Ten Fun Facts About Goblins
1: Horse Hate – Goblins excel at riding animals, but they don’t quite get horses. In fact, their hatred of all things horse is matched only by their fear of horses, who tend to step on goblins who get too close.

2: Dog Hate – Although goblins raise horrible rat-faced creatures called (creatively enough) goblin dogs to use as mounts (and ride wolves or worgs if they can get them – goblins are quick to explain that wolves are NOT dogs), their hatred of plain old dogs nearly matches their hatred of horses. The feeling is mutual. If your dog’s barking at the woodpile for no reason, chances are he smells as frightened goblin hiding in there somewhere.

3: Goblins Raid Junkyards – Garbage pits, gutters, sewers…anywhere there’s garbage, you can bet goblins are nearby. Goblins are weirdly adept at crafting weapons and armor from refuse, and are found of killing people with what they throw away.

4: Goblins Love to Sing – Unfortunately, as catch as their lyrics can be, goblin songs tend to be a bit too creepy and disturbing to catch on in polite society.

5: They’re sneaky – An excited or angry goblin is a noisy, chattering, toothy menace, but even then, he can drop into an unsettling silence in a heartbeat. This, matched with their diminuitive size, makes them unnervingly adept at hiding in places you’d never expect: stacks of firewood, rain barrels, under logs, under chicken coops, in ovens…

6: They’re a little crazy – The fact that goblins think of things like ovens as good hiding places reveals much about their inability to think plans through to their most likely outcome. That, and they tend to be easily distracted, particularly by shining things and animals smaller than them that might make good eating.

7: They’re voracious – Given enough supplies, a goblin generally takes nearly a dozen meals a day. Most goblin tribes don’t have enough supplies to accomodate such ravenous appetites, which is why the little menaces are so prone to going on raids.

8: They Like Fire – Burning things is one of the great goblin pastimes, although they’re generally pretty careful about lighting fires in their own lairs, especially since goblins tend to live in large tangled thistle patches and sleep in beds of dried leaves and grass. But give a goblin a torch and someone else’s home and you’ve got trouble.

9: They Get Stuck Easily – Goblins have wiry frames but wide heads. They live in cramped warrens. Sometimes too cramped.

10: Goblins Believe Writing Steals Your Soul – The walls of goblin lairs and the ruins of towns goblins have raided are littered with pictures of their exploits. They never use writing, though. That’s not lucky. Writing steals words out of your head. You can’t get them back.

We be Goblins 1 is one of the cool modules you can play for credit multiple times. You can apply the chronicle sheet once to a level 2, and as many times as you want to a level 1.

I've never played either, and would be down for it.

My understanding is that they are kind of deadly, (with the intent more for the evil) characters to probably die by the end. I'm game for whichever character, and will take the one that the group needs, (probably the Cleric which might be a very different experience for me).

Question, as these two are modules, do they offer 3 XP, and 6 Fame/PP, or are they like Forgotten Fortress, and more like a sort of long scenario?

Conditions and Death:

In Pathfinder Society Organized Play, a player who plays
a pregenerated character that dies must still resolve the
death and recovery when applying the Chronicle sheet.
This is also the case for We Be Goblins Too!; however, part
of the fun of an all-goblin module is the opportunity
to perform zany feats, even if they lead to the goblin’s
death. To reflect the spirit of the module, at the end of
the adventure, any dead pregenerated goblin characters
may recover from death completely for only 5 Prestige
Points; this includes both the cost of raise dead and the
cost of removing the permanent negative levels and any
other conditions.

Getting Credit:

All players who play the entire module receive the
attached Chronicle sheet which may be applied to any
2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-level PC as if that character had played
the module. A GM who runs a module may likewise
apply credit to any one of her Pathfinder Society PCs of
those levels. The decision of which character to apply
credit to must be made when the Chronicle sheet is
received and signed by the GM.
Because We Be Goblins Too! is shorter than most
Pathfinder Modules, playing the adventure from
beginning to end earns a player 1 XP and 1 Prestige
Point. The GM likewise earns 1 XP and 1 Prestige Point
for running the entire module.
As always, each player may receive credit for each
module once as a player and once as a GM in either order.

Question on playing again. You said earlier that it could be played for credit multiple times, but the second longer explaination seems to indicate you can only get xp once as a player.

That second longer explanation is for we be goblins 2. The guide to organized play states that level 1-2 modules and level 1 scenarios can be played multiple times for credit. ( first steps 1,2,3, Master of the Fallen Fortress, Crypt of the Everflame, etc.)

On another note, death rules, and scenario completion rules are a bit different for we be goblins! 1. To put it simply, We be Goblins 2 can only be played one time for credit, We be goblins 1 can be played unlimited times. You may apply the chronicle from the first We be Giblins one time and one time only to a second level character. Every other time a chronicle is earned in We be Goblins 1 the credit must be applied to a first level character.

Here is the quote from Chapter 5 of the guide to organized play

There is one exception to these rules: All Tier 1
scenarios and Tier 1–2 sanctioned modules are available
for unlimited replay with a 1st-level character for credit.
The sanctioned modules can also be played with a 2ndlevel
character once for credit. You may continue to
replay the sanctioned modules with 1st-level characters
after playing through them with a 2nd-level character.
GMs can receive another Chronicle sheet each time they
run one of the Tier 1 scenarios or Tier 1–2 sanctioned
modules. No character can ever have two of the same
Chronicle—the Chronicle must be applied to a different
character each time.

Just in case anyone is interested, I have just seen THIS. I have sent them a PM in regards to some of the things I was going to present to Paizo about PbP's, hoping o expand them and possibly even get some convention statues boons here and there. CJ allowed me to hijack this discussion thread for recruitment (I should have left Azlant Ridge open to keep the group in one thread, but it didn't occur to me then). We're missing Sam and John in this group, but I'll contact them separately.

So, I noticed that Peri's up at 5th level now, which throws off the balance a little, but I'm wondering if everyone wanted to continue together with characters from the Rescue at Azlant Ridge group. We'd have to play up again, but I don't think it would be a problem.

Beckett, I know you're spread a little thin, but I also know you won't abandon the game, even if you can't post for a while. The choice is yours.

I'd like to continue to play. I currently only have a level 4 Cleric (in need of updating), a Level 2 Inquisitor (in need of slight updating), and a level 8 or 9 Cleric.

Haris just made 3rd and is sitting around picking his nose, waiting for anything that Big Mustache might hand down.

Mu Ping just did game 1 of level 1. -and is also picking his nose and waiting for anything.

WBG sounds like fun, though I'm unclear on the idea - do XP/PP gained in WBG get located to other PFS characters? -or is WBG add a goblin character to the PFS account?


For We Be Goblins you play a pregenerated goblin but apply credit to one of your own 1st level PFS characters.

Lordzum's WBG has already started though, and I don't know if I'll run that yet myself (its a 4 player scenario I think).


OK, no prob, so my other two would be openly available.

BTW I haven't received either Chronicles for Haris or Mu.

If you guys would rather play a 1-5 until you hit three, I have a few low tier guys available. That and I am not a player that hates playing down, here for the group dynamic.


You guys played up for Alzant Ridge and did ok. If we have a consensus for Sewer Dragons I'll get it, look it over, and give my opinion in playability.

Chances are I'll run 2 games simultaneously, so the lower level characters can play something. Can everyone list the characters (and their level) that they have available?
