate”. Though it turned to be much harder than Iana had first considered, one day she finally managed to break Gant’s will. And once they had once laid together, it was easy to make so it happened more times. And every night as they lay together in the same bedroll or bed of an inn, Iana would whisper in Gant’s ear. That the kingdom should be responsible for his lost family, and not him. That it was the weakness of the king that had brought the death of his wife and son. So she began, for half an year she did so, till she felt it was appropriate to begin to corrupt his belief for Mitra. It would take 2 more years before he was converted to a worshiper of Asmodeus, and in truth a follower of Iana. Unfortunately Iana became overconfident with her success, difficult as it had been she thought she could perhaps even convert more knights of Talingarde. She thought to convert the friends of Sir Balin, till only Sir Balin would be left. But that was too much for Iana. She converted another of Sir Balin acquaintances, but in the end she and her new followers were discovered by Sir Balin. Digusted Sir Balin declared as she was taken for trial: “I have never regretted something more than not killing you then! You spread your lies to a friend I had to kill with my own hands!” For when they were captured Sir Gant vainly tried to defend Iana so she would escape.
Personality:
Blessed with many skills and influenced by her rakshasa blood Iana is an arrogant and cruel woman, she delights in people suffering, and feels no regret in liying or using others even these that she does have affection for like her deceased teacher, lover and subordinate Gant. At her core exist a strong will with discipline capable of forgoing enjoyment and enduring much for her objectives. |
