Initiative is something I don't mind the GM rolling. It might get combat rolling more quickly.
Does anyone have that orison that grants a temporary hitpoint? Virtue, I think its called. I'd really like to be able to do something beyond intimidating.

Hey, I was just thinking something, and it might not be appropriate at all, but would you like an Assistant DM, flykiller?
I've seen a few people post on the boards to be things like that.
I could be totally out of line, but thought I would throw it out there. No offense intended.
Being a fairly new DM myself, it's hard for me to imagine how an Assistant DM would work. E.g. how much communication will be required and how to ensure we don't post different things at around the same time. But I'm willing to consider the idea.

The guards' BAB is +2 and their Dex is 13, so I would think their Atk modifier with longbow should be +3, but it's +2 in the stat block... I'm ruling in the players' favor.

Also, I apologize if I seem a little ditzy. The character is supposed to be, a little. (low Wis, low Int), but SAD is really kicking me a new one. :( Sleeping order is all messed up and I feel out of it through most afternoons.
Okay, so a quick question just to show I'm still Active. :P
Does the disguise self which I can use to take the shape of any humanoid creature, allow me to take the shape of any humanoid creature? Or does it have to be someone who's level is comparable to mine. Could I take the appearance of a 20th level celestial sorceress for example, complete with wings? I won't be using it now, but in the future, it might be nice to know if something like that is possible?

I have not logged into the site for about a week, and I don't think its fair to the group. I may or may not ask to come back, but I do know that right now I should not be here, and it is better if I replaced.

We've had a fairly leisurely pace, Kyrul, so don't worry on our behalf. Do what needs doing, and we'll trust your judgment. So far, though, no foul from my perspective.
I myself am neck deep in cramming and crying as I try to make it through this week of finals. I am actually glad that we're taking it this slow at the moment, because it gives me more time to finish the semester out. My post quality hopefully won't be affected that much.
Kyrul - I am being slow myself, for which I am very sorry but time just keeps slipping away between all the RL chores. Unless you want to cut this game off, you're welcome to stay. If you don't want to, I will have a replacement found.
Mordred - I've had my share of cramming during my uni years, but crying? That's taking it way too far. Crying never helped anyone prepare better, as far as I know. I'm sure you will be able to put the bad stuff past you.
Shalastar - In theory I'd say yes, but there are a lot of strings attached. First, there is no such thing in the game world as a generic lvl 20 sorceress. That would have been some very renowned or legendary individual who you must have seen personally or at least on many very detailed images to be able to impersonate. Second, those wings would be purely decorative and immediately discovered as such if touched. Third, there will still be a Will save to disbelieve the illusion, possibly with a penalty to DC if the disguise is especially out-of-place. But yes, you can use wings or tail or a nimbus or forked tongue or perhaps even smoke or lighting effects as part of your disguise.
Cool. As far as I know, the disguise self is an illusion (glamer) spell, not an alteration spell, so I would expect all changes to be merely holographic.
I've only got one final left, and while the definitely worst ones are behind me, I'm not quite ready to start slouching.

I am assuming there won't be an issue with this...but back in character creation, I totally forgot to add an extra language for my INT being 18. So I added Goblin to my list of languages known.

Might I suggest DMPC'ing Treize through this round. I feel like we've waited well past the new year's time frame. :P
That's two people to DMPC already... I have a player that may possibly replace Kyrul once we get out of this area.

I'm around, but I'll be honest, I'm checking it less and less every week.
When we started, I was here multiple times a day. Now I'm around maybe once every few days.
I'm not dropping out just yet, but I'm losing interest. This is much slower than I thought it would. We haven't even gotten through a single encounter.
Sigh.... I know the feeling.....
Well, the moderately good thing about that is that I'm not as emotionally attached to my character as time goes by.

I'll be away from the 18th to the 28th, so if Tragen awakens in that period, feel free to DMPC him.
Thank you everyone for responding. I think we may need to discuss the unlikely event of DM Flykiller being unable to DM the game. Should we attempt to find another DM if that should be the case?
I'm still more than willing to play if we can get a little bit more regularity in posts. If this same rate continues, I might respectfully step out.
Well, I'm doing what I can from my end to prevent that from happening, Vendis. I usually give a GM a week before assuming he's abandoned the game, but with Flykiller who said his posting might be a bit more erratic, I'm willing to give a little more time. However, after that time has passed, I seriously think we should attempt to find a GM willing to work with the characters as they are. In other words, someone not afraid to work with Way of the Wicked as the mature game I believe it was intended to be (which is not the same thing as adult, but I think there are mature themes in Way of the Wicked that responsible people can enjoy).
Also replacement characters for any that have abandoned. I do think we need each of the sins represented. Just to maintain that balance of monstrosity. :P
Megan Robertson (who frequently reviews 3rd party materials on Paizo and elsewhere) is currently DMing Curse of the Crimson Throne for one of my alts. I asked her if she had time to DM Way of the Wicked for us, and she said she did. So if everyone who's still listening would like to chime in on whether or not that would be a good thing, it would also give me a bit of a roll call to see who is still here.
In other news, I've checked flykiller's alts. Most have not posted anything since January 9th, and in at least one game he has said he doesn't have time for gaming.
If you'd like to continue the game, please let me know, and I'll invite Megan to the discussion thread.
